(I already announced this on FB so sorry for the repeat AWing.)
I know I haven't been around for a long time but I do miss you guys and think of you often. I think last time I was really active I was looking for a teaching job. There are so many things I wanted to tell you about but I have to be so careful that I don't share anything confidential. I can tell you that I started the year in 5th grade, got laid off due to class size after 2 months, then switched gears and took over a kindergarten classroom at an entirely different school. I got handed some of the most challenging situations I'll ever face in my career (hopefully), and to say it has been rocky and difficult would be an understatement. Administration was not a fan of me for some misunderstandings, I was physically assaulted most days, and I spent an average of an hour a day documenting a single child. The good news is I have persevered and in the past month things have really turned around for me. I am looking forward to enjoying the last few months of school which should be peaceful now that I have solved many of my problems.
On to being KTFU: DH and I have been NTNP since F was 6 months. I have PCOS and required metformin + clomid to get pregnant the first time, so my hopes haven't been high that I would get pregnant on my own. Apparently the secret sauce this time was to sign up for disability with paid maternity benefits- the only catch was I need to wait 30 days before getting pregnant, and I signed up 3/1 (and so the plan was to start really TTC in April). Oops. We are thrilled however since we really wanted #2 and have been talking about it for months. My first appointment is Monday after school and I am switching to a new practice/new doctor that I am excited to meet. LMP was 2/14 so I am about 6 weeks now and should be due in November.
Sticks I peed on behind the spoiler.
