Poor thing, kristhegirl. I'm such a firm believer in the mom gut. I'm glad that the process doesn't need surgery, and I hope she enjoys the attention she'll receive while she looks adorable in her cast. Silver lining: you've got a great reason to tell her why she can't jump on the couch when she's older!
It's still gorgeous weather right now, and our chance of rain is down to 30%. It's like a cruel joke; all outdoor events were cancelled in prep of this huge storm (which is pretty rare for Houston since we're used to bad storms) and now it's the best weather we'll probably have until November, lol

Dd1 told me today that she and ds were eating grass out in the yard today. What in the world! I thought at almost 5 and 6 we would beyond eating random things outside.
lawandorder, hope he's alright! Neck stuff is scary.
Kara has peed 4x on the potty today. Once, she actually asked to have her diaper taken off. Two of them were "finishers" (where she started elsewhere, lol). What sorcery is this?! The boys were 2.5 before they even showed ANY interest. I am not interested in going the full on potty training route, but I guess there is definitely some truth to girls learning earlier than boys.

lawandorder oomph... I guess your son didn't want to be outdone by kristhegirl's E? But really, I'm so sorry that you're in the ER, and I hope your son is ok!
kristhegirl poor, sweet E! Glad you went with the mama instincts. lawandorder good luck and hopefully it's just an abundance of caution and nothing more serious. I have my girls at my parents for the weekend and DH is home in Boston for opening day. DD1 tripped and fell face first into my parent's bookshelf, so we had our own ER trip last night. Thankfully she didn't break her nose or knock her teeth lose that we can tell, but her nose and upper lip are crazy swollen.
AFM I worked all weekend. P has an ear infection and has been miserable. I fell asleep driving home last night and hit a curb. I was having trouble seeing I was so tired. I think my car is ok. I was not going too fast. I'm a mess.
