We're up and going to a 5k! It'll be my first one without the stroller. We'll see how it goes. It's gonna be in the mid 60s, but it's humid. Whatever. It's exercise.
I'd really love to do the backsplash, but I have to convince DH. Tonight we are having dinner with my mom for her SO's birthday.
We're headed out in a few minutes to B's first soccer game (although 'game' may be too strong of a word!) He's been dressed for over an hour and is ridiculously excited.
My parents and sister/BIL (who are visiting this wknd) will all be there--this cheering section is prooooobably a bit much for 3 y.o. soccer but oh well, lol.
danib my personal favorite is a facial; it is even more relaxing to me than a massage. I've never tried any wraps but if your H wants to treat you, why not?!
LizInFL It is so cute how excited he is!! Hope he has a fun time!
tgrimes1980 Here's to hoping the awesome sleep continues and YOU can get some sleep next time.
danib That sucks that he's so delayed but yay spa day!! I've never done a seaweed wrap but it might be fun!
waitwhat Have fun! I actually don't mind showers as long as there's not too many stupid games. To me it's a couple hours to hang out with friends and eat.
We are having a low key day today. H is going to get a haircut soon and will be running to Costco while I hopefully get some 5 Month pictures of C after his nap. This sounds silly but I already feel like C and I are out of sync. He would not settle down while I was trying to give him his bottle yesterday and just now H had to take him from me to get him to nap. I'm probably being overly sensitive but I really just wanted to snuggle with my baby and he didn't seem interested.
Morning! H is working so it's just me and the kids. Already ran to Sherwin Williams for new paint and stopped for coffee and a smoothie for DS at a little coffee shop. The place is really cute and everything is scratch made. They have chickens and roosters roaming the property so DS tried catching them all while screaming, 'do do' which I can only assume is cock-a-doodle-do! Hoping to take a long walk before lunch then paint the vanity in our master during naps.
Oh and MIL texted asking if she could visit sometime this weekend. She does this every freaking weekend, then proceeds to explain why she can only visit when it fits her schedule which always coincides with DS's nap. Then complains why he sleeps so long and usually will fall asleep herself on our couch. Ugh, why bother coming then?
The soccer 'game' was--in a word--hilarious. Such cheap entertainment, or maybe my family and I are just easily amused. Either way, we laughed almost the entire time. God bless these volunteer coaches and refs; we should probably start bringing them mimosas or something.
lol I read the title like it was a site wide randoms! I was about to walk away... lol! LizInFL, there's no such thing as a too big a cheering section, that's my professional swim coach opinion! danib, I've done a mud bath which I found surprisingly relaxing! Lol +1 to the facial
I realized last night that SIL2's baby shower will most likely be during our crazy busy end of August and all of September! I'm not a shower kind of girl, but I love planning them for other people! waitwhat, I've never been to a bridal shower without a bit of alcohol 😉
We're snowed in or I'm just too lazy to fight snowy roads to go anywhere so I'm going to watch Fantastic Beasts and where to find them!
LizInFL little soccer is the cutest thing ever! I'm glad B is excited and that your family enjoyed watching him play!
danib, I'm sorry your H is delayed again. But yay for a spa day!
tgrimes1980, it's the worst when the kids actually sleep well for a change but you don't. I hate that.
waitwhat, have fun at the shower! I hope the mimosas are flowing!
goldenlove3, I'm sorry H wouldn't settle for you. I felt like DS2 was mad at me for a few days when I went back to work too. He snapped out of it (or it was all in my head and I'm the one who snapped out of it). I hope you get baby snuggles soon!
tjanca22, the place where he used to get DS1's haircut had chickens and rooster roaming around and he loved chasing them too. So cute! Also, my mom pulls that crap too. It's beyond annoying.
cheshie6, I want to see that movie too! I hope you have a relaxing snow day!

MH got up with the boys this morning and let me sleep in. I woke up at 10:45! Then he made me pancakes, eggs and toast for breakfast! I'm pretty sure he's hoping to get laid tonight.
We've got nothing planned for today. Tomorrow is my niece's birthday party. It's a bounce house place 45 minutes away from 6-8pm. Who schedules a 6 year olds birthday party that late on a Sunday night?! We'll go, but I'll have to leave at 7 to get the kids and myself to bed at a normal hour.

cheshie6 please let me know how the movie is. I've been wanting to watch it!
So many hugs goldenlove3 I think it's just this age too. Mia has started getting really difficult at some feedings and I've had to tag H in on some sleep times to get her to settle. And she used to hate H with the fire of a thousand suns.
It was alright sophiegrace. Not as great as I was hoping. Lots of uphill and it was almost .2 miles over a true 5k. My first 2 miles I felt ok. Mile 3...not so good. But, I finished in a decent time and my first mile was the fastest I've had in a race situation.

That's so fantastic! I'm so happy for you. It's only going to get easier and easier from here. I'm not sure I'll ever get to say that I ran 3+ miles so it's really inspiring to hear others do it.

waitwhat we left the hotel for dinner last night and wandered around the downtown area around lunchtime. It took us longer to find a parking spot than it did to walk around. H found the cutest bathing suits for M at some fanceh boutique. I can't wait to see her in them.
Oh I also had to laugh because when I got home my H was like "I have no clue how you do this all day. I'm so tired I could take a nap right now". Hahaha. Dude you had the kids for 4 hours and the toddler slept for 2 of those. Relax.
That's hilarious, but also kind of nice that he recognizes how draining it can be. Hope he doesn't forget anytime soon!

Speaking of blowouts...
We had lunch in the hotel restaurant yesterday. M was being all sassy sitting in the high chair eating her peas when she all of a sudden stopped and started concentrating and squirming. Then I heard it. The sound I've come to dread hearing. By the time I got her up to the room less than three minutes later there was poop in her socks.
danib whatever you choose to get done at the spa, I hope it is so wonderful and you enjoy it. It's very much deserved!
Would probably pay admission to watch toddler soccer LizInFL! Did B love it?!
Yes, he did! He scored 2 goals, and was very happy about that.
He also did a fair amount of grabbing at the nylon uniform shorts...basically looked like he had to pee and was holding himself half the game! LOL. Apparently in my quest to keep my kids out of athletic wear on a daily basis, I've only put B in khaki/chino shorts, so he thought the material felt funny. It takes a lot to get my dad to laugh out loud, and he was just cracking up. Rehearsal dinner video material, right there.
waitwhat we need to work on crib naps, too. She does beautifully in there at night but is not a fan during the day. Also, lol at your H.
jubilantsquirrel dyyying at 'maybe I'll even shave my legs'. It's been shorts weather here this week and I realized I hadn't done above the knee in...awhile. (Also realized I need to dig out my self-tanner STAT).
sophiegrace mmm, bacon. Sounds like y'all are having a great time, minus the lunch blowout! We will need to see pics of Miss M modeling her new suits in all her chubbiness 😍
ClassyMrsA Great job on the 5k !! I haven't even gone out once for a run and I'm just dying to.. But I'm a warm weather runner, cannot run in anything below 50* bc extra layers make me feel heavy and cold ears/nose/hands suck. I think you had said you don't necessarily do it for fun but still I hope you enjoyed it!!
LizInFL Is toddler soccer any less painful than toddler t-ball ? They finally instituted time rules here (now that my nephew plats) but when my brothers were young and played those games would last for 318 hours. Is it frowned upon to bring mimosas for yourself at these things ;-)
sophiegrace I hope that restaurant was empty lol. AV is a very loud, gassy baby and is very obvious about her BM with the grunting and red face etc - my poor little lady puts her brother to shame. Still I might have to tease her about it later on in life lol.
danib I'm sorry H isn't coming in until Monday - I really am not a big spa person except for massages but I hope you enjoy!!
jubilantsquirrel Girl you shaving?!.... Shitttttt, H musta really impressed. H insisted on giving me a massage for my back earlier. This is code for "will you repay the favor?". But then the babies started crying...
