S slept for longer intervals last night but I didn't take advantage of it. She slept from 9:00 to 3:30 -- way longer than her usual 3 hour stretches. Instead of going to bed early I cleaned the kitchen and relaxed baby-free. But then she woke up at 6 crying, and my boobs were killing me. I pumped more than 11 oz 😲 Plus I leaked all over the bed.
I'm dying to see Beauty and the Beast. I'm thinking of taking S to a 12pm showing. I'll be prepared to feed her or leave if she's fussing too loudly. Let's hope it's not a terrible idea...
notagoddess I was thinking about waiting until like the last week of April and go at a random time to try to catch the theater empty lol. I want to see it too! Hope it works out for you.
We are having terrible storms this morning so DD DS the dog and I are all still snuggling in my bed watching Mickey and the Roadster Ravers. Probably should get up soon..
notagoddess I've been thinking of taking the baby to Beauty and the Beast. I don't think it's a terrible idea. I'm hoping she would sleep in her car seat or sleep in the ktan.
loves2shop4shoes, when they're super sweet instead of actually understanding the issue and why it's upsetting is frustrating!
S just had another blowout, taking the Mamaroo down this time She was wearing a size 2 diaper. This has been the 5th consecutive day of 2+ (and up to 4 or 5) blowouts/leaks every day since Saturday. I'm at a loss. I think I'm going to buy a diaper cover for now, just to contain the mess when we're out.
Next diaper change will be the last newborn sized diaper we use....ever. Last baby milestones are so bittersweet. So many that I didn't give a second thought to first time. Queue overly emotional diaper change today.
Ordering a new duvet cover set for our room today from pottery barn.

I'm mailing out copies of my grandmother's funeral program to my siblings. None of us were able to attend, but someone mailed me a copy of the program so I made more and am sharing them.
In happier news, we got our taxes filed last night and we have friends coming over this morning.
notagoddess, have you considered cloth diapers? I think DS1 had one blowout in cloth, ever.
wildflower810, I thought about cloth diapers but if I'm honest with myself I don't want to do the extra laundry. Of course right now I'm doing it anyway since she's pooping and peeing all over our clothes and her gear on a daily basis. There is a cloth diaper and babywearing store about half an hour away that I plan on visiting... that is if I can get the poop off the car seat...

notagoddess and anyone else going to see Beauty and the Beast, I recommend seeing it in 3D. We saw it non-3D and there were a few blurry scenes that were obviously supposed to be seen only with the glasses.
I scheduled a car seat check today, mainly so MH would get some instruction on how to properly strap the kids in. Guess who is too busy at work to go to the appointment? Yep, I'm going by myself. I hope they at least have some ideas about car seat arrangements. It'd be great if the could figure out a way to install the infant seat bases.
I'm on my own today since DH is at work. He let me have a lot of me time yesterday though. I went to the gym and did some shopping. Today it's raining and storming all day so it looks like we'll be stuck inside all day.
Z is trying to kill me with the 4am like clockwork wakeup, though. I wouldn't mind It so much if she slept more in the evening. The past few days she's been up from 6 or 7 until almost 11. If she'd go down a good stretch in there and then 11 was her first wakeup and 4 the next I'd feel much better. I'm (maybe naively) hoping this will change once she's in daycare and (maybe) is forced onto a real schedule.
Did our taxes last night too and once again we're screwed. Because we didn't have kids in 2016 we end up owing a fair amount to both federal and state that we don't really have...the fun of having been a two income family with no dependents...the only deductions we really qualify for are from owning our home. I guess at least this was the last year that should happen.
@jacks605 - that's the exact duvet I've had my eye on forever! We've had our current duvet for an embarrassingly long time but I'm holding off on a new one until we (maybe) move up to a cal king size when we renovate our 3rd floor (in like 3 yrs, le sigh). Let me know if you love it when it arrives!
Omg notagoddess - I considered going to the movies with B multiple times during my leave. I wish I had actually gone. It's not a horrible idea at all! Hope you enjoy it!

allisong87 so sorry about this sick kids. I hope they recover quickly!
notagoddess C went through a phase of having blow outs everyday, but he was older. Maybe 6-7 months (I forget). It made me switch to Target brand diapers. It didn't stop the blow outs, but I figured if he was gonna have blowouts either way, why pay for expensive Pampers? Eventually it stopped. Sorry for the story with no real advice!
We had big storms last night and lost power from about 8:15-10:30. C was a bit confused but not too upset. He will probably want a power outage everyday because we let him sleep in our bed. Today I am taking R I to my office to meet me co-workers. I'll probably stop at Target too. DH and C are going to the Blue Jackets hockey game tonight, so it will be just me and R. I''m trying to decide on what takeout I want.

Last night was a successful PnP night. Successful, as in he had a really rough start so I didn't manage to avoid witching hour, but then fell asleep by 10 and went back in it each time during the night with his usual 3ish hour stretches.
Today is raining so today will be my cleaning day. MIL is coming by after lunch to watch the kids so I can take DS to our last scheduled midwife appointment. I still plan to go to the group classes when I can until 12w because I really like the midwives and the speakers they get are interesting.
notagoddess, to develop on wildflower810 point, you could buy like 2 cloth diaper covers which are usually pretty cheap and put them over the disposables. If it's because she's between sizes it will get you through that weird time and might be helpful again in the future if it happens again. Plus you can just sell them for some money back when you're done or even use them dual use as swim diapers.
nomnom IME the car seat people will not tell you where to install seats, I think for liability reasons. I want to take our car for a check because I do not like how the infant base is installed. DH got irritated when I mentioned it.
And...dropped a bottle of milk from yesterday's pump when getting out of the fridge to bag and freeze. Saved it quickly so only lost 3 of the 6 ounces. 😪

@nomnom - I just did my car and DH's on Tuesday and the tech asked me what seat I wanted where then deferred to each cars users maual. If they don't give you guidance let me know. I went to high school with a girl that is certified and I can feed her you info to ask questions if you want.
