We're off to go visit a friend and her new baby. They live almost an hour away so we don't see them often. She hasn't met DS yet since she had a really rough pregnancy and timing never worked out.
Materials for our new roof get delivered today. They'll be out sometime this week to do the work as long as the weather holds up.
Tonight we have DD's kindergarten open house.
Anyone else's baby not able to stay awake for long after they wake up in the morning? DS doesn't last 2 hours. Its usually an hour and a half.
fem - Fx that she eats and you can enjoy lunch out!
Per the pedi's recommendation, I slathered Vick's on DS's chest last night and put two of the Vick's vapopads in the plugin thing, gave him motrin, suctioned and put saline in his nose and put the humidifier on before putting DS to bed last night and he slept a lot better than he has been. He woke up a few times, but DH was able to settle him down quickly. Hopefully the antibiotics will start kicking in today. He is a snot machine and his lungs sound so horrible. Yet, during the day he is happy as can be. How do they do that? I'd be in bed, wallowing in self-pity if I was as sick as he is. lol
The guy who is painting our house is supposed to powerwash the house later today. There is rain in the forecast for tomorrrow and then there's a chance of showers on Sunday, so hopefully that means the can actually get the house painted this week. Fingers crossed!!

Finally heard yesterday that my boss got the job he applied for. So...talked to his supervisor about my interest in his now vacant position and I have to apply today and should be interviewed very soon. I know that there are at least 3 other people in consideration but I think I am the most qualified and definitely the most familiar with the actual job, so I HOPE I get it. I'm sure I won't know for a while, but I'm excited to get the ball rolling in the process.
@ksyknelver73 GL! Have they already posted the job or is it internal?
At DH's work to show off the kiddo. In their lactation room atm feeding him. This room has its own sink, built in mini fridge and a massage chair. ._. Do want at my job.
Had my Mw appt this morning. She wants to try and get me in sooner than the 24th for another ultrasound. And I'm supposed to be betas redrawn on Thursday. She doesnt care about the number so much as to see if it's going up or down. Ive been spotting on and off all week.
My eyes have been watering for 2 days straight. Allergy meds, cold meds and eye drops haven't even slowed it down. One eye is worse than the other and I woke up with it all cruddy this morning. If I have pink eye, Im gonna hurt someone.
The little babe stopped by my office for a quick visit with my brother who is watching her today. My boss is in love. It was really nice to see her in the middle of the day.
When will the disappointment over stopping breastfeeding end? I did everything besides take meds to keep up my supply and it was never ever enough. I really wish I would have paid the money and went to a LC, but at $90 an hour it was a bit steep.

Same here for 1.5 - 2 hours in the morning before he is ready for a nap.

Hi everyone!
MH and I think G is hitting a growth spurt. He woke up at 3 to eat last night, but luckily went right back down. He woke up while I was pumping a bottle for him, but was pretty patient waiting for it. MH said he planned to have the boys outside to play since it is so nice today.

jillian try not to let the guilt get to you. Easier said than done, I know. I still have some over not BFing at all this time - it's pretty minimal, but it creeps in occasionally. Ultimately you make the best decision for you and your child, and that's all you can do.

Hope your boys feel better, jwinct and @kitchen. G is the same way; he's had a cough and the sniffles for a while now, but you would never guess that it bothered him because he's so happy. ksyknelvr73, good luck with the job! macaronmama, a massage chair sounds awesome. @snuff9861, thinking of you.. Have you had an ultrasound since you went to the ER? jillian, I hope it's not pinkeye. Hugs to you on the breastfeeding; you did great.

I just took a walk to the bakery near work, and I did not want to come back inside. It's so beautiful out. I ordered a loaf of bread for Easter that I'll have to pick up on Friday with both boys in tow. They were sampling it last week, and it was so delicious. I cannot wait to have it on Sunday.
Dd1 had preschool this am. Then we had lunch out in the yard because it's so gorgeous. My mom came by to watch the girls, so I just went for a decent walk. I need to exercise more!! It felt so good not pushing a stroller or wearing a baby, but that's not frequently possible. And of course I'm ingesting probably double the calories I just burned with a frozen chocolatey drink at a cafe. I usually would feel weird sitting here by myself not doing anything, but omg it's too glorious to care.

No. I had one booked for the 24th, but the MW wanted to get me in sooner. They cancelled that one and booked one for 3pm next wednesday. I'm at work so I'm trying to reschedule that one. This town is a joke. 5 places to get an ultrasound done and no one can get me in.

DD doesn't stay awake for usually longer than 90 minutes- 1 hr 45 and at any point throughout the day.
My mom told me that DS is already showing improvement. She said his nose isn't such a snot faucet and he's not coughing as much and he just sounds a lot better. He hasn't wanted anything to do with the jumperoo or exersaucer or anything the past few days, but today he's been happily playing wherever. Thank goodness.
Well we got pics back from the photographer so as soon as I upload them I'll add them to the pg- they were really good despite the kids being stinkers!
Also I made DS1 3 yo appointment today and ordered His birthday invites for same day pick up at Walgreens. 40 cards for $25 including tax- not bad.
@holachica how are you going about weaning? I think I'm going to start in May, but I don't know where to begin. DS was only bf'd for 2 months, and even then i was supplementing with formula. Weaning him was simple. DD is a boob fanatic, so I'm not sure how to approach this...

This sounds lovely. It also reminds me I need to plan and grocery shop for Easter dinner. A nice loaf of bread would be perfect but there are no specialty bakeries nearby. I could send DH out on Friday on his day off but I rather he spend his time working around the house than running out for a loaf of bread.
Perhaps fem has a recommendation from Panera I could try;) That's not too far out of my way.

LOL. I haven't gotten my first loaf year but I'll be happy to provide reviews when I do!
