adouces06 I hope it's not croup. Good luck. Somehow, that's one childhood illness we've avoided with both kids. Which is surprising because asthma.
Speaking of Easter, I think we're getting DS1 a big boy bike. I've been looking at 12 and 14 inch bikes on Amazon and not sure which to get. Some of the reviews say that the 12 inch wouldn't last a 3 yo old very long and others that the 14 inch may be too big. Thoughts? For reference, DS1 is 3.5 (today actually 😩) and is usually 60-70th percentile for height. I'd guess he's probably 37" tall and 32lbs.
Our almost 3.5 year old rode her bike today, she's finally getting the hang of it. I think it's a 12 but we got it second hand so not 100% sure. It looks to me like it will fit her for a while (she's always in the 70th area for height).
Decent day today. It started out with this episode getting out of the shower where I got all clammy and thought I was going to get sick. It passed in about 5 minutes. I called the doctor and that's apparently a normal side effect of the Zoloft. I felt pretty calm the rest of the day though.
State testing here so I spent all morning watching kids take a test.
What is going on with our kiddos @kitchen and becole ? Ugh. What about you, jcrewgirl ?
I will try HomeGoods for bedding. I've been searching all over the internet and pinterest and even Etsy but I really don't want to use Etsy b/c it's a lot more expensive.
Bed time with Em should be a reality show. Luckily, both kids start bedtime at the same time and DH has toddler duty since he doesn't have boobs. #winning.
We were lucky. We switched Em to her toddler Bed when she turned 2 and from May - January, she never, not once, got out of her bed. F@cking unicorn child. In January we started potty training and I told her (insert heavy sigh - why the F did I tell her this) that if she had to go potty she had to get out of bed and run to the potty. Well, now she gets out of bed between 2-5x a night for various reasons - she needs a band-aid, she's thirsty, I didn't kiss her good night, Ursula is in her room, wants to know what we're doing tomorrow, etc. She started turning on her lamp so we took it out of her room (also another reason why I couldn't put DS in the same room as her yet). We got this toddler alarm clock and she is getting better at staying in bed in the mornings until it is green. It's helped some.

jcrewgirl DS2 has been in a toddler bed since last July, and he never used to have issues. We had to start putting the gate on his door just in the last couple months b/c he keeps getting up. DS1 was never like this and loves his sleep so this is all new. DS2 is potty training as well but we haven't even bothered to attempt any night training, especially since he isn't STTN anyway. He has woken us up a couple times to tell us he's wet (like peed through the diaper wet) but other times it's stupid little reasons.
ksyknelvr73, yes, we have a gate at the top of the stairs and shut it at night. I should clarify that when she's getting out of bed, it's before she falls asleep. Once she's asleep, she doesn't get up until she's awake. I bought the alarm clock to have her stay in her room until 6:30 AM on the weekdays and 7:00 AM on the weekends. She kept waking up and getting out of bed and I wouldn't have time to get ready in the AM for work.
My toddler wakes up motn from dreams/ nightmares and quickly goes back to sleep but it's not really anything we can do to fix it. I put him to bed 45 min later last night and he stayed out and went to sleep without help so I'm guessing he was not tired yet.
