My ILs are visiting 😒 I'm out "running errands" to pretend they don't exist. I'm wondering how long I can do this before my husband starts asking if I'll ever be home again 😂
I'm thinking I'll go to TRU to see what else I don't need after going to target...
Despite not being prepared for my baby, I'm excited to start seeing some babies trickling in by the end of the month!!
We're going out to sushi for my friend's birthday tonight and my mom is watching DS since this place isn't really child friendly and my dining with my friend's husband takes fooooooorever and DS just doesn't have the patience to sit for 2+ hours. I am excited to eat in peace though!
Today is our shower! I'm really excited and hope it goes well. DH will be there so at least ALL the attention won't be just on me lol
We made some progress in the nursery last night, all the furniture is painted and moved in so I'm feeling a lot more prepared even though we still have plenty to do lol
Good morning! Gross weather here today so I should probably use it as an excuse to get some things organized for this baby. I'm so much further behind than I was with DS. Second child problems I suppose haha! In good news, baby was head down at my 34w appointment yesterday! She's still making big movements, though, so they will check again at 36w to make sure she hasn't flipped breech again. If she has, we'll schedule a version for ~37 weeks. Fingers crossed she settles in head down!

lastkiss murder mystery parties are so much fun! Have fun!
Pretty boring weekend planned. Running errands today and then tomorrow I'll be helping MH grade tests. We've been having beautiful weather this week, so I've been enjoying leaving the windows open all day. Allergies are acting up, but it's worth it.
My post is going to sound super whiney so sorry! I have been getting horrible heartburn at times, and last night was rough, and now I have that metalic tums taste in my mouth. My husband is working, and the kids really want to go to the pool. I feel like crap, but I might just take them. We have the entire empty day ahead of us, and if I suck it up for a few hours, I am sure I won't regret it . ... but man I feel like crap and hate the pool!! Thanks for letting me vent
It's moving weekend and I'm already exhausted. We got the amazing single family home with the huge yard we wanted, so that's exciting! I'm glad to be done with townhouse living, even if we are still renting. But my husband is the most annoying person in the world when he gets on a mission. He just gets uber-focused and can't chill out until the ENTIRE project is done. He'll be up literally all night unpacking cuz he wants to get it done in one day even though we have till 4/9 to vacate our old place. He's already driving me nuts! Luckily my ILs are here to help make fun of him and turn it into smthng humorous. MIL is on a cleaning frenzy, which is so helpful since I can't be down on my hands and knees scrubbing. FIL is currently watching DD and simultaneously mulching her new swingset area. I'm so thankful they are here! I fell down the stairs at the townhouse on Wed, so I'm still sore and feel pretty useless. It's nice having ppl here to help out!
Congrats on the house mcp6286! And omg falling down the stairs is one of my biggest pregnancy fears. Glad you're ok.
Today was an errand day while H worked some overtime. C was so well behaved all day, I was so proud of her. She fell asleep on our way home at nap time which is great because I just carry her inside and lay her in her bed. Can you believe that as I was carrying her in to the house from the car, my neighbor beeped his horn at us?! Like...who beeps at someone carrying a sleeping child?! Obviously it woke C up and that was the end of her nap today. What an asshole.
sagen what have you tried for heartburn? I took Zantac with DS1 but found I need Prevacid this time around (both are class B)
+1 to Prevacid. I had horrible heartburn with DS1 and took Tums all the time and they didn't help that much. I'm using Prevacid and it works so much better this time.
mcp6286, that's awesome news that you guys found a house! We are still on the hunt although we did take this weekend off since there was nothing new that we wanted to look at.
Today was a pretty good day. Took DD to the Easter event at her daycare where she got to hunt for eggs and take a picture with the Easter bunny, which she actually smiled for. Quite a change from the very sad picture we got with Santa three months ago. This evening my mom came over to watch her and DH and I tried a new hibachi place that was really yummy. I'm now sitting here trying to digest while he puts DD to bed

+how ever many to the heartburn. It kicked my butt today but fortunately zantac works pretty well and today even milk did the trick.
We had a crazy busy day and I did wayyyy too much so now I'm hurting. Our doula came over for the first prenatal visit and for a massage too. The massage was awesome but I'm still hurting. The rain/snow here was more than we expected so our basement has been full of water and DW has been wetvac-ing every hour or so. (I helped earlier adding to my pain.) There are also 2 sump pumps going but the water comes from somewhere and just spreads all over the floor. 😝 We think the only real solution is a french drain but who knows when we'll have the money for that. Especially since we have to do a new roof and gutters in the next few weeks. Ugh.
Tomorrow we're seeing Beauty and the Beast!! I'm also hoping to find new shoes that might allow me to be on my feet a little longer... Right now none are comfy.

I will have to give preavacid a try. Seriously anytime I eat tums, tge entire next daymy mouth just taste horrible :/
I get a weird taste in my mouth after I eat tums too! I actually threw a bottle away because I thought they were bad but it happened with a new bottle too. I usually only take them right before bed and the taste typically goes away by morning, but some days it lingers for a while.
rosesquared, we had that problem for a long time too. We ended up with a brand new sump pump, H rerouted some pipe, and we sealed the walls up with putty and special paint. It wasn't very expensive since H did it himself, and we haven't had a drop of water since.

We are out of town this weekend. We took DS to the beach Friday, then a German festival on Saturday and a wedding that night. Now we are just hanging out at my bros house. We are planning on hitting the beach again tomorrow since DS absolutely loved it and then driving back home after that. H is taking Tuesday off too. I am loving this mini vacation. We ordered some baby stuff so I'm excited to be getting stuff in in the next week.
We had a busy weekend including a sick LO last night which landed me sleeping with her....this belly doesn't fit so well in a twin with a sad toddler that wants to be touching all night.....Luckily we got her in early for a sick visit...ear infection....She was off all day and finally perked up this evening.
I did make it to yoga finally...a new small studio....awesome class...now I just want to order some yoga props and lay on my floor all day...learned so many comfy poses today
...I really could use another day home to recover from all the running around!!
Hi all - sorry I have been MIA lately, which I feel bad about because I feel like I'm one of the lesser active May '17'ers as is! My brother unfortunately passed away on March 26th, so I've spent the last week planning his funeral (he was unmarried/no children so completing his final wishes was up to myself and my mom - I have an older sister but she was unfortunately out of the country so we did everything ourselves). His services were Saturday and I'm back at work today after being off for a week and trying to find my new "normal". I am most worried about my mom. My dad died 4 years ago and now she is dealing with this. My brother and dad were both very sick when they passed, so this has just been overwhelming for everyone - and being a mom myself, I just can't fathom what my mom is dealing with internally. *sigh*
Anyway, I can't believe we can all officially say we are due next month. Where has the time gone???
