I'm thinking about booking a prenatal massage with the therapist at my new chiro office....I normally tip for this kind of service, but didn't know if that would be weird in a medical setting....thoughts???
At my chiropractor, you get a short massage when you come in for treatment but you can also book a longer massage with the lady who does them. I would tip for the longer one. I actually asked the chiropractors wife (who ran the office) if I should tip for the short massage and she said no.

Thanks- this would also be a separate appointment.
It's snowing here today . Not surprised because we always get snow the last week of March but ugh. It's supposed to be nice the rest of the week so maybe spring will actually come in April.
I finally found a massage therapist who has a belly table and booked an appt for the 4th (her first available) so excited.
Add me to the grumpy/exhausted list. I asked my OB to take me off work at my appt today. I'll finish out the week but then I'm done. I'm measuring at full term for a singleton so no wonder I'm so uncomfortable. Hopefully going off work will let the babies cook longer and I can actually make it to 37+ weeks.

I don't think it'll be weird.
So, this may be a UO or FFTC, but I don't tip my massage therapist. I see the same one every time I go though..
I somewhat second this but it depends on the setting. If I get a massage from someone who owns their practice and sets their own rate, I don't tip. If I'm at a spa or group practice, then I tip.
Me: 32, Wife: 38, Together for 5 years, Married for 2 years IUI #1 (8/2016): Letrozole, Ovidrel, Crinone = BFN IUI #2 (9/2016): Letrozole, Ovidrel, Endometrin = BFP!! EDD 5/26/17

She has her own practice and sets the rate. I have tipped the one time I went to a group place
Am I the only one around here who is pro-Moby? I loved mine. You can pre-tie it before you leave the house and just pop baby in when you get wherever you're going, and I found it comfortable for extended wearing.
Have OB tomorrow but I don't think I have any more scans unless they feel like they need to check something. Sooooo might not get another look at this girlie until she makes her appearance. I think her dance marathons on my round ligaments are making up for it though, lol.
Has anyone installed their car seat yet? H wants to install the bases in our cars this weekend but I still feel like it's early (4 weeks). I can't remember when we did it last time.
DH installed the carseats the day we were discharged. Granted we live within walking distance to the hospital. This time we will wait as well since we don't know what vehicle to put the seat in at someone with have the girls and I assume one of our vehicles with our carseats.
I legit can't remember when we did this. I feel like it was maybe 3 weeks out or so? This time will probably just throw it in the trunk too and make DH put it in before discharge.
Umm people who have experienced actual contractions/labor before: I've been getting short, sharp pains across my pelvis (under the bump) all day. They aren't consistent and decrease a lot when I drink water and sit down. I'm feeling pretty sure it's Braxton Hicks but do you think it's worth calling the OB? I'm 35 weeks today. I feel dumb even posing the question but I experienced zero labor signs before DD's RCS so I have no idea what it feels like!
mcp6286 if they're subsiding, it's BH. I was told to always call if I was concerned, but I personally wouldn't in this case. Real contractions won't subside with rest and fluids

^This.
But I would also still call if you're getting more than 10 in an hour, that's what my OB wants us to do but yours may be different. mcp6286

We had rainy spring weather today, but we still went to the playground and let max stomp around in puddles. He got horribly messy, but had so much fun I can't even be a little upset.
I'm dying from heartburn/reflux. I'm on Prilosec now and getting no more relief than when I was just taking Zantac. My doctor said he can call in a prescription for carafate, but I looked it up and of course it's a tier 4 drug which makes it 150. Which is outrageous. So now I'm trying to decide between that and suffering until I have this baby. It's bullshit that it's even a choice people have to make.
Thanks girls. It was really bad earlier when I was walking around the school but since I've been home and resting, it's been better. Fingers crossed tomorrow is better...I'm not ready for this baby to come yet!
anfranklin2 Ugh, I'm sorry, that's so ridiculous. I had the Carafate liquid with DS1 and only took one dose of it because it immediately made me vomit. I think there may be a tablet version of it, I'm not entirely sure.
Today's scan went well and confirmed what I already knew, baby boy is just going to be big like his brother. I have a history of fetal macrosomia so I really didn't learn anything that I didn't already have experience with but I suppose it's better safe than sorry. We did find out that he has a lot of hair so he'll probably end up looking very similar to DS1! He's estimated to be 5lb2oz so that's fun.
BabyStandish the CPR class was good. They follow the American heart association video program and give everyone infant dolls to practice with. They also went over choking and how to help a choking baby and regular safety information (crib safety, baby proofing rooms, and car seat safety). It was good for a first timer who doesn't know things but not sure how beneficial it would be for a STM since you probably know most of the stuff
