It's my Friday! Tomorrow's my birthday, so I'm taking the day off to be super lazy. The sun is out after a few rounds of snow earlier this week, so a few longer walks with the dog are definitely on the agenda for the next few days. I'm going out for lunch with a few coworkers today to our favorite Nepali restaurant. When I got to work, I found that a a coworker got me a Dill Pickle scented candle (pickles are a big thing in my office). I can't imagine what it would smell like if I burnt it, but it's super intense just to sniff. All in all--it's shaping up to be a good day
Good morning! Work will be slow today, since it is spring break here and a lot of people are on vacation, including my boss. I have some stuff I can catch up on, but eh...
DD's behavior has been eerily good the past three days. Normally she is headstrong and opinionated and a "you can't make me do anything I don't wanna do" type of kid who makes me both tear my hair out AND relish in the fact that she is going to be one hell of a lawyer one day...but the past three days she's just been agreeable and affectionate.
It is rainy and cool here (boo) and chances of snow tomorrow. I'm ready for spring but Ohio isn't on the same page yet.
Tonight is the last home game for our local NHL team before the playoffs. We've had an amazing year but we have lost our last four games and our offense is MIA. We have tickets to the game tonight so I hope they get it together.
I'm trying to talk DH into picking up Chipotle on his way home from work so we don't have to eat the overpriced (but good) arena food. This is our third game in the last 3 weeks and we have playoff tickets and I'm tired of arena food (#firstworldproblems).
We've had really severe weather here twice this week and today is so perfect. I wish I was off work to enjoy it. It is probably our only chance to experience real "Spring" weather before the 90 degree temps are back next week. I wasn't prepared for the cool weather today though and almost sent the toddler to daycare in sandals.
I wish it was Friday! Today I'm WFH alone with the toddler. This happens once every week or two since I have a unique childcare situation. I usually put on Peppa Pig and do as much as I can. They are really part time work days for me, but they FEEL like so much more work than normal! I also have a lot of laundry to put away/general cleaning to do and plan to finally get back to working out during her nap time/my lunchtime! Wish me luck! It has been.... a while.. since I last did any kind of work out.

It's actually going to be warm here, guys!! I'm freaking out. Buuuut, it's also raining. So much boo to that =( I woke up today deciding that I was going to go and get the onion rings I've been craving for like 4 days, but as soon as I had decided that, my stomach started gurgling, and I had to run to the bathroom... and I haven't been far since. Argh!! I'm hoping it settles down soon so I can go out and enjoy the warmer air before it starts raining
I think DD is starting to get a cold. She's super congested and sneezy. So we're watching Moana and cuddling. I'm enjoying the cuddles, but it's hard seeing her not act like herself.

Well nap time today was a very special kind of fresh hell. So instead do working out I am eating tator tots and watch Shameless. There's always tomorrow.
So Butler was supposed to get groomed today. H forgot to tell them to do feet last because he hates his nails trimmed and will growl at me. Needless to say his body is done and nails done but only a little fone on face and legs. But he also got a bath and they didn't charge us but still.

Smores I have the same type of work situation and we also do Peppa Pig those days, along with 'art projects'. Best of luck.
What art projects do you do? That sounds like a good option to break up the day! DD is only 2 so all of the art projects we have done are messy and require my attention (usually something with paint or stamps). I'd love ideas for something she could do mostly herself, with only a little assistance from me.

I keep a shoebox in my office full of random stuff from the craft store- stickers, pipe cleaners, glitter glue, sticky gems, etc. and then I have a stack of white paper and a stack of multicolor paper. I know a lot of my friends probably cringe at the thought, but she has fun making stuff and it really takes like 5 mins to throw stuff back in the box/ toss.
cicimcstuffins - That's a great idea! I think I'm going to start a box for DD. I might have to modify a bit as I don't trust her to free play with things like glitter glue quite yet (it would end up alllll over my carpet and her lol), but the other items could definitely work for us!

Haha yeah I think I held off on the glitter glue until at least 3. Also that paper you 'paint' with water and colors show up was cool for a while, maybe around that time?
