This will be only the second year we have ever celebrated easter together so I am wondering what most people are doing. We are not religious at all but I wanted to do the easter bunny and have it be more of a "celebration of spring" since I never got a basket growing up since I was raised in an agnostic family.
For the second year in a row we are hosting a small brunch. This year we have my inlaws and one of my sisters with her husband and two kids coming. I have baskets for the girls then we will have mimosas and brunch with everyone. We are doing a small egg hunt on our patio then later in the afternoon we are going to our aunts house for a second Easter egg hunt. It should be fun, low key and a great excuse to dress up the girl in matching outfits:)
Friday-?? Debating on going to a local chick hatching event. Saturday- Easter egg hunt at a local park Sunday- Easter egg hunt at home for LO1 with baskets then Easter brunch at my aunts.
Ditto on not being religious (much to our parents' chagrin). A won't be home until Saturday evening, so we won't be doing anything before then. I think we'll do baskets when they get up in the morning, then make a nice brunch before heading outside for our egg hunt- it's actually supposed to be really nice out! At some point, I want to take some proper pictures of the girls in their outfits. The rest of the day is a total toss up.
We are going to visit my parents -- LO's first overnight trip!
We are religious and will attend church on Sunday morning. My mom mentioned going on Friday as well, but I don't want to take the kids to a 7pm service, so we will see.
Thursday -- travel Friday -- maybe do something as a family? Introduce LO to my mom's friends. Saturday -- dye Easter eggs, prep Easter dinner Sunday -- Easter baskets, egg hunt, church, big dinner, travel home
My mom will do ham, cheesy hashbrown potatoes, and other side dishes. We are still negotiating dessert.

We actually have an Easter egg hunt today in town I think we will go to.
My parents and sister are coming to our house next weekend. It's our first year hosting, but it's easiest since I didn't wanna travel and stay over night with two kids. I'm sure my mom will still cook and all that jazz.
We also aren't really religious. I am technically catholic and my oldest daughter is baptized, we got married in a church. But we aren't church go-ers.

We are religious and have tons of family who want to see us at every holiday, but we get a pass because of the newborn. We only have to go to one place per day
Tomorrow (Sunday) my dad and stepmom are having their meal.
Next Saturday we have a meal at my grandma's Sunday we'll go to church and then have lunch afterwards at my IL's. There's also church in the evening which H will go to because he does the sound. We won't because C is still usually pretty fussy in the evenings.

Friday J has off school, so we'll dye eggs and stuff.
Saturday we don't have plans. We may go to a local main street event for something to do. Perhaps breakfast at this delicious cafe, then whatever they have for kids.
We're religious so we'll go to church Easter Sunday. So it's church, then boozy brunch at my aunt's house with an egg hunt for J.
Then, we'll go to MH's aunt's house for homemade Italian Easter dinner! This year is raviolis. Yum! And obviously another egg hunt for J and her cousins.
We'll make J a basket, too. I'll probably get her a swimsuit, a book or two, some candy, and maybe some new headbands or hairclips for her sassy haircut.

We celebrate almost all holidays with my family since my ILs live abroad and my parents live just over an hour away. My family is Polish and we do the Polish version of holiday traditions. So there is no egg hunt, personal Easter baskets or Easter bunny. We're not religious but my parents are, so we'll go to church with them. We'll head over on Saturday, sleep over (first time with S) and spend the day on Sunday. I don't enjoy it too much because of the strong religious focus, but I'm excited for my brother to finally meet S.

Since I'm far away from my religious family this year, no church for us. Too hard for me to take all of the kids myself and go to a church I've never been to, since we're new here. No thanks.
Friday if the weather is nice were going to an egg hunt thing at the beach. Saturday will be the egg hunt at our place with their easter baskets from me. Sunday is brunch, baskets and egg hunt at the ILs. Monday might go to another beach event, again, weather dependant.
We'll probably decorate eggs this weekend since the weather is supposed to be bad. Then we'll have cute decorations around for the week to get the kids excited.

I've got to work, surprise! It's actually one of my favorite Sundays of the year for many many reasons. After church, which will hopefully go well, (we will have an organist this year!), my SIL and BIL will be coming over to grill. BIL makes a truly magnificent burger and they are fun to hang out with. Egg hunt is tomorrow at church so there's that too!
