Easter egg hunt with H's side of the family today, dinner with his parents at night. We're hosting easter tomorrow at our house so getting some last minute cleaning done this morning.
I went out to dinner with friends last night and we had a fabulous time! So nice to have some time to recharge:)
Today we're finishing cleaning up for hosting dinner tomorrow. Tomorrow morning is breakfast at the ILs, church, then home for nap/making dinner. So far today O is fever free. Fx it lasts because he can't go into nursery at church if he's had a fever in the last 24 hrs. They obviously aren't strict about it but he goes in the baby room and I don't want him sharing germs with little ones.
One of my favorite friends had her rainbow baby yesterday!!!!! She had secondary infertility issues. I'm so excited for her and ready to squish that baby while watching our toddlers and letting her sleep.
Around, but barely all week. Probably the same this weekend. My mom thinks it's a great idea to have DH and I host Easter because we have a bigger yard for an egg hunt. Trying to get everything cleaned and ready with C is nearly impossible. Today is more cleaning, printing paperwork for our accountant, picking up the ham from the butchers shop, working at the expo, and bank all before nap time. This afternoon more cleaning/prep work, planting some flowers that came in, and then DH and I are going to a hockey game as a business outing. It's our business with the employees and his parents business and their employees. DHs mom seemed a little butt hurt that we weren't bringing C with. Game starts at 7, we'd have to leave by 8 before he had a melt down because bedtime. She just needs to get over it. We never do anything just us. Hope everyone has a good day!
It's still dumping snow and rain. On us so we're just gang no around home and running some errands. My family was supposed to come but I think the roads will be too bad.

Happy Easter weekend, everyone! We went to our neighborhood egg hunt this morning, and found out one of W's classmates at day care lives down the street from us, and I may make a new mom friend! It would be lovely to have more IRL moms to hang out with, especially since our kids are the same age Other than that, I'm just taking a quick break and then spending the afternoon cleaning for tomorrow, and enjoying this perfect weather we're having!
Had a fabulous visit with my parents and sister and lo was able to dye eggs using a whisk it was so fun. Then we I set him on the bath mat after his bath and he walked away and totally bit it on the tile. I'm pretty sure his elbow got the worst of it! I think it will bruise pretty good and he's got a bit of a scratch but he only cried for a couple minutes and then was his haply crazy self so I think he's OK!
budders I wonder if part of the reason I'm more of an Easter fan is because I'm in Canada. Thanksgiving was never a big deal in our family, we don't care about football and I hate pumpkin pie!
budders I wasn't offended at all. I've always kind of wondered about American thanksgiving because it seems so much bigger there. For my family Good Friday was always at my maternal grandmothers house and she made hot cross buns. All the cousins would get together to dye a ton of crazy eggs and play. Some of my favourite memories are of my grandpa getting ridiculously into dying eggs with us kids.

One night down! We got to my MIL's house around 3pm. My SIL was still asleep and my niece went to take a nap shortly after.
Despite the fact that I have been spending Easter with her family for 17 years, and each one of those years we discuss the fact that Easter occurs during Passover, my MIL still served food that my family couldn't eat.

Today was crazy hectic and I'm exhausted.
The day started well, the Easter bunny left a trail of eggs that led to the baskets, which the boys were very happy with. LBB says this was the best Easter ever. We ordered room service for breakfast, then headed over to my in-laws, who were hosting Easter.
I spent the day chasing after BH as he threw marbles, smashed eggs, pulled down picture frames from from shelves, tried to throw himself down one of the two, spiral, no- banister staircases, tried to get into the garbage, tried to knock over the freestanding full length mirror my in-laws keep propped up in their living room, and other exploits.
Glad we did room service breakfast, because the menu was: tortilla chips, berries, lasagna, and salad. My SIL's family brought lumpia, pancit, potato chips and cookies. Did I mention this meal is supposed to serve as lunch and dinner? So my children ate nothing today but berries and potato chips, and the Passover Graham crackers I brought with us. And it's not like they didn't know, because my BIL told us he was glad we had breakfast at the hotel, so they didn't have to worry about our dietary restrictions for breakfast. (Or apparently the rest of the day.)
