Oh and this is truly random but has anyone seen Moana? INSTANT FAVORITE MOVIE I saw it last week and had to hide my tears like 40 times because we were with the ILs and I didn't want them to judge.
mosdub, omg yes. I had them during pregnancy, from the late 20 weeks on and it was so so not fun and when I told a pregnant nurse friend I took a mirror to it she said "omg don't look at that!" because it was so sad and awful looking. Mine went away almost immediately after dd was born though. Basically as soon as all the weight was off my veins it fixed itself. My Dr did say that if I wanted more kids to "get it fixed" (idk how you do that) between pregnancies because it tends to get worse each time. Sorry I'm not much help but that was my experience. I hope it goes away for you asap!

If its anything like the surgey for them in your legs....they cut the vein on both ends and remove it.

mosdubkaits8 there are vericose vein specialists who remove/cauterize/etc. Usually it's on legs, I think, but they aren't crazy rare during or after pregnancy.
cosmicav, we watched Moana at the end of my pregnancy and I both laughed out loud a ton and cried. Great movie. Also, my DS turns 2 this week as well (next Saturday) and I'm in denial. I know I have another baby now but he's my baby!

*sudders*
Ugh, I'm pretty sure if that's the case I will have zero veins left because mine were nasty and EVERYWHERE. Hopefully we are done having kids like we currently say we are and I don't have to worry about them ever again..
+1 to all of this. Even the guilt. I wish I had more time to help out by typing troubleshooting and cheerleading posts to those who are struggling. Know that I'm reading and cheering you on even when I can't post. Hopefully life settles down here and I can be more active again soon!
Exactly. I come here for support, but don't feel like I can offer my fair share in return.
You two (@justinslovo and @amc25) are two of the most supportive women on the board. You both helped me so much during pregnancy, and I know you helped others! Be easy on yourselves. Everyone has periods where they can post less. You both have a lot of littles! Take care of them, and yourself first, and don't feel guilty about it! Hugs to you both!

I too find it hard to post. Life is crazy with two. Man oh man. I was able to run to target and grocery shop today thankfully. I forgot how hard it was to leave the house with a newborn. They are portable once out but it takes forever to leave! I give so much credit for those who are triple feeding. We did it for about two weeks almost and it wasn't working out so now I'm pumping and supplementing which pumping is so hard to do every 2-3 hours.

I find myself doing more love-titting and asking for help with my own situations than replying and helping others at times. But we all have our moments! We're all here for each other! Hugs!

I just needed to say something about it lol.
We LOVE this movie here too! One of the twins instantly memorized all the songs and walks around saying "I am moana of montanui, you will board my boat, sail across the sea and restore the heart of ta fiti!" Plus we first watched it right before I gave birth and the music was on my hospital playlist so it gives me all the feels. Seriously an amazing movie 🎥 (I also tear up through most the movie)

I thought it was going to be a case of another overhyped movie but omg it truly was so good.

I'm present, but feel like I'm bad at being supportive to those having troubles. My presence makes me feel guilty because I feel like I'm ignoring my big kid.
Basically, we are all going to feel guilty no matter what we do lol. Welcome to motherhood everybody!

I'm out of the house to pick up dinner so DH can try again at feeding DD. I gave him the smallest portion of milk in the fridge since I'm pretty sure this will fail and I hate to waste it. I'd like him to succeed though.
I called the OB office after getting really emotional about this (part hormones I'm sure) and they said that the varicose veins are common after delivery and to give it more time to go away. She said I can take motrin/tylenol and ice it for relief. I am relieved to hear they CAN go away, but concerned because I'm 8 days postpartum and it seems like the problem is only NOW developing. Really hoping they subside and disappear because they look and feel terrible.

Bottle feeding not a success - came home to screaming baby and frustrated DH. I'm going to ask the LC on Tuesday and the pedi on Thursday because I'm out of ideas. She doesn't latch on it at all - she's just like ugh what's this plastic thing.
TMI toddler story: DH was giving DS a bath when I hear DS crying. I went upstairs and DS was crying and saying "a yucky, a yucky." He had pooped in the tub (twice) and was totally traumatized by it, poor kid. DH and I were trying to contain our laughter while consoling him. So gross but so funny.
I'm sorry glb30. It is not easy dealing with people and I have gone through periods losing my shit with everyone (except baby) too. Hopefully it gets better!
We had easter dinner with my in laws. First visit out of the house and it was pretty successful. DS is always fussy after eating but did calm down after a good poop and some farts.
Now he is sleeping soundly in his crib while I'm in my nursery bed. Let's hope we can get a few hours in now.

Maybe try a different brand of bottle? I've heard that some people have to experiment with a few different kinds if their baby is picky.
We've tried 4 so far. I'll end up ordering a pricey one and she'll love those, I'm sure lol
