H left this morning for a board game convention near Chicago, so it's just J and I until late tomorrow night. We are heading to the Children's Museum in a little bit, then meeting my mom for lunch.
I broke the band on my Garmin in my sleep last night. I might just upgrade to a new one.

Starting the weekend early by going out for drinks with a friend tonight.
Tomorrow I need to run out and put together the boys' Easter basket, but other than that NO PLANS! It's our first Saturday without baseball since January. But I'm paying for it Sunday when we're taking the whole team to a baseball game.
Goooood morning! I'm having the rare cup of coffee so I'm having a little buzz right now.
LO has a canker sore! How strange is that? On Tuesday he was wincing when he was eating an orange and grabbing his face. My mom said he pulled a chair over on himself earlier in the day so I assumed he had cut his lip inside or something. I tried to look but he fought me so I let it go. Yesterday he grabbed at it again and looked in pain so I tried harder to look and discovered it. Poor thing!
Good morning Getting ready to head out to lunch to see a work friend who is now at a different office. Then to the mall after work for a follow-up eye appointment and a little shopping. Tomorrow is DD's first soccer game of the spring season and H volunteered me to be the snack mom of the weekend so I have to scramble to prepare something for that as well. H says he is going to be doing work work all weekend, awesome.
It's about to be the hottest day of 2017 here thus far! And I'm assuming breaking more records since we did yesterday!
We had a gorgeous bike ride (for DS)/walk to preschool this morning and L and I headed straight to the backyard when we got home. I pulled out some of our patio furniture and got the jeep out for her and I am just sitting out here in my t shirt for the first time this year, all by 9:30. This makes me so happy, even though it's currently higher right now than the highest high forecast next week haha! But it's all good cause it's Friday and I'm going to soak this day in.
We will be headed out to the ILs tomorrow morning for an early Easter weekend with them!

This morning BH was being waaaaaaaay too quiet. I figured he must have gotten into the dog food and water. I went looking for him. He did not get into the dog food. He did get into the dryer, where he was hanging out wth his blanket and stuffed wolf.

Joolschweets The east coast is amazing... The scenery and the people! That will be such a great trip.
Today would have been my grandma's birthday, she passed away 3 years ago. My aunt has had her ashes until now but today we are going to lay them to rest finally. It's not meant to be a sad day, but I sure wish she could have had the chance to know the girls. I'm not sure how to explain today to DD1.
Happy Friday! I'm sleepy thanks to DS being up with what seems to be a little cold last night. Luckily, he was still in a pretty good mood this morning, enough for us to get through getting the dishwasher fixed and a couple loads of laundry done. We may or may not go to Target this afternoon depending on when he wakes from his nap, but then tonight it's Lego night at The Little Gym, so I think we'll have fun there
michyme123, sounds like allergies to me, watery eyes for me always indicate allergies vs. cold. Either way, take a Claritin before your night out - it can't really hurt, and best case it'll help dry you up either way so you can be snot free for a night
veggiemo, ouch that sounds like it hurts poor kiddo!
billyhorrible, I totally giggled at the thought of your kiddo just hanging out in the dryer.
We need a freaking break over here. Took lo to the clinic yesterday and he has an ear infection. Today we found out the DH has an "extensive" blood clot in his leg so he's on blood thinners for three months and basically on bedrest for a week then light duty for two more weeks...

I've scored some seriously cute clothes for C these past few days and I'll be stalking the mail for the next week! Easter egg coloring and a cookout planned for tomorrow because it's going to be 70🙌🏻
Bluedaisy I'm sending you all the happy thoughts that things start to get easier for you!
We have no plans today other than a few house projects. We have been to taekwondo lessons and the grocery store, and we're now eating leftover pizza for lunch. We will try the park later, but it's beautiful outside, so I have a feeling the rest of the city has the same idea.
DD has the fifths virus. She's apparently past the contagious period and just has the rash on her cheeks and forearms. She had a few cold symptoms this week, but that was all I noticed before the rash. I hope she keeps the virus contained to herself.
ugh I'm so sorry about the fifths virus! That sucks!
Bluedaisy, I'm sorry, you have really had a rough spell lately. Hoping things are on an upswing for you again soon!
We went to an Easter egg hunt this morning and DS was SO excited that he got his eggs, and best of al - a bouncy ball! He was dead tired, so fingers crossed for a nice long nap now. I'm currently enjoying some vanilla cupcake m & ms, they are amazing! And tonight for dinner is burgers, chips, and guacamole because the weather is beautiful - a perfect Saturday!

I'm jealous of all the nice weather everywhere but here... I've been swamped with farm chores and greenhouse work. T is in the same boat with another ear infection, so he's at home with DH today while I'm at the farm with the big kids. My mom and I took DD shopping this morning for some "3rd grade clothes" because she's moving up a grade next week (that phone call was a bit of a surprise).
In other news, DH is getting fixed next week. He's pretty excited about it!

Busy day here- had an event that was also an easter egg hunt. So now we have ten tons of candy since there were far less attendees than expected. It was in the 60s but really windy. Then we spent some time at the park, mostly climbing up and going down the slides.
My parents took J for a bit this afternoon, but he wouldn't nap for them, so we took a 6-7pm nap since he fell asleep on the 10 minute drive home. Not looking forward to bedtime tonight.
wegrowsheep, I seriously snorted at the fact that the farm girl on the board used "getting fixed"...all I could think of was the elastics people use to castrate calves!
