How old is LO? 5 months 6 month next week

How is breastfeeding going? n/a

How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? Pumping is going ok. I really thought the domperidone would help supply but it hasn't.I bought an adapter so I could pump with my spectra in the car for yesterday while we were traveling, it made the day so less stressful

Any short and/or long-term breastfeeding goals? Any goal updates? Trying to get to a year but short term goal is the end of May.

How are nights? Pretty good

Any teeth/signs of teething? Her screaming and crying yesterday was because of teething I believe. I feel a raise gum on the left lower side.

Questions/AW/Rant? None really

GTKY: Where would your dream vacation be? Bora Bora, with an overwater bungalow.

13 weeks. I can take over the check-in, but I'm kinda forgetful about coming to this board because things are going well!

Things are great except for oversupply issues.

Pumping is going smoothly. I'm buying a wetbag for my pump parts, so that's exciting...

Goal is at least one year, then letting DD self-wean.

Nights are okay. DD usually sleeps through, but I have to get up and pump at least once. Sometimes a second time.

No teething yet.

I just want to rant that I know that pumping leads to more production. But I need to pump so as not let let my boobs explode. Stupid catch-22.

How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? Still fighting the good fight. I think it's improving because I leaked the other night.

Any short and/or long-term breastfeeding goals? Any goal updates? Bf + pump until 6 mo. After that I'd like to drop the pumping.

How are nights? He wakes up at least twice MOTN.

Any teeth/signs of teething? Just an overflow of drool. I held him up above my head and of course, got a glob of drool drop on my mouth.

I'll go with a rant. DC is not consistently providing the daily reports. I'd like to know how much he's drinking plus, the last time he ate. By the time I get there the regular lady is gone, doesn't fill a report nor write it on the white board.

GTKY: Where would your dream vacation be? I agree with Pease but will add Fiji as a dream to visit.

How is breastfeeding going? I am worried about my supply. Ever since I got sick it never seemed to recover. Sometimes LO will pull off my breast, it seems like he is frustetated nothing is coming out.

How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? I use to pump over the15oz I needed per day. For a couple weeks now I am consistently pumping under (about 11oz).

Any short and/or long-term breastfeeding goals? Any goal updates? I wanted to make it to 6mo without supplementing but I don't think I have enough in the freezer to make it since I'm not pumping enough to meet his intake while I'm away.

How are nights? Usually 1 wake up to nurse.

Any teeth/signs of teething? Drool. Chewing on everything.

Questions/AW/Rant? I guess my question is how do I know he's getting enough milk from my breast? Is the only way weight checks? He has plenty of wet diapers. I'm just concerned bc my output is definitely less than it was before.

Also how do you know when to increase the amount he gets per bottle? Like 5oz to 6oz.

cookswithwine9, I'm in the same boat with lower supply. I had a stomach bug about a month ago and it impacted my supply.  I was pumping avg 12 oz and once in a while get 14 or 15.  It dropped to 9 oz. This is during the working hours. I've tried everything. Gatorade, Mother's milk, pumping longer, eating oatmeal, etc. At first my baby was doing that pulling off, kind of upset during our nursing sessions. But he seemed ok...I remember having more frequent nursing (one night he ate every 2 hrs!).  That might have also helped get my supply going again. I have no more freezer stash plus DC wanted more milk left since he seemed hungrier than just 4 oz (3 bottles). 

I decided to keep pumping and told DC to supplement with formula when needed. I'm not ready to quit BF'ing not even the pumping part. 

With regards to increasing oz, DC wanted to give him 5 oz at every bottle. Which I said was fine except there are days where he only takes 3 or 4 oz still. I heard it shouldn't vary too much until 6 months? At the same time, if baby is trying to eat more frequently then that may be a sign that he needs more. 

I also wanted to say that I noticed an improvement lately (FX) in how much milk I pump after I started adding water in the early morning. So I drink at least 2 bottles of water before 8 am.

littlelion thanks for the response! I also have tried increasing my water intake, milk tea, oatmeal, even beer lol. Nothing seems to be working. When my freezer stash runs out I will have to supplement. I'm going to try somesolids with him soon too.

cookswithwine9, littlelion, with DD1, from 12 weeks until I started transitioning to WCM at 12 months, I always sent five bottles between 3 and 3.5 oz. This was to cover between nursing sessions at 6am and 6pm. EBF babies need between 1-1.25 oz of milk per hour (between 24 and 30 oz per day).
So for our 12 hours apart, she needed 12-15 oz. Day care had her on a feeding schedule of every 2 hours. So, I divided what she needed for the day across the 5 bottles.

A baby's total required milk intake doesn't really change in the first year. You milk changes to satisfy their calorie requirements. So, if you're increasing daycare bottles, are they stretching the time between feedings? Or is baby no longer nursing at night? Just some things to consider.

I couldn't add one in the morning either and my evening one (8 pm) resulted in a total of 3 oz. Too little to make it worthwhile.  I've done a couple morning pumps on the weekends to try to rebuild my freezer stash. GL!

Makes sense with what my DC is trying to do. They spread out the feedings and he only gets 3 bottles. They'd like 15 oz JIC he needs it. I send ATM 10 oz (2 bags of 5 oz each).

I'm glad to here from you ladies on here. This is my second baby but never had these type of issues before. DS1 was such a boob snob.  He hardly ate at DC because he preferred the boob to the bottle. I would walk in for pick up and had to nurse him right then and there.

When my supply started to dip with DD1, I added in a before-bedtime pump.  It sucked, but it got me through.
