Hey ladies! I've barely had time to be a dirty lurker this week- so much packing going on! We had new windows installed in our house Monday, so I sent lo and the cat to my parents so they weren't underfoot. I had the whole day to pack with no interruptions. It was glorious! Now I'm back to just getting what I can done during naptime. The IL'S are stopping by Saturday since we don't see them for Easter, and dh and I are planning to use that time to get more packing done. We have a week and a half until we move to my parents and 2 more weeks til closing!

We dyed eggs last night and lo loved it. He was covered in dye (along with the rest of my kitchen 😨) but he was so tickled to be "painting eggs" that it was worth it.

littlelion we're going to brunch at my aunt's house. We've done it since I was a kid, and she is a fabulous cook. And I'm with you- I keep chowing down on all our Easter chocolate.
laceysbryan temp housing is probably a good idea so you can find something you love and not have to rush. And I'm with you about being KUed and getting stuff done. I was useless the last couple weeks of my pregnancy. I was a tired, cranky slug. Thank God it was after the holidays so I'd already quit my job and could just hibernate.
raven glad you guys are getting settled into your house! Hope sleep continues to improve for your DD. How are you feeling?
kcrus yay for being almost done! So excited for you. Lo is doing well. He's quite the sassy/bossy two year old now. Hope the tonsil removal has a quick recovery and that sleep gets better for you guys! How are the rest of your kiddos doing?

As usual I've been crappy at keeping up here. We were OOT last week for Passover, got back Wednesday night, and I started back at work yesterday. I'm glad to be back but it's obviously a huge adjustment. DS is fine but DD had a hard time. I think the longest I had ever been away from her before yesterday was, like, 2.5 hours. I'm looking forward to the 3-day weekend to pile on the snuggles and kisses!

My boss has been on vacation this week so I've been fielding a lot of the usual BS that he gets. Needless to say, I'm ready for the weekend! I'm not paid nearly enough to deal with this amount of ridiculousness. On another note, I'll be telling him next week that I'm preggers (I'll be 11 weeks). I have no idea how he's going to react. Our organization is kind of in a financial crisis so it's a stressful time. I don't want to add to it, but I want him to know in case #2 goes in the same direction as grumpy kitten with the annoying PTL starting after 20 weeks.

We actually saw a whale off the coast so that was really cool. I didn't get a good picture of it though.

Yesterday DC closed so I stayed home with the kids. It was nice. I'm a bit stressed because my family is coming to Easter lunch at my place and there's so much cleaning to be done. And dh is still working overtime. Plus as I clean up one area, Leo makes another mess elsewhere. We've already gone to the grocery store this morning. I'm about to start baking some shortbread cookies. And hopefully convince Leo to go outside for awhile. It's gonna be hot today! 80°!

Here is a great moment I caught last night. Alex is paying much more attention to Leo and Leo likes talking to him (told him all about his owies).

littlelion good luck hosting tomorrow! Lo does the same thing to me as I'm packing. I'm putting things in the box and he's taking them out right behind me. Lol That's such a sweet picture! Is Leo getting along with Alex better?

It has been absolutely gorgeous the past couple days. Yesterday we went to the zoo. They put on a whole bunny themed day for the kids. It was crazy packed but lo had fun. We spent the rest of the day and all afternoon today playing outside. Lo has been into playing "Easter egg hunt" where I basically toss plastic eggs all over the yard and he collects them all. We even got a family bike ride in today.

Late night FFSC: I set out lo's Easter basket and I realized I totally went overboard this year. Somehow some Easter candy and a book turned into Easter candy plus bunch of books, and some toys. I blame Amazon Prime for making it too easy to shop.

I've been MIA for a while but wanted to check in with you ladies now that that I have a minute. Not much new here, just been busy with work and family drama. We did jump on the TTC train this month so I guess that's something new and exciting! F is loving Easter traditions this year so I'll AW some pics. Congrats to everyone finishing school, starting new jobs and buying houses... No time to tag right now! I'll be stalking the thread for an update ourcrazynavylife !

I've been a horrible J15er. Sorry guys. Family life is a sh*tstorm right now. My brother in law has made some very poor decisions recently and unfortunately has wound up doing some jail time. Lots of poor decisions, but a girl is involved that has made some false accusations. So much drama.
I hope everyone who celebrates had a great easter!

It went well.  My tacos barbacoa dish came out perfect. I was worried DH had bought way too much meat. But no, we had just enough to eat plus have some for leftovers.  I guess we're all big meat eaters. Leo had fun in the egg hunt my sister did. He had more fun later pulling apart the plastic eggs and putting them back together.
