Em ended up in my bed at 1am right as I was falling asleep. Then she tossed and turned (I woke up with her foot on my face at one point.) until like 5am when she was trying to freaking play peek a boo. DH took her back to her crib and thankfully she went back to sleep until he came home from surfing at 9:30.
littlelion I agree! How is it April already?? Sorry for the crap night of sleep. That's how I felt last week. Are you still having to do Leo's eyedrops every 4 hours too? Hope you can get some sleep tonight and feel better! ourcrazynavylife hope you can sneak in a nap or something today. You all ready for your presentation?
Dh is back home and we are all happier for it! Lo and I ran some errands this morning and I let him pick a couple new Legos for being such a trooper last week. He's been loving his Legos lately and actually building things and telling us what they are instead of just stacking everything.
I'm sitting here with lo while he finishes lunch and he just made a "taco" with a piece of cheese, some peanut butter and a grape. And he's eating it. Toddlers are weird, man.
ashlantic, FFFC I stopped putting drops in his eyes after day 2. Neither eyes was pink so I didn't think it was worth the wrestling match. LOL on his taco...he likes what he likes. I let Leo eat dry pasta out of the box when he insisted. He spit it out pretty quick.
ourcrazynavylife, I spend half my night adjusting Leo in the bed. And this morning after DH left, I rolled over and tried to get back to sleep and Leo kept poking my back because he likes me to face him. Sigh. And yet, all night I kept thinking I'd sleep better if I could cosleep with Alex. Double-edge sword, man.

ourcrazynavylife Cute dress and GL on your presentation! littlelion Hopefully last night was better in the sleep department for you. My allergies are going crazy right now. ashlantic LOL at the taco. LO dips everything in ranch right now when we go out to eat. Last week it was strawberries and ranch. Yuck.

AFM life has been a whirlwind of activity lately. I had such an awesome time with my mom this weekend - it was some much needed time away. Got the news that my pap was irregular so I had a colposcopy and a biopsy last week and the results came back that I have to have a LEEP. Anyone ever had one of those? They'll put me under for it, but it's like 10 days before our cruise so I'm hoping I won't be rocking a huge maxi pad for long. In other news, I have a phone call scheduled for tomorrow with the firm I interviewed with back in Feb! The firm actually split up and I emailed them yesterday as just a hey, I saw your firm restructured, please keep me in mind blah blah blah... and then they were like We've been meaning to contact you, can we schedule a phone call? Cautiously optimistic but also secretly cleaning out my desk!
laceysbryan, agghh! how exciting about the interview! GL! My cousin had the LEEP if my memory serves me right. I think her mom accompanied her to drive her home after. She has to go in regularly for check ups. But that's about all I know. Hope yours is smooth sailing
I'm paying close attention to Leo talking and I can hear the words he's trying to say. Some are harder to say in Spanish than they would be in English. Like "cookie" instead of "galleta". I'm torn between keeping Spanish up or just focusing on the English. I know I've already started to default to English when I correct his behavior since I think of it as "how would his teacher redirect him".
No real question. I just wanted to think out loud. But if anyone has suggestions, advice, let me know.
ETA: Everyone in our family can understand English. The older generation though would still talk in Spanish to him and it'd make me happy to have Leo be able to stay bilingual. Esp since Dh's family in Mexico won't know English (we plan to visit next year).
laceysbryan good luck with the interview!! Sending good vibes for that and your LEEP. littlelion I can see your response too and I'm on tapatalk. Weird! I agree with ourcrazynavylife to keep up with both languages. My friend that studied linguistics says this is the prime age to learn multiple languages. I think it's awesome that he'll grow up bilingual. ourcrazynavylife glad your presentation went well! I can't remember, do you have anything else for your class or can you rest easy until the baby arrives? (As easy as you can rest with a 2 year old. ) grumpycat88 hi!
Babysat E today for a few hours. Lo was happy to see his buddy today. She started school so I only watch her 1 day a week every other week. I took them both to storytime at the library and it went really well.
Now I'm relaxing on the couch feeding my angry ute all the chocolate it wants. AF is a beast this month.

I GOT AN OFFER!!! Less than what I'm making now but not offensively low. I told them I'd talk with MH and get back to them at the end of the week. I'm going to make a counter offer on the salary which makes me super uncomfortable but I'm hoping they can come up just a little.
