@ceci8876 I have been to parties like that... not in a while though. The last party that aggravated me was my friends son's 2nd birthday. They were like an hour or more late to their own party. Her family was at the hall already. I left before they cut the cake, that is the first time I've left a party before the cake was cut.

I'm exhausted. Half-price day off a big consignment sale was today and I now have EE clothed through the fall for $100. Not bad! She didn't nap more than 30 min all day, so that was fun. We're officially in the hitting/kicking/spitting stage of toddlerhood. This is normal right? And just a stage? Please say yes.

Last night we drove an hour after work to my brother's for our nephew's birthday party. We left after DS's bedtime and he slept the entire drive home and we just put him in bed when we got home. I.e. I didn't nurse as part of his bedtime routine. So tonight DH read him books and put him down.
This was the goal since it's hurting me so bad and I don't think there's even much milk left, if any.
I had a busy day at work today. They have me training a new nurse. She is very sweet, but sometimes I just want to dig in to my work and have an easy day.
I'm already in bed and am eating pringles for dinner. H took off with friends the second I walked in through the door. I think I'm going to do the same o him tomorrow. He is teaching a class (for free) and I need to bring the girls solo to a birthday party. I still haven't had a chance to do any schoolwork at all and am desperate to catch up. At this rate I'm not going to graduate.
H competed in a Savage Race today. He didn't want us to watch- so I dropped him off and then schlepped all over creation entertaining the kids. We picked him up 4.5 hours later (3 hours of race, 1 hour of prep, 30 minutes to change, etc afterward) and start the 3 hour drive home. Except...it took us EIGHT hours to get home courtesy of several accidents.

bshelly at sarahh o is hitting too- mostly other kids. My bigs were not hitters so this is new ground. I think I've partially figured out he hits when he can't say what he wants (like I want a turn or I want the ball or I want to sit where you are). It's not a fun phase so far

So H and I are headed to a hotel/casino situation for the night. We're dropping all 3 kids off with my parents in a bit. I'm super nervous because I don't leave sam often and both boys have colds and are a bit all over the place.
But anyway, were packing the car and my H said "I downloaded some podcasts for us to listen to. I found a good one on the trail of tears". Wtf? Why would I, on the first real overnight since Sam was born, want to listen to a podcast about the trail of tears? Seriously so bizarre.
We had a play date this morning with my best friend and her daughter. They go to the same daycare so they know each other. They were so cute, and she did not want to go home. She said "mom I don't want to go home. I want to stay here and relax. Leaving is so hard."
Good luck with your Pesach prep. I'm so jealous. It's seriously my favorite holiday and my MIL sucks. She doesn't do it the way I like. This year, DH didn't say anything and MIL didn't say anything so I was going to do one night. But our friends invited us for pre-pesach seder last night at his mother's house. Their haggadahs were for kids so it was Passover-lite. Next year I'll definitely do it.
Cleaning today. I hate cleaning days where it's deep cleaning. The boys are a mess, DS2 won't stop crying over every little thing and DS1 is causing half of every little thing.
Sitting at an open house that I volunteered for weeks ago not knowing it'd be such a beautiful day. I hope no one comes, I don't feel like being cheerful and putting on my sales hat.
In other news, the 8:45pm dinner was AWESOME!! It was a cool dinner and burlesque experience that I had nooo idea about. The food definitely wasn't worth the $$, but the show was very entertaining. I paced my caffeine right and was able to make it to 11! Now I'm sleepy, but such a different and fun time!
