As much as DS2 eats, I'm amazed he isnt chubby. I mean, he's not skinny either, but somewhere in the middle. I keep thinking if he would just bulk up, maybe he would sleep better. But maybe not.

Monday mornings are always busy here at the courthouse, but, man, are people in bad moods today. First, there was a couple arguing outside my window that had to be broken up by the marshals. Then, I just heard a woman yelling at (presumably) her ex, saying that it's never about the kids and only about what he can take from her. I also had a criminal defense attorney telling his client that his predicament (a new arrest) was due to his (the client's) stupidity. The client told the attorney he can't do jail time, and the attorney was like, why did you take a car that didn't belong to you? The things I overhear can be entertaining.

I'm sending 18oz to daycare + food and he eats it all. He was a starving little guy this weekend, eating almost every 2 hrs wanting a full bottle (at this point that's about 6oz). But I'm not keeping up with pumping anymore so we had to introduce formula a week and a half ago. Is anyone using the Target brand of formula? Similac/Enfamil is just so expensive, even with coupons.
Weather is gorgeous here. Kinda the nice weather holds out so we can plant next weekend. We cleared out all the weeds and such yesterday while DS was napping.

macaronmama we use Target's formula. I buy Similac only when I have coupons or rebate checks, but Target's stuff is the exact same. SO MUCH CHEAPER. I posted here last week that my Target had some of their formula on clearance (the small containers). Worth looking into!

I got one of the clearance ones! We used Target brand with DS1 and it worked out great.
jwinct such awesome news about your friend! Praying the surgery goes well.
We went to music class and played at the children's museum this morning. I should clean my house this afternoon but I think I'm going to take the girls to get seeds and start working on our garden instead. Easier to go outside and not look at the mess then clean it.
macaronmama, ksyknelvr73 - I have used Target brand formula for all three kids; love it! I actually bought a container of the Walmart brand equivalent last week and it was even cheaper than Target. It was $19.99 for the large container (I think it's like 2 lbs of formula) vs. the $23.99 I pay for the same container at Target. And the containers are identical. I'm pretty sure they are made by the same company and therefore exactly the same stuff.
I want to add Wal-mart's Parent's Choice formula is good too. The closest Target is 45 mins away so I use Wal-mart's brand when I have to.
Totally understandable. For me, there is Target across the street from my office so it's insanely convenient. The Walmart is further from me at home or at work than any Target - but it's good to know I have options!
@holachica, congrats to little sis! that's exciting and will be so fun! jwinct, such great news about your friend!! Hoping everything goes well. hikingmama222, sorry you're feeling in a funk. I hope it passes, but we're all here if you need to talk it out.
We spent the morning out in the yard with friends who came over. It is so nice out. DD2 took a killer nap this am, but a crappy mid-day one. DD1 is currently still taking a killer nap. I had increased my zoloft to see if I could feel even more improved (under the advice of the prescriber) and I actually didn't. I felt crummy again. SO i went back down a couple days ago and I'm back to feeling better again. I'm glad now I know. I'm transitioning more and more to formula. I'm going through samples from my office but I'm definitely going to try out the Target brand thanks to those of you who recommended it! I have the Red Card and Cartwheel which I think I sometimes see the formula offered on? DD2 is 20 lbs easily. My mom found my brothers and my baby books and we were both 20+ lbs at 6 months. So I think big is in the genes. I've started giving a half ounce of water in a bottle after each solids meal because DD2 got constipated with solids. I also give her a siuppy cup to practice with but she doesn't get much from that. I got the munchkin 360 and a soft spout one.

I have a new assignment for this week. A 5K walk/run. I'm finishing my story from last week tonight. I have to show it to the guy first before sending it to my editor. I really hope he doesn't want me to get rid of too much. Then I'll be doing this work for nothing.
@kitchen- I agree. It's absolutely horrific and senseless, and it pisses me off, too. My heart broke when I read about it earlier.
I took DS's temp after I picked him up after work and he had a fever again, so I called the pedi and they had me bring him in. He's got a sinus infection and possibly bronchitis. He is so miserable and I can't wait for the amox to start working.
I used to be able to rock the baby to sleep and then put him down. For the past 24 hours every single damn time he has woken up. He ended up in bed with me last night because I couldn't get him to stay asleep. I just rocked him for 45 minutes and he woke right up when I put him down. WTF kid, WTF?
