Apparently I didn't get out of the house enough this weekend, because I can tell I am a bit down. Must get out of the house tomorrow. I already have a Target list going.
Newborns are hard (constant things to worry about), yet so easy all at the same time (all they do is poop/pee, eat and sleep). I sent H home for the night because he has 1 single commitment he can't get out of for work the entire month, and its tomorrow morning so he needs 1 final night of decent sleep. Then we have 4 full weeks off together as a family of 4 so I'm thrilled.
So far this baby is 100 times better at nursing than dd1 was early on so I'm hopeful our nursing journey will get smoother much quicker than my first time around. She has pooped 3 times in her 14 hours of outside life! And my hormones haven't crashed (so far) nearly as hard as they did with dd1, so here's hoping my meltdowns aren't quite as often, although I'm sure they will happen. I'm hoping they'll ok us to go home tomorrow instead of Tuesday..I just want to start adjusting to our new normal. Her first weight check is in a couple hours so I'm anxious to see how much she has lost. Eat baby, eat!
kaits8 What a sweet update Glad you're all doing so well!
Thank you 95% of the reason I get on here as often as possible right now is to see if either of you have gone into labor. Don't the babies know they're all supposed to arrive together? Fx it happens so soon for you two!

I'm hoping he comes soon too, along with jnow! My mom thinks I'm going to go all the way to 42 weeks (she went 2-3 weeks past her EDD when she was pregnant with me and my brother). I hope she's not right - I really don't want to end up with an induction if I can just go into labor naturally!
I'm glad we're all pretty much over this cold we've been battling for a month, because my 20-month old broke her arm this morning. Oy! I don't even know how I'm going to take care of her and a newborn.
Oh no! So sorry to hear! Glad no surgery and she doesn't seem to be in pain.
