I won't be around much either today... We are heading up to Dayton to the boonshoft museum of discovery. We've never been so hopefully it's age appropriate for her.
I keep calling my doctors office to ask them to call in test strips and lancets for my blood sugar meter, and the pharmacy still does not have the prescription. WTF. I called right after the class on Friday bc I knew I wouldn't have enough for the weekend, and spoke with a nurse and she said they would call them in. Nothing. Then I called yesterday and they were out of the office for lunch, so I left a message. Nothing. In a weird way, it makes following the diet even worse if I don't get to check my blood sugar and get that confirmation after each meal that it's working.
Also, I paid for the premium version of My Fitness Pal because I thought it was going to let me set a carb goal for each meal. It doesn't just a calorie goal per meal, and a carb goal for the whole day. And I have no idea how many calories I should be eating.
And since I'm bitching about things, my effing dog peed on my effing rug. I pulled it into the garage and scrubbed and shampooed, and it still smells like pee. I really liked that rug, too. And I know if I throw it out and buy a new one like it, she'll just pee on that one too. I got her a crate last weekend, but my bleeding heart husband says we have to give her time to "get used to it" before we start crating her when we go to work.

JoBub, Sorry things are rough ATM. What kind of rug is it? Spraying the rug down in vinegar and then letting it dry in the sun should help with the smell. I soak vinegar in orange peels to keep on hand for cleaning and it seems to work at eliminating odors too.

It's like a really shaggy soft rug. Not really sure what it's made out of. I will definitely try the vinegar and orange peels thing.
My dumb ass just doused it in carpet cleaner, and now I can't get all the cleaner out. I've been running the Spot Bot with just plain water trying to suck up all the bubbles, and it's just never ending. This was on Sunday in the garage, and it's been raining, so not the best conditions for drying. When I got home yesterday it was still wet, and still felt sudsy like when there's shampoo in your hair. I'm really tempted to just hose it down to get all the bubbles out, since I'm about 50/50 on whether I'm going to end up throwing the whole thing away anyway.
But if the MFer ever dries, vinegar will be my next attempt.

My dog has been on my last nerve with her peeing in the house lately. For no reason other than she's a bitch. I've been wanting to let my mom take her for the longest, but DH refuses. I crate her even when I'm home. She his dog and I'm sick of dealing her. No more pets in this house. I've had enough of them.
I have two different claims that I'm dealing with being denied. One of the lip tie being cut (the tongue tie was covered wtf). The other is that my blood work for the thyroid check was denied because they said they don't cover treatment for hair loss (that was one symptom in a long checklist.) I have to appeal both. I finally got the first one done after getting docs from the doctor- it's so annoying that they have these big health systems so I can't just call the doctors office and ask for it, I have to call some general line, leave a message for a nurse to call back, then tell them what I need and then hunt down to make sure they sent it. I only have 6 months and I just got it done under the wire. On number 2, the nurse sent over the notes but when I got onto my health insurance it doesn't show it as pending or anything so I gotta figure out what's up with that. No wonder people just pay whatever

Ugh sounds like everyone is having a stellar morning lol. Sorry to all the peeing animals, shitty medical claims and other annoyances. I've really got nothing today so far. Day 2 of work and feeling guilty leaving the baby at dc to get no sleep, I hope she'll get it together today and take more than a 15 min nap. Also N pooped her pants at dc yesterday while in transition to the new room, I hope it was just bc of the change, they were outside and maybe she didn't know what to do. Both kids had blowouts at school and I had to take their poopy bags of clothes home and they are just sitting in the sink in the basement-being a mom is so glamorous. I'm trying to decide what to do for lunch. I have to run an errand in Kenwood, so I have lots of options but can't make a decision--throw some options at me!!
Called the doctor's office again, and then they called me back to say they did actually call in my prescription yesterday AND Friday. I called Walgreens and the automated system still said they had nothing from me. Finally got through to a real person, and it turns out my doctor called it in with my name but not my date of birth, and they thought my last name started with an F instead of S. So I called and the pharmacist was asking all these questions like my address and insurance and everything like I had never used that pharmacy before, and then she finally realized the mistake and found all my info and now the prescription is finally getting filled.
Sounds like everyone is having an awesome day so far. Hope it turns around and everyone ends up having a great day.
In case you didn't see my post on the May board im trying to take both kids to the dentist by myself this afternoon for my cleaning and the bigs. I think it will be better once that is over.

Who has experience with sinus infections? I think that's my issue. No tooth pain today. But lots of congestion, massive pressure in my head, when I blow my nose it's nasty, and google tells me upper tooth aches are common with sinus infections. This congestion and cough are still lingering a month after my cold, so maybe? I think becole had a SI some months ago? The OB can prescribe something right? I feel like the last couple months have been one thing after another. Ugh. Can't wait for all the illness and car troubles and all other stress inducing things to make their exit.

No experience with si but I took antibiotics during pregnancy. You should have it checked out bc I'm pretty sure they will be able to give you something for it. Sorry you're feeling miserable, hope you get it cleared up soon.

I had one from hell that made my face (like the bones in my cheeks) feel like they could explode. It was intense. I was nursing but amoxicillin cleared it up. Took a week for the pain to go away and then even after I had the 10 days of amoxicillin, I still had green snot but it eventually went away. It was a whopper. No tooth pain, but the way it made my face hurt and no Tylenol or Advil even touched it.
