The baby was up 3 times last night and there was traffic all the way to daycare this morning. So I'm eating a breakfast burrito and I have a larrrge Diet Pepsi. Wish it was Diet Coke but it will do.

fem Been thinking of you and hope therapy goes well. becole Coke > Pepsi, definitely. Hope the rest of your day gets better.
Disgruntled because the baby actually STTN and I didn't get a wink because I could not breathe. I may need to drag myself to the doctor at this point because the congestion is so bad that I'm gagging when I cough from lack of oxygen.
And we have a party on Saturday at our house. With 20 people. The only good thing is I splurged to get it catered so I'm not gonna infect anyone since I'm not the one cooking. But uuuugh.

Sorry for the wake ups. We had a lot too, I'm hoping it's just these two teeth about to pop through.
I'm beginning to wonder if baby's teeth will ever come through.
I have caught the cold bug that's plaguing our house. I need to see if Cold Eeze or any of those pre-cold things are safe while breastfeeding.
After work (and dinner/bedtime), I need to drop off stuff at a consignment sale. It was a lot of work and I'm not sure I'll do it again. At least i have everything set to donate after so it's out of the house no matter what.
becole boo to wake ups and traffic... I wish I liked diet soda, but I just can't get past the fake sugary taste.
Today is my Friday, so just gonna power through the work day. I have a bunch of stuff I'd like to finish, so I don't have to do too much over the weekend (I put in 4 hours from home).

The nurseline at our pedi's office just called me back cause I had the same questions about Zicam and Dayquil stuff. They said they don't recommend because it decreases your supply. I asked if it was bad for baby, they said the thing about the supply again. Honestly, I'm so sick my supply is already down. If that's all, I'm taking the damn Zicam.
I'm at work, but I have to go to DD2's school in a little bit because she's receiving an award at her assembly. Their assemblies are so cute - the kids usually sing songs and are just adorable. Today is career day and she decided she wanted to be a scientist, so she brought a lab coat and goggles to school with her. Hopefully she's wearing it for the assembly, so I can get a picture of her.

macaronmama, iwantbacon, I've had a ton of colds and have not taken anything because of the effect on supply. It sucks. I hope you both feel better soon.
G woke up at 3:30 this morning because he was hungry. He went back into bed around 5 (ate for 45 minutes, then slept on me for a while), woke back up at 5:30, fell asleep on MH, and was still asleep when I left for work. N woke up at 5:45, so at that point, all 4 of us were in the bed. MH tried to have a conversation about giving G more milk and/or solids during the day while I was feeding him at 3:45 this morning. Not the best time LOL.
I'm working a half day today because I have the consultation with the oral surgeon for my wisdom teeth this afternoon. I'm hoping to maybe get a quick nap in after the appointment. Other than that, nothing exciting going on.

My left ear is totally stopped up and I'm annoyed. I'm on my last day of antibiotics and this just started yesterday....why??? I can't hear much out of it and it's just obnoxious. I can't decide if I want to go back to the doctor or wait it out, maybe try some home methods.
This has been the longest week EVER and I really need it to be over. I'm so ready to rest and relax over the weekend.
We got our fence yesterday! It's beautiful and the wood smells amazing. I'm so happy with it. Our yard is so small which was definitely amplified by getting the fence, but I feel a million times better about the safety aspect.
Apparently I slept like the dead last night. DH said the baby was up a couple of times and so was DS. Didn't hear a peep.
Today I need to continue on cleaning my house. My parents are leaving for Cuba this afternoon so they are going to stop by, DNW them seeing my dirty house lol.
My new diaper bag arrived this morning. I'm excited to pack it and see how it works. (I scored the Bodomint backpack on craigslist for $40!! Though I did have to pay someone to ship it to me, but still).

smallpotato GL with the wisdom teeth thing. ksyknelvr73, when my ears hurt, I always find a heat pad to the side of the head helps me. I spent Monday with my rice wrap around my head and DH kept shooting me weird looks. @snuff9861, hope you got some good sleep then.
So sorry for everyone who's feeling sick. Makes everything so much harder. fem hope your therapy session goes well today. @ksyknelvr so jealous of your fence! We have a decent sized backyard and it's just too much to fence ours in. But I sooo want one. We had some coyote sightings last year that freeeeaked me out. jwinct have fun at the assembly and congrats to DD for her award! Dd1 is at preschool and dd2 is actually taking a linger than 30 minute nap. So I did tons of overdue dishes, straightened up the house, cleaned and organized two closets, and now I'm just resting for a few before I bring laundry upstairs. It feels so good to have accomplished something! And just to have been able to breathe and be alone with my thoughts for linger than 30 minutes. Dd2 actually slept 830-430. Omg I was so happy. I unfortunately woke at 130 for a bit waiting for her to get up and then couldn't get back to sleep after the 430 wake up so I don't feel all that much better physically. BUT I saw a spark of light at the end of the tunnel which I'll take. I have therapy this afternoon. I wish it was more than 45 minutes and/or that I could afford to go more than every 2 weeks. But I'll take what I can get. Still have the shopping and cooking and cleaning for dd1s family party this weekend on my mind. My brother is flying in tonight. I'm so excited to see him. It's going to be a good family filled weekend. I'm hoping to get some crocheting done during naps. I've made so many blankets and hats, and I just don't know what exactly I'm doing with them. It's just something that I can do right now where my life is at, that I also really enjoy doing. But do I start an etsy page? Do craft fairs? I'm not that social and don't like being critiqued or sitting alone in a crowd, so that sounds kind of awful. I could donate some but I've spent a bunch of money on yarn, I'd like to try to make some money on themy too. I dunno, just rambling. I know people have been discussing BLW. When do people start it again? I've started purees but as soon as would be appropriate I'm planning to steam fruits and veggies and give DD2 little chunks to eat. I just forgot when that is. 6 months? I think I waited a little longer with dd1, but not too long. I would definitely say she's not as picky as most toddlers. She eats salad which I think is kind of ridiculous on a funny way, but also great. The only thing with her is that she hit a point where she stopped trying anything new. So she hasn't had any new food in months. I don't push it because she really does eat a good variety or fruits and veggies and protein. I hide some of the other stuff in casseroles and things. OK I think that's all I've got.
@snuff9861 we just had friends come play for a few hours, and it's amazing how clean I can get the house in 20 minutes when I want to. When it's just us I definitely don't have the motivation.
sanibel21 I hope your appointment goes well too. Maybe a craft fair would be a good idea because you just have to commit to one day, vs. the more constant management of an Etsy or online site. Maybe you could take a social friend to handle the customers.

I can see Dayquil or something with a decongestant decreasing supply, but I can't imagine zinc would. I take Zicam while nursing. Perhaps I only read what I wanted to read on The Google but it said it was ok. Doc >> The Google

sanibel21, We're starting BLW at 6 months. We'll start with strips of food that he can hold and bite off, not pieces - things like banana, avocado, and sweet potatoes.
The assembly was adorable, as always. They had all of the first graders go up to the microphone and say what they wanted to be when they grow up; that was both adorable and hilarious. (DD2 is in 2nd grade, so she didn't do it.) She got Student of the Month for her class. At the end the assembly, all the kids always do a dance. Well, today they asked all the parents and grandparents to join their student and dance the Cha Cha Slide. I was so not expecting to be dancing at the assembly, but it was fun.
Here's my little scientist after she got her award. I had to crop all the other kids out, so the pictures are blurry.
So cute jwinct. Your daughter looks very happy and I'm sure it's because her Mama is there.
Therapy was really good. I love my therapist. I'm currently eating at Panera alone before I get the baby. I have an hour and a half with her ( just leaving DD1 at daycare) before I drop her off at DH's work. I have to work this evening for conferences but I usually only have 1 or 2 to attend and spend the rest of the time socializing and eating the free dinner provided.

My first free lance article was in the paper today And tomorrow I have my first interview for my first official assignment. I'll be taking Lil P with me and most likely wearing her while I do the interview. My FIL is going to watch Big P for me.
penguin129 - Congrats on the published article and the assignment! Good luck! That's so cool.
I have so much trouble staying focused at work these days. I'm so easily distracted by my own thoughts... like today I'm distracted because I'm thinking about how my deck needs to be restained before we can put our furniture back out on it. And how I need to look and see if we still have the can of stain we used, so I can make sure I buy the right color (I think it's called Redwood). And I'm psyched that the type of stain I'm looking at can be applied in any temperature and doesn't need to dry very long before it gets rained on or the temp drops below a certain threshold.

Oh look, a squirrel! LOL
Me too. I have a list a mile long of non work things to get done and I can't even get all my work stuff done.

Thanks jwinct. I think I'll only make $25. It's enough to pay for a month of yoga and gives me an occupation in addition to stay at home mom. I'm cool with that.
sanibel21, for your knitting, I'd just make a Facebook page. Then join all your local bst and mom groups, usually at least once a month they allow you to "advertise." You can sell that way, offer custom options, and not have to give a cut to etsy or cost of a booth at a craft show.
