Couldn't hear the heartbeat with the doppler, so that sucked. I'm not quite 11 weeks yet, so it's early, but I was hoping.
I saw the NP again, and she said we'd follow up in 4 weeks and my next ultrasound would be at 18-20 weeks. Nope. Not ok with that. Yet again, I pushed back, and I'm going in again in two weeks for an ultrasound and to see the ob.
Good for you! I'm horrible at stuff like that and even when I try it doesn't work. It sounds like your advocacy is more effective! It is too bad you have to do it, but it's better than waiting that long for another US. Not ok!
We traveled 10 hours yesterday and my kid was a champ. We're about 5 hours away right now, so about 6 with stops. Hopefully she can do another day just as good. I'm shocked she did so we'll. Minimal crying and only at the end.
We are still at the hospital and we are starting chemo tomorrow. He has another fever so it is good that we are here and save ourselves an ER trip. Seriously, WTF, with the fevers.
I'm sorry this has just been one hurdle after another for all of you,
I can't decide if I want to tell my dad about the pregnancy today. We're going out for dinner to a place where he loves to get espresso martinis for dessert (lol) and he's going to question me not drinking. But since we didn't get to hear the heartbeat yesterday, I'm not feeling as confident.

I'm sorry the OB was screwing you around bethkate. I was really hoping you'd hear it, but I'm now not very confident in their doppler skills either! I'm glad you stood up for yourself, that's not easy! I wish they'd get you in next week, my midwife said I could literally come in any time between now and my anatomy scan if I wanted to hear the heartbeat, just call the day before.
Also, an espresso martini sounds like an amazing dessert! I hope whatever you decide to do tonight goes well, it's hard to decide whether to tell or not.
We'll be there in ten minutes. This was difficult. And in a couple days we're heading to Biloxi so our drive back will be likely three days. Maybe two painfully long ones. We're flying next time, holy hell.

bethkate if something were to happen would you tell you dad? I say if so tell him tonight, if not then wait. If you need an excuse tell him you drank too much last night and are still a little hungover.

No, I wouldn't tell him. That's why I've waited this long. Telling him when I miscarried two years ago was awful. He was really upset about it, of course, and it just made it more difficult for me.

Then I say wait until your more comfortable. On the way to the er last night the thought of having to tell my mom something happened definitely made me even more upset so I could only imagine. Good luck.

Thanks @thatgolfbitch, you looked amazing! I was thinking on the 45 minute, I'm ok with spending some money as I could use a new concealer and lip gloss.

... why my neighbor feels the need to mow/weedwack his lawn during nap time every Saturday is beyond me.
Also figured out where DS may have heard potty language. From my neighbors ... who have a 4.5 and 2.5 year old. I'm all about using whatever language you want around your kids, but I think it's considerate to not use a**hole, b*tch, and f*ck in front of someone else's (especially when said child is standing right in front of you). He was also a bit toasted so there's that too. Maybe that's an UO but whatever.

We're going to my friend's house tonight for dinner. She's middle eastern and is making us food and I'm ridiculously excited lol. She's been in FL for the past month and is finally back so I'm going to tell her I'm pregnant tonight. I'm more nervous about telling her than my family.
There is no more pretending I'm just pudgy over here. My belly is solid as a rock below my belly button. I can clearly feel my ute. I am a little weirded out by this because dang, 11 weeks is early for that. There had better only be one in there.
I assume it's just second pregnancy + I make big babies. Or my dates are off somehow, but that is unlikely given that I was charting BBT and OPKs.
+1 to making big babies.
My stomach right down the bottom is hard also, like to the point I found myself gently poking it last night thinking this is early lol
Ah just found baby's HB ❤️ little bugger was hiding from me these past couple days!! Nice and fast. Weird echo sound made is sound like I could hear another HB like beating right after each beat the baby did. Couldn't find the second HB on the left, the one I mentioned about like 4 days ago.
9 days to go. Tuesday you can't come quick enough!!

I'm also 11 weeks, and I'm not going to be able to hide my blump much longer, especially with warmer weather/skimpier clothes and layering not really being an option.
I just spent about 30 minutes outside cleaning up the yard, and now I'm on the couch exhausted. Pregnancy and not running has made me really out of shape already! I'm trying to listen to my body and not push myself, though.
