THANK FUCKING GOD IT IS FRIDAY.

Lord, this goddamn week. DS has decided he doesn't need to sleep and has been waking through the night (he is 4 and hasn't done this shit for YEARS). Work is so busy and stressful this week. Dumb coworkers and rude patients galore. OVER IT. Bring on the ice cream, wine, and Netflix please.

Our power went out sometime last night and we're still waiting for it to be restored. Hopefully it comes back before my battery dies.

H and I are supposed to go see Beauty and the Beast tomorrow. I'm excited!

Cannot wait until I'm off work at 2:30. It is supposed to be nice this weekend so I'm going to get some more of the wood picked up that we chopped and have the kids pick up the sticks. Today a high of 60 degrees and then for Saturday and Sunday a high of 72 degrees.

Birthday celebration here. I took today off and slept in. The rest of the day will be spent binge watching my latest favorite show: Crazy Ex-girlfriend. I love it. Then tomorrow we head downtown for dinner and a night at a hotel and brunch with DH's family on Sunday.

My boss just told me to go home and enjoy a mental health day, it's been insane there recently so this was much needed. It's so nice here today, I'm on the patio with a new book!

I love that patio setup. We built a pergola over part of ours last year and have been searching for furniture ever since. It's harder than I thought to find something that we like.

I'm working through this spectacular weekend, boo. Today is okay because I'm with the other best worker, but this weekend I'm stuck with my least favorite partner. She's just got such a negative attitude about everything, and I already know she's going to be whining about my taking a week off at the end of the month. I wish she would just hurry up and retire already.

On the brighter side, bff and I are going to see Beauty and the Beast tonight :-D I went to the bulk store and got a whole whack of snacks lol

Oh, and my mom booked us all in for a massage while we're on vacation, and my brother just found out that he has to take his clothes off and is freaking out. It's making me laugh so hard

Still no power, but it looks like most of the metro area is out, so it may be a while. Boo.

No real plans for this weekend besides running a few errands. Maybe going out for dinner one day.

AFM, I'm on day 2 of instant coffee since in the mess of yesterday, I forgot to ask H to pick up more grounds. But, even that can't get me down, I'm so happy it's Friday!

If it makes you feel better I didn't know people washed windows. I haven't washed mine in never. But maybe it's a regional need?

FFFC: I use instant all the time. Instant decaf even. But only when I have flavored creamer.

I'm not sure I have anything to confess. Hmmmm....

I am super excited because we are having friends over tonight and they are the good kind that I don't need to clean my house too much for or get nervous about impressing with fancy recipes and drinks. Truly the best kinds of hangouts and I feel so blessed for them.







Editing because I DO have a confession! This week while working, I discreetly watched the entire second season of The Hills. Also, I looked up the main cast members signs and anazlyzed them on a zodiac level. This is truly a confession only fit for the internet. #ismyjobboring #icantfocus

@led & leekpartyof2 - I am not a fan of instant (obviously from my pp), but DH actually prefers it some days which is why we have it in the first place. I, too, drink it with flavored creamer. But trust that I will be picking up some grounds later today for tomorrow morning!

I wanted to take DD to the zoo to see the new baby hippo this morning, but it's pretty cold outside. Plus, she still sounds pretty bad. Maybe we'll just go next week and see her.
