Who is still using a monitor? If you're not can you hear your kid if they cry? Or are they old enough to figure it out until wake up time?
Our monitor broke months ago. Never replaced it. The bedrooms are on the other side of the stairs, but I leave my door half open and can always hear them if they're crying. We also give them 20 minutes to calm themselves back down before going in, and it's rare that we need to get up.
I have so much to catch up on, but going to try today!
Definitely a busy weekend. Spent Saturday cleaning and running errands. We had both sets of parents over on Sunday for Easter. By the time I finally got to bed on Sunday I was more than ready to fall asleep!
I had my first Mary Kay party on Monday with my mom and a neighbor and that went well.
Really annoyed with my supervisors today. They want to talk with me about letting someone else take over the intern program. This is literally the worst time to bring that up. Summer program starts in less than a month, and we're busy finalizing trainings and work stations. Besides, why should I give it up before I get my promotion? Go away, supervisors.
GDI - first thing dd said to my mom this morning was that her ear hurt and it felt like a bubble was in it.. Already made the ped. appointment. I need all of these EI's to STOP.
And my boss just called me chewing me out about if I can't make a deadline to let her know, bla bla. Uhmm, I made my deadline yesterday by 2 hours (which I told her). I "didn't make the deadline" because she didn't see the docs that I left on her desk.
We have been talking about trying to get a cleaning service in once a month to do the deep cleaning stuff that we just don't have the time to get to. I'd love to be able to afford it by the end of Summer. Hopefully, by then, we'll have all the extra junk out of the house and know what we are dealing with.
joi922, I see we are sharing the same not amused face re: supervisors.
Indeed.
We also lost big (tens of millions) on a case yesyerday, and they're holding it against me. Even though a different agency was the lead. That seems fair.
I filed our taxes last night. Getting a nice big chuck back, which is awesome, considering I still don't know how much my van will cost to repair, but I am thinking we should still be good to book our fall trip, fix the van and maybe have some left over. That was a relief. The bonus for having only received about 2/3's of my salary last year.

@betweenthelines, first off, if your DD really has an EI i am sorry. BUT.....
A likes to tell me things hurt all the time on her. All the time: A: My tummy hurts. Me: why does your tummy hurt? A: because i'm hungry. (this answer changes, other versions are, i played too much, i ate too much, i need to go poopie, it just does)
She use to do the different body parts all the time too, the knee, the leg, the foot, her elbow (seriously kid, wtf?) so i started saying (yes wait for it) well i guess we need to cut it off. Should i cut it off? you dont' kneed your elbow anymore do you?
Then i started telling her, well i guess we need to take you to the hospital. and if we go to the hospital you might get a shot.
Now we are telling her the story about the little boy who cried wolf.

One of these days she is going to figure it out.
JFC. This is my life exactly, to a T. I swear. Everything you just listed above is our life, right down cutting off limbs .
Last night, her belly hurt because I was talking to much.
So J refused pictures yesterday. Screamed and threw a fit when they sat him down to get them. This kid has been in daycare since he was 3 months old, you'd think he'd learn to be around strangers. No, my kid has to be near someone he knows at all times.
Did you see ds's picture day fail I shared last week?
Omfg w and the dog are going to drive me fucking nuts. They are both being jerk to each other and I need my dog to leave. I texted my neighbor to see if she'd take my dog. Fx.
