erinshelley21 Thank you SO SO much! Teledoc confirmed that it sounds like thrush, but I can't venture out to the pharmacy during naptime as I am soloing today. I think we have all of the components of this in our ridiculously packed linen closet!
. Do you have a local mom's listserv/fb group you can post to? On our neighborhood group, folks are always asking for help with specific carriers and someone usually comes to the rescue and meets up with the Mom for a tutorial. I've helped a few times by helping people try out my carrier stash/give advice.
In other news, my SIL had her baby 3.5 weeks early yesterday, so H is driving 2hrs to go deliver back her swing and a bunch of stuff DS2 has outgrown. I'm excited that DS2 and my nephew will be so close in age. DS1 and her older son are a year apart and aren't ready to really play together yet.
. I have a lillebaby and watched YouTube videos to figure it out in the mirror. Pretty sure I practiced with a doll. The big thing for me is getting the straps adjusted and then I really like the carrier. Perhaps your DH can help get it situated the first time. We just used ours this morning with DS.
Easter egg hunt and volleyball game were this morning. Some of the parents at the hunt were nuts, grabbing eggs that kids were going after. Everyone got a goody bag so it didn't matter how many eggs you got anyway. We ran into some kids from daycare so that was nice for DD. A successful outing with the kids.

We're having some friends over to meet the baby. It was easy when she was super tiny because she slept all the time and could be passed around. Now I'm not sure what she'll do. If she's happy being awake, then she'll be fine. But if she's asleep or wanting to eat, it'll be unfortunate. Oh well. It got us to clean up the house, which is good.
We're on the train with the baby! Baby's first train ride.
After yelling at my husband for not spending enough time with the baby, we're having a fun little day as a family. We've been to the gym, and farmers market and now headed to a new whiskey bar/small plates restaurant getting great reviews. We training it bc we live next to the train station, and I'm scared to drive with the baby even after just a drink, particularly a whiskey drink.
Super easy! I just put it on the opposite side and squeeze to get suction. It stays in place pretty well with me just sitting there and collects 1-2 ounces while she nurses on the opposite side. Way easier than I imagined actually.
The nurse seems to think we're ok for now. I probably won't feel confident until we get past the 6 week mark with him though. She said unless it's primarily mucus or green we're most likely ok. Fingers crossed! And we had a great morning. Took the kiddos to brunch then went shopping for Easter basket stuff (yeah I'm a little last minute). E is napping so I showered, bathed M, and now I'm snuggling a clean baby on the couch with DH watching soccer. Once E is up we're dying Easter eggs, maybe going for a walk to the local park and then DH is cooking dinner out of a new Cuban cookbook he got. Probably wine too with dinner? Nice little Saturday overall!

I have the Haakaa silicone pump & I love it! Just got my second one (larger with suction base) in mail. I haven't pumped while nursing but I have suctioned it on to reduce engorgement and walked around the house so pretty hands free. Other perk: Dishwasher safe but easy to clean by hand if needed.

Oh and I learned that there's a baby wearing meeting on Monday about 45 mins away. I'll try to get there with A and our carrier.
I know my carrier has two infant/newborn ways to carry, so I'll get their advice on which one she is a better size for
Oh good, hopefully they can help you out with it! It's so hard when some carriers are marketed for infants and you just never know how it will fit them
The talk of the silicone pumps and convinced me to buy one! I'm not planning on starting building my freezer stash until 6-8+ weeks so this will help me not waste so much milk until then!
I started talking to a mom almost due with twins at the grocery store. She informed me she has an 11 month old at home as well.
Thoughts and prayers lady, thoughts and prayers.
🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Like, it threw me off so bad. Pretty sure she could tell I was blown away. She said the 11 month old was her first so I feel like she can't really comprehend the storm coming her way. Lol
She did tell me her sister was coming to live with her for a while.
But seriously, just so much whoa nelly to three under one. 3 under 1 guys. That's crazy.

I want to cry for her. I hope they are the easiest babies ever.
Lol me too. I hope they just poop, sleep and eat until about 4 months.

FFC- I'd be ecstatic if I found out I was pregnant right now. Not going to happen bc I'm breastfeeding, but I'd love 2 under 1. 3 under 1 sounds a little scary, admittedly.
A few of my friends are doing night nurses with their second kids and/or multiples. Doesn't that almost make the newborn stage sound....sweet and easy....

Breastfeeding doesn't equal birth control 😉😉😉😉😉
Right?! I didn't think so either, but my OB told me that at my 6 week appointment. I said I didn't want to go on BCP bc they always messed with my head a bit, and added that since it took 4 years for us to have a live birth, and I'm 34, I wanted to try again soon anyway. She said it'd be safe for me to eat pregnant 6 months after birth, and I didn't really have to worry about it if I kept breastfeeding!

...and expensive...
But definitely easier
I haven't even looked into the cost. Just SOUNDS too expensive lol. I also worry about the whole bonding thing. I have no clue, but it seems like the way J and I bond is through me feeding and changing her. At all hours of day. 😂

Those using silicone pumps...silly question because I know they're not actual pumps but...can I still nurse on the boob that the pump was on right after nursing the other boob? Like, it's not going to empty a boob right? Just collects what leaks?

On my first BMB, one of our mods had twins in Feb15 and then found out that she was pregnant when she was in her THIRD TRIMESTER in November15. Basically she got pregnant when her twins were like 6 weeks old or so. She had her third child in Jan16.

Here's where I share my parents horror(I'm joking I promise) story of my brothers that are 9 months and 29 days apart.

I just see this post and I'm sorry if what I said seems insensitive. I really didn't mean it that way. I was just goofung around.
