Mine turns in a circle and can scoot backwards so far.  I'm not ready for it!

Same here for the moving in a circle and sort of rolling around to get somewhere else. Need to watch out for all DS1's little toys on the floor now.

Ditto. I laid her down in the floor next to her playmat the other night, walked into another room, came back and she was like 4 feet away! She just scoots laying down. It's weird. But she definitely won't stay in one place.

When G is laying on the changing pad, he'll dig his heels into the pad and push himself backwards. The other night, we turned our head for a few seconds, and his head was almost hanging off of the pad. He doesn't do it on the floor though. He is always moving, even if he's sitting or being held.

I have to run to Target to get bigger bottles, since today it became clear that 4 ounces is not enough for G when I'm not there. I'm going to pick up some baby food too since we haven't been able to make the veggies I bought the other day. I discovered that the Chinese restaurant we order from has online ordering, so I already have an order placed to pick up when I get back into town.

I just got home from my interview for the paper about 20 minutes ago. It went well, but now I have to make sense of all my notes that are all over the place.

My therapy appointment this morning with the new therapist went really well. I'm very happy with her and have an appointment for next Friday.

All the sudden he is rolling a ton. He prefers rolling to his right so he will just keep going until he bumps into something. He's pushing up, but can't really coordinate to crawl yet. When he's on his back he will scoot himself by planting his heels on the ground and pushing back.

Hey ladies. I'm here! Today has been very busy and I'm finally sitting down and relaxing. DH and I are drinking some Cab (19 Crimes - pretty good for a $10 bottle). DS had his 6 month well visit this morning and then I went to work for the 2nd half of the day and was crazy busy. I picked DS up after work and when I got home, DH was hunting a mouse that was in the living room. I had to bring DD1 to a sleepover and when I got back and started making dinner, the mouse was in the kitchen, hiding under the stove. After we finished eating, DD2 saw the mouse run under the fridge. So, DH and I trapped the thing under the fridge and it kept poking it's face out and at one point DH almost got it, but it escaped. Then we had it trapped on the other side of the kitchen, but couldn't figure out how to actually catch it. It ended up running into the breezeway. DH blocked the door to the kitchen and we stalked the shit out of that mouse. It kept hiding in the baseboard heater and we were trying to chase it out the door. I brought the vacuum in and we ended up turning the room upside down. After like 45 minutes, we managed to corner the thing and I turned the vacuum on and sucked it up. We have a Shark canister vacuum, so I sucked up a chunk of mouse bait (which I was going to return to Home Depot because I bought the wrong thing and don't want poison around), wrapped the canister in a garbage bag and put it out on the front porch. Of course DD2 then breaks a glass and we had no vacuum to clean it up with, so we did our best with the dust pan until we can reclaim the vacuum canister (in 100 years - lol).

This is why we're drinking. The 19 Crimes is in honor of how many crimes that mouse committed just by being in our house.

Who am I kidding? We'd be drinking anyway. Cheers, ladies.

Lol. That's an awesome story jwinct and I'd be drinking too. Poor vacuum. What are the chances you'd need it moments after capturing the mouse in it??!

It's funny how different kids are. By 3 months old, my girls were rolling onto their bellies and slept on their bellies because they preferred it. DS is more than 6 months old and still hates being on his belly. He constantly rolls onto it now, but then he gets pissed. He clearly wants to crawl and it just pisses him off. He can easily roll back, but when he's pissed off, he seems to forget that he knows how to.

That was DS1. HATED being on his tummy. Never army crawled or did a lot of rolling. Just went directly from sitting to fast regular crawling--anything to avoid a moment of tummy time.
