We put raisins and pretzels in Henry's plastic eggs this weekend. I would love to give him candy, but he can't emotionally handle it when it's "all gone!" I'm going to run out today for some Cadbury eggs for myself though.
I think I'm going to get a peel or microdermabrasion before I go back to work. I actually really want Botox again, but I'm not sure while nursing. Dr. Hale/infant risk says it's fine, but the rest of the Internet says no way. I feel very FFFC that I'm even considering it. I shouldn't be so vain. On that note, if anyone has had a peel or microdermabrasion, which is better?!?!
My husband told me last night that they hunted REAL EGGS as a kid. They decorated them an then the next day they hunted them. AND THEN THEY ATE THEM!!
What is this horrific madness?!?!
I said, "how long were they outside?!" They were at the very least inside-only, but the question of how long hard-boiled eggs were left at room temperature before being consumed could not be answered.
I forgot to take my Diclegis last night. I regret that. I've thrown up twice and been nauseous all day. 20w5d...apparently I'll just be on this for the whole pregnancy.
Can you take one now? I used to take two at night but would also add in one during the day if I needed it. It's worth it to be a little sleepy if you can eat!
EmMilAlly - I would be more likely to opt for Botox than a peel, because the peel seems like a lot of pain for not a lot of improvement. Everyone I know who has had good Botox looks amazing, like they had a string of really good nights' sleep or a restful vacation. I have Botox envy/interest.
I am also not what I would consider a vain person, so I don't think it's a vain thing to consider. You're also mid-30s, right? We just want to look fresh-faced and well rested again, dangit!

I was going to say it's not vain, and I am totally considering Botox, but then I remembered I am vain af, so I'm not the best to determine that.

Woohoo! First day of vacation here! I picked up my Rx, picked up my year supply of contact lenses, cleaned the bathroom and cleaned the kitchen all before 11:30am! DH is on his way back from his work trip and then he is on vacation with us! We are most likely going to the White Mountains for a few days this week. I am so excited!
I took all 3 kids and went shopping with my mom this morning. It's our tradition to do spring shopping on Good Friday. But man what a shit show with 3 kids! Who even knows what we bought.
I'm glad to see that hard boiled eggs are the norm. I still hide them for my kids. I think the ridiculous amount of candy is more likely to make them sick than the egg but what do I know.
@officedronette yl Botox is amazing!!! You should totally try it. The reason I'm feeling vain is that I'm considering getting it while nursing. I called the infant risk line at UT run by Dr. Hale and they said it's fine because it does not enter the mother's plasma or milk. But the actual manufacturer says not to use while breastfeeding or pregnant.
lonegalathome omg. Did you just spray them down with Lysol from 10 feet away? I would not know where to begin cleaning up after a squirrel carcass encounter.
EmMilAlly I feel like everything says not to use while nursing or pregnant. IMO, the manufacturer just doesn't want to figure out if it's safe or not, so they say don't use it so you can't sue them if something were to happen.

This is what we always did at my one set of grandparents. Only ours were hidden outside. I don't think they were left outside for long, though. They always hid them and we found them within 30 minutes. ETA, I see this has been covered...

I used to be a fan of IPL facials. I'd probably go with a peel over microdermabrasion because I feel like the results last longer.
For my birthday this year I'm getting myself Botox. I don't care if it's vain or people think I'm crazy, I just want to look like I've had a decent nights sleep.

I took Bill to a marionette puppet show this morning and he really loved it... but then they had a bird puppet (a crow) and I was like "please please please don't bring that puppet near my kid" and of course (OF COURSE!) they bring the bird over and have it sit right in Bill's lap. He was actually pretty brave about it but after the show I tried to take him up to the puppet to see that it wasn't real and he totally lost it. man, this kid hates birds! I keep trying to take a break from them but there's just no escape.
Is there like a primer somewhere for facial procedures? I saw someone comment on a makeup thread the other day that fillers made her not need undereye concealer. I need that.
I wanted to start running because I feel like I was kind of plateauing with barre. At forevermorgan's suggestion I started doing C25k....I thought I was a pretty fit person....
Spoiler alert... I'm not. I just finished week 4 where you have to run 5 minutes at a time and it just about killed me. Next week I have to do 8 minutes at a time and I have no idea how I'm going to survive.
You can repeat a week, if the next level is going to make you hate running and not want to continue. Or just a day or a couple of days, whatever.

cornpop311 I was good at running before my diagnosis. Now it is harder because I constantly want to monitor my blood sugar.
But I had not run in four weeks because I was not feeling well or dh was out of town. I started this week again. It was rough. The first day I could not run a full mile but it is coming back to me quickly.

A friend of mine is a RN at a plastic surgeon's office and is waiting to get Botox herself until she is done nursing due to the risk.

Repeat a day or two or even a week if you need it. I did C25K after DD2 was born and it took me more like 8 weeks than 6.
cornpop311, I wouldn't stress about a thank-you that much since you don't know who it was and it was probably good for her to have someone to unload those clothes onto. No idea what your neighorhood is like and if you are likely to see her randomly again while y'all are playing outside, but if you think it's a possibility you could have a little thank you card and/or small gift on hand to grab and give to her if she passes by again. But, I'm awful at thank-you cards...so I probably wouldn't get around to anything at all.
