What's everyone up to today?

No plans here. I fell asleep by like 8 last night, so I was wide awake before 6 this morning.

It's supposed to be 82 degrees out today, so I'm planning on spending most of the day outside.

My family has kind of gone our separate ways on Easter over the last few years, and I don't really mind it, especially on a beautiful day like today.

We're in Chattanooga visiting family. Today will involve a quick hop over to Pell City Alabama and back to visit another cousin. Nothing too much and other than that, no real plans. Just hanging with family.

Happy Easter everyone! Kids did their baskets and egg hunts. Planning on making a ham dinner tonight and lounging all day.

We don't do big family gatherings anymore. We did when I was a kid after church and I hated it. So I like to just do at home things on holidays now.

Happy Easter everyone! DS found his eggs and basket already this morning so we are slowly getting ready for the day while waiting for DH to get home from church. Then we will head to my parents house to hang out with my family for the afternoon. Then dinner is with DH's family. I'm excited for ham and cheesy potatoes!

We used to get together with our extended family, and my parents are still doing that today... but I just try to make sure I visit my parents one day, DH's parents another. I have 16 aunts/uncles and 20 cousins, many of whom have children now, so the extended family thing is a big fat "hell no" for me.

DH is an only child, so family things for him are easy. We only see his cousins once a year at archery tag. I much prefer his family's style of getting together, heh.

Archery tag!? I'm not sure what that is but it sounds fun!

We told the kids this morning and they don't hate us! DD is excited and DS doesn't care too much yet. I'll post a pic later.

We told the kids this morning too! We put scan pics in an egg. My oldest said "obviously, I knew that. You're sick and not drinking coffee" 😂 ds2 jumped up and down. He's so in love with his baby brother so he's excited for another one. He said "yay! Another baby!" Lol.

DS just went down for his nap. He was very nice and slept in too. He found his Easter basket and was very excited about getting new socks. My mom and brother are coming over for dinner. She's going to set up an egg hunt for him. It's beautiful here ... low 80s but it will probably get up to 90 so I'm outside enjoying the weather before it gets too hot.

We are home from the ILs. DS is fighting a nap in his crib. It was raining this morning so I didn't put eggs out at our house but MIL put some out on her patio so he got to at least find some. I had been feeling pretty miserable but my doctor recommended taking Zantac and I think it has helped some so I could eat some ham etc without getting sick. Yay!

Not doing anything today- we hung out with friends yesterday and stopped at my mom's for a bit. We're not religious, but we do egg hunts and the Easter bunny.
DD1 had to work today, but when she got home DD2 was so excited to to spend time with her. They are so sweet together even through they're 1 month shy of being 19 years apart. lol
