lfigge little Petey is back home and still alive. For now. His vet gave him a few weeks to months left. When Carter heard me tell adam this he cried so hard. My kids are going to be so so sad. But I'm grateful it didn't happen here. That must have been rough. Sorry that happened to you.
Totally unrelated but I know someone here was giving melatonin to help their kid go to bed at night. We tried it and omg. That stuff is amazing! I can't remember who used it but how long did you use it for? We've been using it about 5 nights in a row but I can already see Millie start to get sleepy at 730. I'm thinking we can start to ease off it soon?
I know this may get a wide range of answers, but how much do you spend on Easter basket stuff? I just went and got stuff for S...I spent $40 on some candy, 2 pairs of sandals, a ball, and an Elsa toy. I don't want to go too cheap, but also don't want to over do it.
I spent less than $20 but V isn't really into "stuff" or character things. His basket has a Petter Cottontail book, some whistles/noisemakers, a bunny ring toss game, new markers, new paint set and some carrot-shaped football things. I also bought plastic eggs and chocolates to fill them with.

tgrimes1980 mh said something about a golf game with his dad tomorrow, so we won't get to stop in Houston. Cadence and I will make a special trip this summer.
I'm sorry about illness and snow. It's the perfect spring day here - it's only in the 60s but it's sunny.
I took a 2+ hour run after dropping the boys off, then DH found a potential rental in MV for our summer vacation before taking me for lunch. Then we went shopping for Easter basket stuff ($50 and still more to go) and I ran into a former coworker who I haven't seen in ages. DH even paid because I was so busy chatting. Then I had my hair cut and we discussed options for my hair in the fall. I actually admitted that I didn't love my high lights - too stripey. I'm so nonconfrontational that I wasn't sure what to say but it was fine and we're going to try something else in October.
Anyhow now some poor girl is trying to clean up my disasterous feet and is in for a very generous tip. The embarrassing parts of being a runner.
Lovely, but my back got burned yesterday And today we saw a pelican with two fishing hooks in him. I, of course, tried to coax him over to me with chips so I could help, but he grabbed the chip and ran.
Sounds like a good day JoeLies what did you get for the Easter baskets? What color are your toes?
We got Colin Goldfish, fruit snacks, some candy, a coloring book, bubbles, some weird wind up egg toy, and I still want to get him a chick. Chase got a book, yogurt melts, a few other little snack-y things and he needs a bunny or chick, too. We also bought ourselves candy because there were no adults around to tell us no. LOL.
My toes will eventually be light blue but it takes excessive prep time when your feet look like mine.
Oh and poor Colin - he pooped twice before bed but woke up with more in his pull-up. He was so upset but I cut DH off before he could give him a hard time, and reminded them both that accidents happen and that Colin has been doing everything right. Everyone survived, imagine that!
You guys, the pedi weighed V a few days ago when we were in getting drops for his pink eye. He's 39 lbs. I almost fell off my f-ing chair. This is why I am so over the poop in the pants, he's just too big for me to be cleaning up that mess. You guys feel me on that?
My friend just found out her daughter has to get her feeding tube put back in.. I want to send her something to cheer her up. She's totally non materialistic and not the spa/spoil type. Hates chocolate. Ideas?
ETA and she's a total hermit and barely leaves her house.
Does she have a garden? She might like a flowering plant?
I like this mug/tea idea. I had friends do something similar for me a few years ago, I still use that mug every morning. It has an "inspirational" message on it.

I hear ya.
Atticus is 39 pounds also and when he has an accident, whoa. Plus, vegan. I should probably call Guinness.

I think I spent around $30 for M. I got him a set of wooden puzzles and a bath toy, bubbles, and a few treats. I have my plastic eggs, grass, etc from previous years. After Sunday when they reduce everything, I need to stock up on more plastic eggs and grass for the baskets. Hoping to find more decor for next year, too.

I wish I could have seen your pic cagoldi. Were you really orange? I tried the Tumeric/ coconut oil teeth whitening mix and turned my toothbrush yellow. I guess I should have gotten a cheapo toothbrush to do that with. After doing it a few days, I quit because I didn't think it was working.
Re: Easter baskets, probably spent around $40-50 each. I re-use baskets, but did buy some fresh grass.
For B: Swim trunks and rash guard, sunglasses, new book, foam numbers/letters set for the tub
For C: swimsuit, towel, sunglasses, new book
My mom, 2 aunts and my sister are all doing gifts so I'm sure we'll be swimming in Easter candy by Sunday evening. MIL gave them monogrammed beach towels and some edible treats. It's probably a bit excessive, my kids are going to think Easter is Christmas, part II.
We got our shopping done and hung out at my parents' afterwards until it was time to go eat. DH was still feeling a bit off so ended up staying home, hopefully he'll be closer to 100% tomorrow.
We got ice cream after dinner so B is nice and sugared up. I, on the other hand, might pass out while putting the baby down.
How do you guys give the easter baskets? Are they from the easter bunny or just from you? We've always done from the easter bunny and growing up the easter bunny would hide our baskets throughout the house and we'd wake up and search for them. I loved it. I was thinking of doing that with n this year.
N is getting: Moana and trolls dvds Trolls coloring book Minnie puzzle And I'll probably regift some of the candy haul she'll get from my parents so she can have some candy in eggs but I don't want to buy any.
H is getting: Sunglasses Board books Pouches Beanie boo Lovey blanket to keep at daycare

Same here! Baskets were hidden and from the Easter bunny. My parents didn't give us any extra gifts from them. We'll do the same.
guster, I toss the grass and buy new the next year. I'm not great at storing and organizing stuff.
I never take the grass out and just reuse it. If they get rougher on the baskets, that will change. I just stuffed a bunch of eggs so I feel accomplished.
Growing up, our parents hid our baskets. They were always all candy, no gifts. And my parents never gave us anything when we believed in the Easter Bunny, but they didn't at Christmas either. It never struck me as weird that our parents didn't get us gifts at Christmas, LOL.
