I am getting ready to head in for my 6 week appointment. It's hard to believe that over 6 weeks have passed. They'll be taking the hopefully final blood work for the ICP. I haven't had any symptoms since giving birth, so I'm hopeful everything will come back normal.
mosdub, jnow, kaits8 thinking about you three and hoping for deliveries soon!
I didn't realize how miserable I was pregnant. My body feels a lot better except for my perineum and I'm overdoing things. I took the twins to drop-in gymnastics today, it was a lot of fun but now I hurt.
I love my MIL who is staying with us and helping but it's getting to be too much. I'm ready to be just us now.
Our already difficult pre-schooler is acting out so much since baby came home. We are at our wits end. I know she just needs attention and love but sometimes I just want to lock her in her room. I can only handle so much yelling and it throwing.
amacbaby I remember after dd1 being amazed by how easy it is to get around and adult in general when you're not hugely pregnant. I can't wait for that feeling again!
amacbaby sorry your older kiddo is having a rough time adjusting! I'm sure it will get better in time.
I'm so ready to be able to just run, hop and jump around without worrying about falling. I'm also ready to be able to eat stuff without having to first think if I'm supposed to... and of course have myself an alcoholic bev.
mosdub H and I are debating where to eat dinner tonight (dd1 is at my parents for the night because of a snow storm, so if I do happen to go into labor it's one last thing to worry about) and I'm basing our decision partially on how much I like the drinks. If they have amazing drinks I'm saving it for after baby so I can drink whatever I want!

I thought we went through the 2-3 week growth spurt a few days ago. I was not right. She's eaten every hour today except for when I took her to lunch with friends where a 3 hour break was awarded to me.
amacbaby I felt so crappy when I was pregnant, that I feel like even with a newborn I feel so much better, including having more energy. I forgot what it felt like to feel normal!
Just noticed my dog's left lip/jowl is swollen and itchy! Can't figure out what it could be from, we checked his mouth and no signs of scratch...maybe an angry insect bit him outside? Guess we will just wait and see, he otherwise seems fine.

Oh no! I hope it was just insect bite and it clears up on its own.
Last time I assumed it was because I didn't tear. But, this time I had an episiotimy(a very small, very well done one at that) and my hemmroids were worse.

Are our dogs just trying to stress us out? While we were getting ready to go to dinner, our Labradoodle tried to jump onto our bed after being out in the snow (so he was wet, jumping off of hardwood floors), slipped and slammed a rear leg into the bed frame. He came down crying, shaking, and not putting weight on his right hind. All while we had a snow storm rolling in, so vets will likely be closed tomorrow. Fortunately he walked it off shortly after, but geez dog.
renegadewhit, lucky! It was 50+ and sunny here yesterday, and now we have 6-10" of heavy snow coming down between now and lunchtime tomorrow.

Dammit! I know, these things ALWAYS happen when it's after hours/weekend. Ugh! He once jumped off our bed and immediately was shaking, whining and wouldn't stand. Turned out he messed up his back jumping down. Anti-inflammatory meds and pain meds made it all better, but since it was on the weekend it was also like over $200.
Public health nurse came to visit today and said I don't need to worry about supplementing if I don't want to- yay! My milk is coming in now anyway so hopefully we can get settled into all of this.
My vagina is always hyper sensitive to things. Pap smears are even a struggle. I can't imagine a non sore vagina after birth!! Totally jealous @priss08 lol

I'm just so happy that the SPD pain is gone. The pain from the incision is different, but more manageable with meds. And omg, I love sleeping on my back!

I don't even feel pap smears.
I cry during Pap smears, and my cervical checks (all 2) were the most awful things I can imagine.
Childbirth was so easy for me. I was running the halls about 10 minutes later and the nurses told me I had stay in bed 1.5 hrs longer.

Saw the LC yesterday DS has a small tongue tie which is affecting his latch and my milk supply. They did a weighted feeding and he only got a little over an ounce total for nursing about 35 mins or so. So they encouraged me to try herbal supplements and still continue to supplement. Man this whole breastfeeding thing hasn't been easy! They want me to pump after each feed as well. I feel super guilty bc my DD has been missing me like crazy and I feel like all I can do is nurse him right now. . Mom guilt is REAL.
