I just realized DS is 6 weeks today. He need to just stop it. Last baby problems.
I know!!! L is our last. He is 7 weeks and every week that passes has me thinking about a third. I'm packing up my maternity clothes to donate but... they are going in the basement. For now.

Random question: I just noticed his skin on his big toes is growing up and over the top of his toe nails. I've never seen this before with my other kids. He has big feet so I try to size up his sleepers, could that be a cause or what is it? I can't cut his toe nails without cutting the skin and I'm afraid to hurt him 🙈. I'm and so afraid he'll get an ingrown toenail and those are painful. A little hard to tell in the pic he was wiggly. Doctor worthy??

Damn he's smart cosmicav that's so impressive to me! Especially where K is just really starting to get chatty. She is so active I can hardly get her to sit to count to three, has no idea about the alphabet, and doesn't even say her own name. lol she'll get there eventually.
littleredfish I have no idea. They look like the nails are short but I definitely see what you mean about the skin growing over.
LOVE Chicago med. unfortunately season 1 isn't on Netflix and I burned through season 2 already. I think it's on tonight though.
Do you watch the other Chicago shows? They are all very good.
I haven't, but my H watches them all. They used to shoot Chicago fire outside of our old condo all the time so I guess I should start there. Do you have a favorite?

Yeah I thought it was a long nail and went to cut it and realized it was skin not nail. The nail itself is short to leave it for now, but I wonder if when it does grow if it will just push the skin out of the way and fix itself or cause an ingrown nail. I've had one that got infected and it hurt like hell. The 2nd pic is blurry but easier to tell how much over the nail it is.

We just got home from the park. It's like 50 and sunny here and so nice. I just can't accept that this stupid snow is coming tomorrow and Saturday. I need to prep dinner, no idea what the heck to make.

They're all very good. If I had to rank them, it would be Fire, Justice, Med, and PD. They crossover all the time though.

It's swimming night here, so we are having sandwiches. Is that helpful?

Both my babes look like this too...assuming just short nails but keeping an eye on them.
I am thankful that MissO just latched and ate sans nipple shield!!! Now to see if I can get her to keep it up. May need to stop tandem feeds to focus them more.
Edit to add a FFFC: Moments like this make me wish I'd had a singleton. Up in the nursery rocking and worining on a latch that I can't do when feeding two. Last pg and babies so prolly more feels than with LO1. So many firsts and lasts this time around. 😭😭😭

Well, I am late to the party today. I'm thankful we can afford to take our sick kids to get the treatment they need. Thankful for my mom helping us out and a supportive H who is also a rockstar dad. Also thankful for you ladies letting me rant and talk mom.
DS1 is pretty much back to his normal self. DS2 has had no fever since 4am but still not eating normally. At his appointment this morning the doctor said he looked better so, that's awesome.
I've been trying to LT for support and hope to get back to normal soon!
littleredfish, G's toes did this when she was in her hip harness- it covers the feet- and she outgrew the room in it before she was done having to wear it. We ended up sniping off a corner so her big toes could stick out! The nails on those toes are still short and grow funky, but haven't affected anything. I would just say if it gets impacted or seems painful to him, check with the pedi.

I was hoping that was the case. DD1 had fat swollen feet as a baby so everything was too tight in her feet. Her 2nd toe is longer than her big toe so it got squished a lot and now her nail grows up and over like a curl instead of straight. I'd just never seen the skin grow like that on a big toe. DD2 has my deformed pinky toe with the super high cuticle where you can barely see a nail at all. Feet are weird.

After hearing some horrific news about a co workers baby, I am just thankful that I am able to snuggle my girls tonight. I will never, ever take my girls for granted and thank God for them every day.

littleredfish, feet are so weird. I have tiny toenails and DH has huge ones. DS1 has my foot shape with DH's nails and DS2 has my feet and nails. Bizarre how toes end up.
Thankful for H - he's trying to be more helpful now that baby's here, and he works for a place he hates because it allows me to stay home. Also thankful he works from home!
My DH hates his job too, he was looking at other jobs but stopped when we found out the FET was a success since we needed the insurance. He comes home and rants for 15 minutes then he is good for the night.
Very late to the party today as R has been fussy with gas the majority of the day.
I'm thankful for DH for the reason above and taking care of R in the middle of the night most nights.
I'm thankful for 2 of my very good friends that have helped out so much during the pregnancy and R's first month of life.
I'm thankful for my mom who helped me out the first two weeks and my dad for driving her 7 hours each way to make that happen.
I'm thankful that we are able to pay off a chunk of our credit card debt this week from our IVF cycle last year and still have enough extra money to pay the hospital bill as we found out how much insurance covered last night on the portal.
Most of all, I'm thankful for my son. Even on the tough days like today, I still look at him and my heart melts. Well worth the wait and the long road to get to this point.

I'm going to try to play here more! The doubled dose of Lexapro seems to be working and I'm coping with life a bit better.
H is out of town today and tomorrow and let's just say solo parenting turned into a shit show this evening. The toddler has started hitting the baby, deliberately.

wildflower810 LT for feeling better; not the toddler hitting part. We go through phases where the toddler is hitting us; it's not good. She throws things at the baby. We've taken away her hockey stick...ask me why I ever gave someone under 2 a hockey stick?

My neighbor gave my toddler a hockey stick. I...still do not have words. It's currently living in DH's car because I just cannot.

My toddler hits us sometimes and also hits random other things when he's mad. I think it's a phase... right?

DD2 started out indifferent to DS but now she's all about ripping off his blanket, trying to swing him too high in his swing, poking him in the eyes and hitting. Toddlers are a bad mix of lacking both personal space and empathy.

DS tried to feed baby with his pretend spoon last night. She really didn't appreciate it. But then he does things like tries to pick her up when she's fussing, which is simultaneously adorable and terrifying. Life with a toddler is never boring.

wildflower810 LT for commiseration. shawnabm1320 my DS also does this. I ask why he is hitting and he calmly says "I'm frustrated mommy, but I'm better now". Maybe I should get him a punching bag?
Not even sure I made the party today but after an especially trying day I am thankful to come to this post and read about all the things you ladies are thankful for. It honestly makes me happy and made my day! Also happy for my family and life really. Work has been very demanding and crazy, but I really do love it. I expected this but I didn't get maternity leave, I am able to do a lot from home but have had to be up there since one week pp, hence being so absent here. Thankful I can tote DD with most of the time and it's all working out even tho it makes life nuts!
