It's pouring rain here too. N made sure to tell me to be careful because the roads are slippery. G slept all night and was not miserable when he woke up, so that's progress. We're having pot roast for dinner, which seems perfect on a dreary day.
Yesterday was our rainy day...today is beautiful and sunny, and it's already about 68 degrees too.
Today is my late day at work, boo. I'll be here til 8pm.
DS2 woke up twice again last night. Once was because he peed through his diaper (he is PT during the day but not at night), the other DH said his pillow fell off his bed or something equally as ridiculous. We are going to try and really get him a "big boy bed" - probably a full size mattress - for his third birthday next month and hopefully that will eliminate some of this silly waking up stuff. But maybe not. I just need him to STTN for once ever.
I need help from you guys - I have been searching all over the place for bedding for DS2 once we get him a full size bed...I am struggling b/c I don't like anything I've seen so far. He wants dinosaurs, and his bedroom furniture is black. If anyone is able to find something decent, I'd love to see it. DS1 has the dinosaur bedding from Target which has a lot of browns in it, so we aren't going to do that one, but that's the kind of style I really like. It's not super cutesy which is something I like. Anything similar but different colors is essentially what I am looking for.

What is going on with our kiddos @kitchen and becole? Ugh. What about you, jcrewgirl?
I will try HomeGoods for bedding. I've been searching all over the internet and pinterest and even Etsy but I really don't want to use Etsy b/c it's a lot more expensive.
Must be brain growth! I'm having trouble getting him to go to bed. He's falling asleep an hour later than normal and really giving us fits. Last night we left the room and he said "wait for me guys!" Then yelled "hey guys!" Over and over then cried. Then I went up and visited him and left and he started hollering again. "Hey you come get me!" "You come in here mommy!" And this is a kid that's been going to sleep fine for a good 9 months with little shenanigans. We're either moving later bedtime or cutting nap shorter. I can't decide.
It's rainy and miserable here. And this morning when I was giving DS a bottle in his room, a mouse came running out6 from under his dresser. UGH!!! The war is on! Poison is going in the attic and more traps are being bought.

Yeah...mine has never really been great about STTN but he has been EXTRA difficult lately, especially putting to bed. I will tell him to get in bed and he will like half lay in it and have half his body hanging off the side and won't let me tuck him in, kicks the covers off, just fights me in general. We've had to put the gate back on his door too, I've caught him wandering and trying to wake up DS1 and the baby. At least with his random MOTN wakeups, he's easy to get back to bed and doesn't fight us...I just wish he'd sleep.
He's also been throwing full out tantrums lately as well. Like, flinging his body to the floor type tantrums. This is new for us. I am wondering if it's his threenager phase coming on.

Sorry to hear about the sleep issues with the older kiddos. Is that pretty standard for two to three years old? Kinda dreading when DS takes less naps...
Day 2 of being sick. I still had a fever at 2 AM so I took Tylenol. By 6 the fever was gone and I was able to get myself out of bed and ready for work. Now I'm taking Tylenol every 4 hours to get through the day (pretty sure it'd be back if I stopped taking the Tylenol). I'm not sure what's going on. Fever was the first symptom Sunday night and I didn't have an appetite yesterday. Now I'm congested and my throat hurts.
becole mine had been doing similar protests at night and nap but they seem to have tapered off a bit. My favorite was when she finally got so fed up that she added my first name (obvs the actual one not kitchen) "kitchen! Come get me! Kitchen! I'm awake!"
It's like their world expanded and they have new ways of tormenting us now.
I'm getting super frustrated pumping again. I pumped 4 times/ day and got my supply up and that lasted all of a week and now I'm pumping half what I used to. Nothing different calorie wise and I'm on vitamins now. No meds or anything and when DS is with me he eats a ton.i don't get it.
Cute shoes macaronmama!! What a score! Sorry for all the about to be 3 yo problems...I feel like DS1 went through a stage during that time too.
I feel like it's been raining here for weeks. Rain in the forecast until Thursday, then measurable wet snowfall Thursday night. 66* on Sunday. Yay spring in MI!! GTFO, you're drunk.
I'm home sick today. DS1 woke us up Sunday morning to a literal bed full of shit. From there he had diarrhea 2-4x an hour all day. I washed my hands excessively and followed him around with Clorox wipes and STILL managed to get sick yesterday afternoon. Bah. I knew we wouldn't make it out of winter without getting the GI crap. I'm feeling better now, so I'm annoyed I wasted a sick day for this. But working with transplant patients and all....
Work is still going really well. I so love it. The kids are great (aside from the sickness). DS2 sleeps from 7-6:15ish on daycare days and will sleep until 8 or later on the weekends. It's been so nice. DS1 did officially night train himself-aside from the diarrhea episode Sunday morning, he's been accident free for over a month. Officially in big boy pants at bedtime as of last week.
I miss it here. When I'm off orientation (end of the month!!) I'm hoping to have more down time at work so I can check in more often. Right now I'm still so slow at everything and any time I have free time I feel like I should be learning all the things. KWIM? When I'm on my own I can do my own thing. Also, I can't believe we have 6 month and almost 6 month old babies. Wtf.

T&Ps to all of you with current or soon-to-be-threenagers. Four has been up and down for us, but I'm cautiously optimistic that five will be great.
becole, have you changed out the parts recently? I have a PISA, and I just changed out the membranes and bought larger flanges. My supply took a hit after I had the stomach bug, but I've noticed in the last two days it seems to be coming back up. Of course, G is now taking more during the day than I am able to pump, which is giving me a whole other level of frustration.
britta, the stomach bug is the wooooooorst. I'm glad everyone is feeling better.

Yesterday, I realized that Easter is less than two weeks away. Since we do the whole Easter Bunny thing, I decided that I need to shop on Saturday for basket stuff and outfits for them. When I was on my way home from work, MH called me after picking up N at school. This was the conversation.
Me: On Saturday, I want to run out and get stuff for the boys’ Easter baskets so I don’t have to worry about it next weekend. MH:…You realize you’re on speakerphone, right? Me: Uh, I mean, I have to go see the Easter Bunny on Saturday to tell him what to bring the boys in their baskets. Also, you should have told me I was on speakerphone.

I'll try different membranes. The suction seems to be there though. Im emptying the breasts just not getting multiple letdowns.
becole is your period coming back? I'd say either that or the membranes. Different flange sizes help me too sometimes.
I think DD has croup. It's the beginning stages so ped said we didn't have to have her seen yet. Hopefully she can kick this thing before it gets really bad.

I've not gotten my period yet but I know I've complained that the drop in supply is almost cyclical. Like perhaps I'm not bleeding but I am having a cycle and a hormone change each month. That could make sense.

smallpotato DH does that crap to me too (re: Easter bunny). I'm like DUDE...TELL ME I am on speakerphone. He also is the worst about having full on conversations with me about Santa, Easter bunny, tooth fairy, etc in front of the kids and 100% forgets they are listening and able to comprehend. It drives me crazy!

I do like that @holachica.
So I actually found a set that I decided to go with, I think it's similar to what you posted. It was on some children's boutique bedding site. It was expensive But I am tired of searching and I want to get things together and moving for when his birthday comes up!
Now on to find a cute shower curtain/theme idea for the kids' bathroom since I will have two boys and a girl sharing...
DD tried peas for the first time yesterday and ate half a container. Today the poor thing has the WORST diaper rash. I feel so bad for her. She doesn't even want to be in a diaper. I'm currently feeding her while she is wrapped in a towel. The poor thing and her bottom. Hopefully a baking soda bath followed by a thick coating of A&D will help.
