Month/Cycle: 2AL, 4 TTCA

CD/DPO: 20/3

RRCS: nothing since I got CHs I'm good. Timing ok. I just hope I can keep expectations low since it totally could have been a fluke getting pregnant quickly for this loss since my 1st loss was 12 months and DD was 9 months after that. Plus with Dec EDD....yeah I need to set my expectations really low.

GTKY: This was a very important question on my BMB; how do you eat a bagel? Do you eat the top first, bottom first, or squish both halves together and eat it like a sandwich? Squishing is just silly. Nope! Eat one at a time, preferable the bottom first followed by the top, because it's fluffier and more delicious and I like to end on the best!

I don't think there has been one posted. I thought about it a couple times but I'm terrible at coming up with GTKY questions. Lol.

Age of LO(s): 7, 4, 20 months

Month/Cycle: 2/2 (3AL)

CD/DPO: 18/pretty sure I'm ovulating or will tomorrow. My OPK around noon was almost positive and I've got some serious pain in my right ovary region.

RRCS: Does anyone else get that? Pretty bad ovary pain during ovulation? Like sex is pretty painful the day before, day of and day after ovulation. I can feel it when I change positions while sitting. Last cycle it was on my left, this time it's on my right. Definitely points toward ovulation in my head. I talked to my OB about it once. They did an ultrasound of my ovaries and said I had PCOS. Really I think I just have polycystic ovaries, I have no other symptoms of PCOS except sometimes longer cycles.

GTKY: This was a very important question on my BMB; how do you eat a bagel? Do you eat the top first, bottom first, or squish both halves together and eat it like a sandwich? I don't really think about top or bottom first, but absolutely not as a sandwich. Unless I make like a real sandwich with a bagel or something. But with cream cheese it's just one half at a time.

Age: 11.5 mos

Month/Cycle: I have some good spotting today so I have a feeling tomorrow will the start of Cycle/Month 2.

CD: 26. Opk was positive 4 days ago but I have some good spotting and cramping so I'm thinking Cd1 may be tomorrow. Either opk is wrong or luteal phase is still short (maybe since I'm still breastfeeding and this is my 2nd pp cycle). Anyone have experience with this?

ajetter I have O pains sometimes. Not every cycle though. The medicated cycle with DD was SO painful because I had 2super mature follies! This cycle I actually had really bad pains on my right side Sunday, which was the day before O. I was really surprised not to see a spike that next day because I was sure I had ovulated based on the pain.

RRCS: eh, my temps are soooooooo low and I got a positive OPK AFTER the ch FF gave me. So I'm assuming eventually it will wake up and adjust my ch. probably whenever I get an actual temp spike.

RRCS: I feel better this month having charted and knowing my O date. However, 75% of what I think about every day is still TTC related. I wish I could be more low key about it. Unfortunately I don't know how to do anything low key, stupid anxiety.

Depends on my mood, have done all three ways and I don't eat bagels enough to have a regular way.

westiemom I never took OPKs while nursing, but until I stopped nursing completely my cycles were crazy, and even then they still weren't even close to normal. That's not all that helpful. I'm sorry.

That's actually super helpful. Thank you. It's good to hear it's normal. I can read it on Google all day but I appreciate the personal experience.

CD/DPO: 22/1 (I think. Not temping again yet)

RRCS: I wish I had started temping this month. I'm trying not to be so controlling about TTC this time but that doesn't seem likely.

If I'm eating in the car on the way to work, I squish it together like a sandwich. If I am sitting down and eating it like a real adult, I eat one side at a time.

RRCS: I've finally been feeling better and thus sleeping well enough to temp the last couple nights so that's good. Luckily I O late anyways so I still have a week or so to go.

ajetter, I get really bad O pain, especially since I had DD. It varies which side too. But I've never had any signs or been diagnosed with PCOS and they checked. It's bad enough to make me catch my breath sometimes.

westiemom, my 2nd PP cycle was craaazy and I wasn't even BFing anymore. It was 55 days long and according to FF I had a 4 day LP. It also ended with me standing up in the morning and blood gushing down my legs so good times. (Hopefully you'll avoid that last part.) But things started to even out after that.

Thank you! It's good to hear it evened back out. I hope that's the case for me too (and I avoid the blood gushing 😳).

RRCS: I'm super in my head this cycle. Symptom spotting, whining to myself about why it's taking this long. Blah.

hullabalou , what at these "sides" you speak of? Bagels have a top and a bottom and I need to know which one you eat first!

charliefox because we only recently had a place open up that has really great bagels, so previously I only ate the ones in the refrigerated section of the grocery store. The tops on those are thin and get more crunchy. The bottoms are softer. Now the nice place has tops that are great but since I'm on a diet, I've only had them once. My default answer therefore is bottoms.

ajetter I have painful sex sometimes which in my case is linked to fibroids (didn't even know I had them until my first ultrasound with DD). Could be fibroids or cysts causing the pain?

westiemom I'm still breastfeeding and my cycles are certainly shorter than they used to be (more specifically my LP is shorter). They have started getting longer again recently but breastfeeding still throws them out of whack all the time.

I have never been told I have fibroids, but who knows? It just very much seems to revolve around ovulation. Cysts would probably be most likely, and make the most sense with the whole polycystic ovary thing. Whatever the case this shit hurts. 😜

I had hoped to bf longer but the wonky cycles are making me so nervous since we struggled with IF to conceive DD. Damn hormones!

RRCS:SO was so disappointed when I told him we're on to the next cycle. He asked how I was and I told him I was fine...we have DD and if it doesn't work out for us again I'll be ok with that. I didn't want to make him feel worse by worrying about me being sad. Then he suggested that maybe I just don't want it enough and that is somehow affecting my body and not allowing me to get pregnant. If we weren't at gymnastics with DD I might have punched him.

I'm celiac and gluten free bagels are gross. But I would eat it in halves...which ever half had more cream cheese on it would be saved for last.

ajetter It sucks that you have to deal with that! I've never had O pain but I can't imagine having to deal with pain on top of all the other craziness that comes with TTC and life in general!

westiemom Once your cycle starts again BFing shouldn't have any adverse effect on your fertility. If you're using OPKs then you should be good. It can make your cycles a little irregular in terms of when you O (hence using the OPKs) but shouldn't affect anything else. So don't feel you need to hurry to stop BFing because of TTC. It will all even out.
