It's rainy here today again. Yesterday was such a nice day but a total tease. I just finished my workout for the day and poppy is asleep in the mamaroo. I want to watch a chick flick this afternoon.
DH will be in Boston for a work event tonight so I will have both girls for bedtime for the first time alone. I am going to make Stella dinner before I pick her up from daycare to prepare myself. SAHMs of two who are with both all day, I don't know how you do it. I never have both alone and it makes me nervous, lol.

It is so rainy and grey today. I let myself get guilted into going to a program at the school where I used to work. My friend works there and assumed I was coming. Eek. I took my grandma along. DS is 20 months old. He's not ready for a 1.5 hour program! We ended up playing in the nursery after it was halfway done. My grandma held the sleeping baby. Haha
Now I'm tired and have changed back into my yoga pants. I think I'm going to let the baby sleep on my lap and do some reading. This has been a busy week!
We had a busy morning. So just catching up now. R slept really good last night until about 5:45 when the congestion got the better of her. I hit the gym this morning, then we all went to target. It was rushed because of insane toddler meltdowns, but I did grab a Starbucks. I'm about to have coffee number 2. 😬
Now K is taking her nap. R just fell asleep on me. And I made K's birthday invitations. DH convinced me to have his whole family over the day after the party for cake. We had decided we weren't inviting his 15-20 aunts/uncles to the birthday party because I wanted something smaller and then he changed his mind. I said no way; so we agreed on coffee and cake the next day. Completely dreading this. None of them have even met R.
After we get through K's birthday I need to plan R's christening. Too much planning.
We've made it to naptime with only one potty accident so far. This is tiring though. I had DH watch her last night while I made dinner and told him to put his phone down and keep a close eye on her for when she starts her potty dance. What'll ya know he answered a phone call and she peed on my new rug. I've been doing this all day I would think he could handle a few minutes. We got into an argument and I'm still bitter today. Like 30 minutes without your phone glued to your face is not going to kill ya bud.
It's our anniversary and I'm withholding his presents until he apologizes.

It's rainy here too. DD has the sniffles and keeps telling me she doesn't want to go to school. Sorry kid, you're going. If you stayed home every time you had a stuffy nose you'd miss half the school year.
Baby has been extra clingy the last few days. I'm thinking of buying a swing to see if he'll allow me to put him down without crying. They're so expensive here though.
Yesterday was my H's birthday and I made him cupcakes. Then we had tacos for dinner after the kids were in bed. It was really nice!

We got one two weeks ago from either kid to kid or once upon a child I can't remember but for $50. Its been a lifesaver!! Maybe try there or a mom's group page on Facebook?
nomnom IME the car seat people will not tell you where to install seats, I think for liability reasons. I want to take our car for a check because I do not like how the infant base is installed. DH got irritated when I mentioned it.
@nomnom - I just did my car and DH's on Tuesday and the tech asked me what seat I wanted where then deferred to each cars users maual. If they don't give you guidance let me know. I went to high school with a girl that is certified and I can feed her you info to ask questions if you want.
I told them that I don't care how they're arranged. Let's just find if there is a way to install the infant seat bases anywhere besides the single fold-down seat in the second row. They accommodated that, maybe because they're not telling me where to put anything.
Since I will be alone tonight after bedtime I am defrosting homemade sauce and meatballs my aunt had brought us when we had P and got a nice bottle of red wine. Hoping the kids both go down easily so I can have dinner and wine alone and watch trashy TV.

I agree, I don't know how the sahm's do it. I have to psych myself up for a few hours of solo with 2.

Beauty and the Beast was a success! I went to a 2pm 3D showing in a godforsaken strip mall and I was literally the only person in the theater. S didn't fuss but she was awake and nursed twice, so it was nice to have privacy. And the movie was so freaking good. I grew up watching the animated version and now S has a new version for her childhood. I love it!

Finally getting a chance to read the board! DS2 got vaccines today and has been a fuss-bucket since. He's finally taking a decent nap. He's down a couple of ounces from being sick, doc seemed unconcerned but I'm not jazzed about it. Im hoping his appetite picks back up soon.

Just got back from the midwife. We are passed on to our family doctor now. He's 13lbs 3oz and is in the 99.9 percentile for height. 😂 My 7 week old chubby buddy.
