Self Care 4/10

What did you do this past week? Did you get any back burner to do list items checked off?

Any plans for this week?

Challenge: If you celebrate Easter, soak up the fun parts and give yourself adequate breaks from the not so fun parts. If you don't celebrate Easter, do something fun at some point.

I have been and still am sick, so while the back burner - or any part of my to do list for that matter - has not had nearly as much attention as it should, I have taken some time to rest here and there.

This week, I need to hit the to do list hard, so I'm aiming for the 5+ minutes per day of self care this week. I also need to reestablish my exercise routine. Easter plans are TBD, so I'll be playing it by ear as to self care this weekend.

Back burner is boiling over.

There is so much I didn't get to. I have prioritized walking; I got about 4 good walks in this week.

More parents stuff on the plate for the coming week. DS is working Easter. Niece is avoiding. Dad thinks it Thanksgiving. I'd love to skip it.

Last week: I managed to squeeze in two times of walking on the treadmill.

Diet is somewhat back on schedule towards the end of the week. DH is hung up about eating meat. Albertson's has had some pretty good sales with the re-grand opening. I told DH we have to eat some chicken at some point because of me and my diet.

On Sunday, we went to the see the Boss Baby with MIL. MIL wanted to see it and DS could care less about it. DS wants to see the Ninjago Movie. Boss Baby was not that good in my opinion. It is geared toward kids and my MIL.

This week: I managed to walk on the treadmill yesterday and I plan to work out at least two more times.

On Saturday, I hope we can catch the Easter Bunny at the grocery store after DS's game. We plan to paint eggs also.

DS is hung about the deviled eggs sail boats so I hope to make them for him. I just don't know when I will make them.

The daycare is going to have a yard sale, so I have so much stuff to donate. I called the daycare yesterday and they said they don't know when they will have it. I asked them if I could start dropping off stuff and they don't have any room to store it. SO it is going to sit in our home in trash bags.

mamaturtle, my LO is wanting to see Ninjago too. It seems like it could be really different from the show in some ways, so I hope it is similar enough to still be the same at heart, if you know what I mean. LO already pointed out the characters don't really look like themselves, particularly hair styles if I recall correctly (he is fine with the more detailed graphics style about them).

I have to admit I did like watching ninjago while listening to some episodes. I sat and watched some of the episodes with DS on netflix. The voices sound like they have no emotion or whiny. Story is good though.

DS is starting to get into Nexo Knights.

I am excited to hear Jackie Chan is a voice actor in the movie. So I am hoping it is enjoyable for DS and I.
