*BFP warning* I I was thinking I got a squinter on a wondfo yesterday, but thought I was just getting line-y eyes 👀
Today it is more than a squinter. Even my husband who is super skeptical of any lines I see said there's a line! Thank you ladies for your support! It's so early so I'm hesitant to celebrate yet! 😊🤞
babydsmama, I know you have talked a little about it but how is the timing with everything? Will D be there?
So he will be deployed leaving in November, but they should let him home for paternity leave which would be great bc based on my O date EDD would be 12/11 so that would probably put him at home for Christmas! I just hope he doesn't miss the birth, but I'm also super hesitant to get my hopes up yet!

OMG that would be incredible! I am keeping FX that it works out that way. What a perfect Christmas man. EEEP!

babydsmama Congrats! December babies are awesome, despite the bad rap for the birthday!
Age of LO(s): 4, 2, 15 months
Month/Cycle: 9/9
CD/DPO: 28/6 supposedly.
RRCS: I had a crazy cycle this month with lots of positive and almost positive OPKs so I'm not really sure where I am at in my cycle but I am 90% sure somewhere in the TWW. I'm symptom spotting like a fool but somehow at the same time have very low expectations because who knows how our timing turned out.
GTKY: This was a very important question on my BMB; how do you eat a bagel? Do you eat the top first, bottom first, or squish both halves together and eat it like a sandwich? I am apparently breezy about bagel eating. I will eat a bagel any which way. If toasted? I'll eat bottom then top. If not toasted I will sometimes make a sandwich, but usually I will rip in half and then sit with the cream cheese and a knife and put a bit of cream cheese on and take one bite, rinse and repeat.
RRCS: TWW I'm trying to hold out until Sunday to POAS
GTKY: This was a very important question on my BMB; how do you eat a bagel? Do you eat the top first, bottom first, or squish both halves together and eat it like a sandwich? I always eat the bottom first, then the top. The top is the best part (I usually only eat everything bagels) and I like to save it for last!

westiemom Once your cycle starts again BFing shouldn't have any adverse effect on your fertility. If you're using OPKs then you should be good. It can make your cycles a little irregular in terms of when you O (hence using the OPKs) but shouldn't affect anything else. So don't feel you need to hurry to stop BFing because of TTC. It will all even out.
Unfortunately for those TTC, BFing can indeed mess with your cycle and, therefore, your ability to get pregnant. It can change your CM, affect your LP, give you long/short cycles and cause anovulatory cycles. Even after weaning you can have irregular cycles for a while before your hormones regulate and your body figures itself out. This isn't the case for everyone, some women get pregnant while BFing or shortly after. Everything connected with BFing and TTC is so personal and emotional, GL westiemom!

Age of LO: 4 years
Month/cycle: 3/3
CD- 14/anytime now
RRCS: Gah, idk. I'm really hoping this is our month.
GTKY: I don't really like bready stuff so bagels are out for me. But if that was all I had around to survive I would probably just smush it down and eat it, the whole circle way. Or if I could cook I would bake it into chips.
Month/Cycle: 7/8 I messed this up the last few times.
CD/DPO: 17/2
RRCS: I just starting temping this cycle and it's very confusing. I have good feels about this cycle but trying not to get my hopes up. I also had a gf announce she was pregnant and had some unexpected feels. I was just jealous she got pregnant in 2 seconds. Ugh. I just wanna be pregnant too! 😔
GTKY: This was a very important question on my BMB; how do you eat a bagel? Do you eat the top first, bottom first, or squish both halves together and eat it like a sandwich. I eat the top then the bottom or vice versa depends on my mood.

Hi, I am losing track, but I think I am month, and i have no idea what day I am because I am taking BCP in preparation for an April IVF after our failed IUI last month. I'm excited and nervous! I start meds mid month. Just trying to enjoy my spring break with my DD and chill.

westiemom Sorry yes. I should have been clearer. Once your cycle returns and settles into a more or less normal pattern then your fertility shouldn’t be affected by BFing anymore. Most negative affects of BFing on TTC happen within the first 6 months PP (like anovulatory cycles and trouble with implantation). That being said a small minority of women will still be affected as long as they continue to BF. You should always do what you are most comfortable with. I asked these same questions when we started TTC because I was worried about BFing affecting TTC (especially since I'm also AMA) so I did a lot of reading and talked to my doctor. In the end I just did what felt right for me. Whether you decide to wean or not the choice is personal...and especially since you struggled with IF before you have to follow your gut.
