Has anybody stayed at an airbnb? We're going to a wedding 3 hours away this Saturday and I just found out my husband is off on Friday for Good Friday. I was thinking about going up Friday instead of Saturday morning. We still haven't decided if we're going to drive home after the wedding or stay at my cousin's on Saturday night.
I found an airbnb that was only $47/night and it looks pretty cozy. The owners live on the premises. Is that weird? They look like a nice grandparent couple lol. Any tips or advice? We'll have our 2.5 year old and 2 month old with us.
I've used airbnb twice, both times we rented an entire apartment/condo. I have nothing but good things to say about it, both places were exactly like the photos and it was so nice to stay in a home instead of a hotel, especially with a toddler. Being able to put her to bed and have another room to go to was priceless. It also worked out to being much less expensive than a hotel. I've never stayed in a room in a private home, but I know friends who have and they have had good experiences as well.

I booked it The couple that lives there had raving reviews. They encourage you to use their kitchen as well so we can save money by making dinner there and not have to take the newborn and toddler to a restaurant. I'm really excited. We haven't done anything fun as a family in a really long time.
linewifekat - We've stayed in multiple AirBnBs. Two where we rented a room and the family was also in the same home at the same time. Worked great both times! One time the couple encouraged us to use their kitchen if we wanted, but we were planning to eat out so only used their wine glasses. I would just make sure you know if they expect you to load dishes into the dishwasher or hand wash and dry and put back. Stuff like that. Enjoy your trip!
