My desk at work looks like a bomb exploded and it's stressing me TF out. Today while my classes are taking tests I'm going to pull the garbage and recycle bin over and just start tossing shit.

I think I overscheduled this weekend, but I'm still excited. We are going to go to kings island on Friday (we got gold passes for my birthday last year), Reds game on Saturday (one of the attorneys at my firm is out of town and gave me his tickets), then Easter Sunday. The gorgeous weather also has me super happy.

That sounds like a great weekend! I'm hoping we can go to a game next weekend because the Cubs will be in town, but I'm afraid it'll be harder/more expensive to get tickets than it has been the last few years. I'm trying to turn my kid into a Cubs fan and he's resisting it. He wore a cubs shirt on Monday when it was the home opener at Wrigley, and all day I kept trying to get him to say "Go Cubs go!" and he was just like "no mom." Maybe he'll take dad's side and be a White Sox fan, and I'll convert #2.
Today is DD's first day back to the sitter after 4 days of PTing. I'm nervous! She was commando and also has some weird rash from head to toe, so feeling like MOTY like, here take my hot mess child and good luck...

Normal to be nervous, but just accept the fact that (a) she'll probably have some accidents, and (b) it's not your problem. Is your sitter on board with your PT method?
PT is the worst. His teacher at daycare started a sticker chart again for DS and two other boys. I asked if he got a sticker today. He completely ignored me. Did not care.
JoBub i don't know that she's super familiar with the oh crap method of PTing. I explained it to her and she seemed fine with it, but got mixed signals about the commando situation. At first she said something about not wanting a mess, and I offered to bring underwear tomorrow, and she said no because it would just be two things wet lol. Sooo not sure. She has PTed tons of kids, most recently she did most of the legwork for a 3 year old girl so I know she knows what she's doing.

We should do a Reds game this year before it gets super hot. becole what was that area you said had more open seating? I think you posted pics last year.
I also want to figure out if it's allowed for me to request my firm's suite when no one's using it. Last fall, after the Reds were out of the running for playoffs there were a few dates that no one used it. I don't see why they would mind as long as I covered catering costs (although now that I think about it, I remember the catering packages being sort of expensive). You guys could be potential clients, right?

It's the Fioptics $15 ticket. I don't see any available for Saturday though.. there's so much going on though I might just get us two of the cheapest tickets and not even sit in our seats.
ETA: they do have Saturday tickets left! Now to just think about whether DS can handle no nap since the game is 1pm

I'm sure it'll be fine. Just take each challenge as it comes. I kept Bub home for 5 days when we started, and when he went back to DC he had an accident every day for at least 2 weeks. It stressed me out, but the teachers insisted only one accident each day was really good, and they just kept going with it. We put Pull-ups in his cubby because I felt bad, and I told them if they ever felt like he needed a pull-up, go ahead and use them, but they only used them for nap for the first couple weeks and then stopped. I don't really even know what their "system" was, but I just let them do their thing and we kept doing our thing at home, and it worked eventually.

This is what we did every time we went last year. I'm hoping this year he'll be a little more interested in watching.

We definitely want to go to a reds game this year! We went toward the end of last season and she really enjoyed it.
lindsay, I'm sure she will do fine! I'm sure she knows to ask Z often if she has to go. That's the hardest part... Making sure they don't get too busy and forget to go.
chrispy1122, you'll have to let me know how KI is friday! I wanted to go but don't think I can do the crowds. We are going to see the Easter bunny instead. I can't wait til KI is open throughout the week, cause it's so much nicer to take her on one of my off days or in the evenings instead of dealing with the weekend crowds (can you tell I don't like crowds? Lol). I'm really hoping she is tall enough to get on the 36" rides this year.

We are wanting to plan a trip to hocking hills or red river gorge for our anniversary coming up in May. I've never been to either. Has anyone else been? Any recommendations for cabins or must dos for either location (we are leaning more toward red river gorge though)?

babylove518 I don't like crowds either, but luckily the kids area has seemed pretty manageable even on the weekend. There was one ride that we had to wait awhile for last year (the haunted house one) but otherwise my kids are good with the carnival-y rides or the rollercoaster. I hope O can ride some more rides this year because he got so upset if E got to ride stuff that he couldn't ride. Let me know if you go in the evening this summer and we'll try to meet up with you!
I've heard red river gorge is so beautiful and has great hiking. No recommendations for cabins, but I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip!
I can tell you that looking back, going to KI in September 8 months pregnant with a toddler was probably a poor choice.
Yeah, I remember thinking you were crazy at the time. DS had an amazing time though, right?
Yes. He had a no nap meltdown, then passed out in his stroller, woke up, and we continued the fun. The water park was his favorite part but the water was freezing.

I'm currently pumping at home bc I forgot the freaking backflow protectors for the spectra. Ugh. I like this pump but the downside is so many parts. I'm ordering more to keep at work jic. At least I got out for a bit.
vlagroupie did you have a PISA with DD1? Do you think the Spectra is a better pump.
Yeah I had a Pisa. And I have a new Pisa my sil never used and she gave me. So I've been using both, the spectra at work and the Pisa at home. I like that the spectra is quieter. But I can't say for sure if I get better output from one over the other. I'll have to do some experiments and maybe try one one day and the other another day. I'll report back lol.
So PT at the sitter isn't going well. I think it's too hard for her with several other kids, and her daughter who co watches is sick. Apparently DD asked to go potty 9 times this morning and never actually went. And then peed on the floor. Ugh

That's tough. At least she's asking to go. But it sounds like she's asking because she wants to go and get praise and do well but maybe she doesn't understand/ isn't capable yet. I hope she gets there quickly. I came home with accident clothes most days for 3 months and said F this and put a pull up on him. I wouldn't worry too much about pee accidents but poop I was tired of cleaning.
Quick: Anyone available that would want to go to the Pump and Dump comedy show tonight at Funny Bone in Liberty Town Center? Doors open at 6, show starts at 7:30
