So when they don't smell dry but as soon as she pees. That's more rinses needed? Cuz we are already using minimal detergent (tide) and rinsing at least 2x extra. It's getting annoying.
Ammonia? Try ditching the tide. Persil is where it's at these days.
Can I get that at market basket? Cuz I'm lazy. And use for clothes too?
I'm honestly not sure. I find the liquid in lots of places but the powder so far only at walmart and sometimes amazon or target online. I ordered 3 packs from Walmart online last time and it came in 2 days.
And yes, I use it for everything now. I found the scent too strong when I first got it, but I couldn't smell it on the clothes and now it doesn't bother me. Use about half of what you're using or Tide with diapers (2 tbsp tide for me, 1 tbsp Persil).
I got smelling on peed-in diapers from Tide. Tide just didn't rinse clean enough, so it was leaving something behind and that got smelly when it got wet. Ditto to all that Brandie said about Persil. We get ours from either Target online or Amazon.
Maybe check to make sure she's hydrated enough. Pip recently had a round where I would have sworn there was something wrong with my cloth diapers because his pee was strong in the mornings. The problem with that was that I had been putting him in disposables randomly at night and it happened just as often in dd as cd I got him drinking that little bit more and urine stink is better.

Exactly. Tide was either stinky from not enough detergent or ammonia and tons of suds. No in between. It worked for over a year until it didn't. Frustrating.

I think my sister may be on same or similar water supply as you -- and I think she's using Tide also, but adds Borax. Not my first choice in water softeners, but I guess it's convenient for them and it has been working.

So, maybe try adding a softener?
No mines not hard. We are on local water. I'll try Persil. Amazon is good!
