Hope everything goes well with your son adouces06!
Thanks @holachica! We just heard from the nurse practitioner who did the procedure, and his pressure levels were elevated (24, I think they like them around 18-19). They will send the results to his doctor, but she said that his doctor will most likely want to start him on a daily medication. We are waiting now to see him in recovery. Overall, they said the procedure went well!
Today is my Friday. Spring break for the childrens next week so it will be nice and quiet around here. I'm nervous though because daycare is closed as well and A is staying with my parents during the day. I know her sleep schedule is going to be shit next week. I don't know how daycare can get her to sleep at certain times through the day, but she never sleeps on a schedule with my parents. Well my dad anyway. He thinks she needs to be entertained anytime her eyes are open so she doesn't sleep. Hopefully my mom will put a stop to that nonsense. We were supposed to go to the beach this weekend, but the boat isn't finished and we honestly really need to get some housework done before the christening in 2 weeks. Hopefully we get there next weekend.
Got a 4 hour chunk of sleep last night. That hasn't happened in months. Sad that it made me so happy and feel somewhat less exhausted.
No plans today and it's pouring rain (even snowing in some parts of the city). Hopefully we don't all go crazy. I'll probably make some cookies with DD to keep her busy.
I spilled breastmilk all over my skirt during this morning's pumping session. The good thing is that I had a lot of milk because DS2 didn't feel like eating much this morning.

@holachica, last night, G and I were sitting in the recliner, and he dozed off. When I went to shift him, I noticed there was a wet spot on my dress and on the side of his onesie. Sure enough, the poop went up and out the top of his diaper. It went through his short sleeved onesie, long sleeved onesie, jeans, my dress, and my nursing tank I wore under my dress. Good thing he was getting a bath anyway. G was all smiles too, even with a poop covered belly. adouces06, so glad that the procedure went well. hikingmama222, yay for sleep!
Today is also my Friday. MH is starting a 48 hour shift, so the boys and I are on our own for the next two days. I managed to get everyone out the door on time and in a good mood. I sent some oatmeal for G with his bottles today, so it will be interesting to see how his eating goes at daycare. N has an Easter Egg hunt today, which he was excited about. It's beautiful today, albeit a little cooler than yesterday.

Today is DH's Friday (with tomorrow being Good Friday) and it's his last day of work for 6 months! He's stoked. The Big is at daycare. I'm supposed to go get my betas redrawn, but DD has chosen this morning to epically nap. And since my life is governed by the bus schedule (did I mention I don't drive), it's going to be like early afternoon before I get down there.
I have SO much cleaning to do around the house before I go back to work on Wednesday. I've felt like crap every day for a week. At least DH will be home so I can do stuff uninterrupted in bursts when I feel better.
DD has a cold and she woke up around midnight and wouldn't settle. Fed her and rocked her a bit in the rocker. She woke up on and off all night but didn't eat again. We haven't had an overnight feed in like 2 months. Poor baby is so tired.

Thanks for the reminder that DS2 spit up on me while nursing him at daycare this morning. Should probably wipe that off my shirt before too many people notice. I'm sure they are used to milk and spit up stains by now though. It's just become part of my wardrobe these days.

That reminds me I need to put the ham I bought into the freezer. The supermarket I shop at does a promotion for Easter that if you spend $400 in a given time frame, you can get a ham either discounted or free. I bought a spiral ham on Sunday with the intention of taking it to my mother's for Easter dinner. She told me yesterday that she is planning to buy her own ham because she likes the leftovers. Okay, that works. I just hope I can take some home as well.
I brought leftovers for lunch, but I don't want them. I think I'll take a walk at lunch and get something from the deli near work. It will be nice to get some fresh air too.

Crazy day at work, meetings and interviews (not my actual interview, others for an open position in our group that I am sitting in on). I am just now logging on for the first time today. Shoveled my lunch into my face and getting ready for a full afternoon. At least it makes the day go by quickly!
DS2 has his egg hunt and Easter party today at school, I managed to get a cute pic of him this morning. Daycare told me that DD was SO HAPPY with the Easter bunny yesterday and was smiling and laughing the whole time. I can't wait to see the pictures! I think we get them tomorrow.
DH is almost done with his regular season of baseball - he does have summer baseball but it's a MUCH more limited schedule and only lasts about 3 weeks. He did find out yesterday though that if they make the playoffs (they are probably going to), the games will be April 28th and 29th and the 29th is my birthday, so I will be REALLY bummed if he is coaching all day. They have 2 games on the 28th and if they win or lose BOTH games, they won't have anything on my birthday - so....I'm hoping one of those scenarios happen. Obviously I'd prefer they win both and advance, because it's good for his job, but at this point I will take whatever I can get for baseball to be over.

I did a grocery store run on my lunch break. Got some eggs and treats for the bigs class. They are not having a party. Plus a turkey and potatoes for dinner Sunday. And beer cheese dip that I'm eating with pretzels. Today we talk about food. Lol.
We are home. DS was an angry little dude coming out of anesthesia. He has been ok since then. His Tylenol is wearing off, so I think he is starting to get a headache (which is expected after getting a spinal tap). I just gave him another dose of Tylenol and put him down for a nap, so hopefully that will help. I'll probably continue his pain relief regimen today, and then see what tomorrow brings. Now if only my headache would go away... ugh.
adouces06 sorry for the stressful day!! I'm glad it's over and I hope DS wakes up well. I've been doing lots around the house during preschool and nap breaks. Dd2 is still having trouble with bowel movements despite trying to give her only pears prunes peas and peaches. And some water and prune juice. I can't have another poop holder. Spam me all your constipation thoughts/tips please. Im considering stopping solids altogether for a couple weeks. I mean some babies havent even started solids at this point yet.

Getting my hair done currently. I worked a half day and had intended to go get a pedi but ended up working longer than I should have so no pedi I also skipped lunch and am soooooo hungry! All this good talk is killing me.
sanibel21 is DD2 unhappy to not be pooping? You may have said this before and I'm not remembering. Or when you say she's having trouble is she straining? It's so miserable when they want to go but can't. We did a lot of leg bicycling with #1 when she had issues. With #2 I'm definitely noticing the solids affecting her stool but no constipation yet. She only goes every 4-5 days though.
vavavictoria I think I would faint if I didn't eat lunch. I feel woozy if I miss my morning snack!
Good day today. Played outside at home with the girls this morning, had therapy then got lunch with DH before I got the girls from daycare. Then we met friends at the 'bouncy place' (Monkey Joe's).
Now we just need to scramble and clean before my in-laws get here tomorrow. DH deep cleaned a few rooms on his day off yesterday but didn't pick up the rest of the house.

She's just getting out tiny dry but not rock hard poops. When it gets less and less I've given her suppositories and tons come out. She's not that unhappy. But I let this go too long with dd1 and now she holds in every urge to poop and I can only her poop out with multiple laxatives.

Poor baby. That is tough. It's crazy that the poop holding habits start as early as this. Babies/toddlers really like to stress us out. I'm with kitchen then on the no applesauce or bananas team. I hope you figure out something that works reliably.
Like all grains? Bread pasta oatmeal everything? Does she never eat grains?
She does now, but she didn't for a long time (like a year-ish?). None. We re-introduced whole grains once everything was under control. She does fine now with oats (rolled oats, not minute oats or instant oatmeal) and whole wheat bread regularly and more processed grains less frequently.
Whole grains with lots of fiber are much less likely to cause a problem in that department than something like rice cereal or instant oatmeal.
Thank you for that info. We stopped all cereal on dd2. I was actually more curious about your statement for my dd1. I try not to give her too much "dry food," but when does, she does eat some whole wheat bread and whole wheat pasta and brown rice. I was wondering if even that was too much.
