At the very end of the day, as I was leaving work, I got a call that BH was running a fever. Convenient. It means he can't be at school at all today so I have to work from home.
Tuesday night he slept on the way home from the seder at my mom's house, waking up when we got home and refusing to go back to sleep until 1am. I have a feeling his "fever" is related to that and lack of sleep/over-exertion. He slept better last night than he has in months, he isn't running a fever this morning, and he seems like he feels fantastic.
On the plus side, it means I have the day to get ready for all the people coming over tomorrow night for dinner. On the minus side, it means I get to bring him to my waxing appointment this morning.
DS has preschool this morning, H has work today, I have a meeting tonight, then everyone is off tomorrow for Good Friday and all of next week for spring break! Weehoo!
Good morning! DS is at school and LO is home with H.
It's finally warm enough here to start using my Ergo again. Is anyone else still using theirs? I practiced the back carry yesterday afternoon and LO loved it, but my stomach...oh boy. I need to get one of those comfort cover things. Anyone have one?

We have a Tula but yes, she loves to be carried in it! We mostly use front carry because I also hate the way my stomach looks when she's in back carry! I've never heard of a comfort cover though. Very curious!

That's exactly my problem. I heard somewhere there were covers to put over the strap to make it more comfortable and get rid of the muffin top look. Which I desperately need. I thought maybe Ergo sold one, but they don't. I found this website that seems to be pretty reputable. There are also some youtube videos showing how they work. I really want to order one, I'm thinking of posting on parenting or baby wearing to see reviews. www.comfortcarry.com/
veggiemo I'm definitely still wearing Gianna in the Tula regularly, but I mostly front carry for the cuddles. I have read in the Tula FB group that the comfort tummy works great though!

Good to know, thanks! I agree about the front cuddles, and my LO is still super bald so he gets lots of head rubs. But we were at a parade over the weekend and he was excited and kept kicking my arms when he would swing his legs. That's my main reason for wanting to try out the back carry, it just gets him out of the way a little bit.
This week has been a bit stressful at work so I'm really looking forward to today being over and sleeping in tomorrow!
Tomorrow night we're having a girls night in at my cousin's house and my brother's girlfriend is teaching us how to make candles. Saturday we're going to an Easter Breakfast and Egg Hunt at a local park and then heading to H's sister's house for our nephew's birthday. Sunday will just be church and then probably brunch out a restaurant.

DS woke up last night around 10, just as I was falling asleep, and I didn't get to fall asleep until about 11:30 thanks to that. Then around 5 he woke up again just whining. My alarm goes off at 5:30. I'm tired, and the line at Starbucks this morning was wrapped around the damn store, so I passed, and now I'm regretting that. On the plus side, H has tomorrow off so we'll get a three-day weekend as a family. No plans tomorrow other than baseline monitoring and pre-op visit for me in the morning, and then I'm thinking a family trip to the zoo or museum might be on tap depending on the weather. The rest of the weekend will be filled with egg hunts, Easter prep, and lots of food and family!

Lazy snowy day in the mountains here! I'm drinking mimosas while the girls nap, and then we'll head out to explore.
Total AW: yesterday we went to the "castle" AKA fancy hotel here to take photos of DD1, who requests that we now refer to her as "Princess Belle" at all times.
Nothing new here. I went to bed at 9 so I had a full night's sleep but still feel groggy.
I also registered for an online course on Childhood Apraxia of Speech, because it was 50% off and because I think M might have it, even though I accrued my 30 hours for my 3-year professional development interval period.

carrots good for you for putting yourself out there! Good mom friends are hard to come by! I just joined a local playgroup FB page and an excited to attend our first event. We'll see how it goes...

Still use my mei tai in a high back carry. Since it ties, that carry goes right under your breasts, above your stomach.
We've been grocery shopping and now O is napping. The windows are open and I'm catching up on Spring Baking Championship. Nothing else planned for today. Oh spring break, I love you.
I think I'll be making my Easter breakfast pies tomorrow, Kristykristyleelee. I'll let you know how they turn out. I told DH what was in them and he was super excited.

Actually I've noticed some of the girls wearing even their Ergos right under the breasts. That's still not going to be a good look for me.
Also have you heard how Stride Rite is closing most of its stores? I have loved their shoes so I went to the mall the other day and bought 12 pairs of shoes. H thinks I'm nuts but the kids will always need shoes, so why not get them at a huge discount?

Hi! I was at work for 13 hours yesterday. J was still awake when I got home too, even though he was woken up around 630-645am.
veggiemo and anyone else doing back carries, I've seen a video from Wrap You In Love that shows you a way to basically convert an SSC into an onbu. I haven't tried it myself yet though, so I'm not sure how easy it actually is or anything.

Well either my kid is sick or someone traded him out with the upgraded version last night. During my appointment he sat nicely in a chair playing with some lacing beads and chattered away, telling us about all the different shapes.
He deconstructed his PB&J and licked all the peanut butter off before eating that side of matzah. He is currently working on licking the jelly off the other side.

I hadn't heard this, but now I'll have to see if my local store is going out of business. Thanks for the heads up!
They closed down the one in the mall by me. I wonder if they'll still be available on Zappos...

Interesting! I just found it and watched it. I'm wondering how my large boobs would do with that, but hers are pretty big and it looks ok. I'd like to try it just to see but I'm imagining it's not as comfortable as getting the comfort band and wearing it normally.

Yeah, the one in our mall closed about a year ago. DS switched over to Keens after they closed and I'm loving them. I highly recommend them. The sandals and the tennis shoes are both great and hold up amazingly well.

One local store closed last year, but then a brand new one opened about 15 minutes away. When the store got close to being sold out, all their shoes were 75% off...I have bought shoes for DD all the way through size 7 (when she was only in a 3) because they were such fantastic prices.
Ugh. I actually remembered to set the DVR to tape Grey's while I did bedtime with V so that I could watch it tonight and not have to wait until tomorrow when it's released on the app. I had planned to watch after H went to bed with some wine and chocolate since I have tomorrow off.
H stopped the recording and deleted it about 20 minutes in because he "didn't think I watched it anymore", which I just found out when I went to watch it.
I am super bummed because I was so looking forward to this all evening, and I'm trying so hard not to be more frustrated and upset than the situation warrants.
Not cool, Mr. Budders. I hope you found something else to watch instead to enjoy your wine and chocolate with.
