Tackle It Tuesday! Today's the day to do that thing thing you've been putting off.
Call that plumber, mail that RSVP, email that preschool, instagram that best friend who is trying to promote her mom blog, Snapchat your aunt Mildred, vine your review of a new trash compactor, send mental vibes to the trash company, drive to donate that box, fix that missing screw in the door, file that stack of paperwork, and call that coworker who is behind on a deadline.
I filled out my rsvp card for my cousin's wedding next month and walked it out to the mailbox. Thanks for the reminder OR.
Oh my gosh, I filled out an RSVP for a wedding this morning, too! And put it outgoing in my own mailbox. It's in June, in Chicago. I'm going by myself! With no kids!
I've actually tackled quite a few things in the last couple days. I ordered DH's father's day present since I was thinking of it and I know time will slip away during these next few busy months. I also made banners for the kiddos' birthday party. Got all the outgrown baby items stored away in the crawl space instead of taking up space all over the house.
Today I'll be tackling: A pedicure on my lunch break. Scheduling windshield chip to be filled. Schedule allergy testing for G.
Next up, A is coming home so we can both play hookey and work on the chicken coop. WE NEED A PLACE TO PUT THESE CHICKENS BECAUSE THEY'RE GROWING AT AN ALARMING RATE.
I need to research what plants would be best next to a headstone. A's mom has evergreen shrubs which need to be removed (they're huge). I want to put in a perennial which will die back every fall and grow every spring. But I have a feeling his aunts will want a year round shrub. Meh.
I need to put elastics in the diapers I removed them from last night (I've been putting the whole task off) I also need to deal with the massive amount of cardboard in our garage.
I need to call a couple countertop places to get them out here for a real quote. And maybe a trip to the craft store to get more Beanie Boos for the girls' birthday party favors
I need to mail my nieces bday present this week. Last week I bought and wrapped it. I have no box and don't see this happening before Friday because work- but I can try.

I emailed a church friend that's an insurance agent to get a new quote for our home and auto insurance. I haven't dealt with it in 4 years since we bought our house and it's gone up $850. I had to call our existing company to get a copy of the current declarations and email a screenshot of our auto declarations as well.
Boom! My midday meeting ran extra long, so I'm proud of myself for finishing this. We'll see how proud I am after I actually get to take a close look at it.
And a partway shot so you can actually see the difference.
And a sprinkle shot. I got to use my baking flour throwing skills from my bread making days.
MapleMe, Can you link where you got this? We need to do this in our basement, how easy was it? And how bad does it smell?
I got the garage floor version of this: www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-203007-Basement-Floor-Gray/dp/B000OT15DI (I think that the prep is different for basement and garage). I skipped the etching stage because of time. I might regret that later, but I figure that this is better than not doing it at all. I vacuumed, sanded, vacuumed, washed and painted. Total time was probably 3-4 hours. I also took some shortcuts that I wouldn't have taken for a non-commercial space - like not trimming the edges (I'm going to have stuff along all of the walls, so I don't need it perfect). The etching phase seemed like a PITA, but you could begin and end the whole thing in a day.
I finally picked up my stupid diaper sprayer from stupid Lowes store pickup after they never notified me that it was even there. Their store pickup is the worst. But I finally have a sprayer, yay! I think the reason the old one crapped out was that it didn't have a shutoff valve and the constant water pressure probably wore out the seal.
