PSA/Reminder- For moms doing daycare drop off/pick ups make sure to lock your car and either put purse into trunk or bring in with you. DO NOT LEAVE KEYS AND THE CAR RUNNING!!!
I was doing a dry run today to prep for morning madness next week and right when I got to daycare another mom had her minivan car window smashed and her purse stolen! Car was left locked but purse was in the front seat. Not a great start to her week!!
Dry run wasn't bad. I was up at 5:45 and got LO1 and Miss O to daycare by 7:45! I'd left G at home since he fell asleep. Errands today that didn't happen over the weekend due to Easter activities.
It irritates the shot out of me that people leave their cars running for drop off/pick up. It's horrible for the environment.
It's very nice here so poppy and I will be walking to the beach for sure. We also have to walk to the CPA office to pick up our taxes and I need to finish up my presentation for tomorrow. Part of my interview is a presentation to a 6 person panel and it's tomorrow afternoon. I will also be meeting with 2 others for 1:1 interviews. I feel great about it so far I'm hoping I knock it out of the park tomorrow!
We walked all four kids to daycare this morning in the quad stroller. If you recall, I had to disassemble part of it at Dick's Sporting Goods a while ago because a cable got caught in a hinge. Well, apparently somewhere along the way part of the frame got bent too. It turns really badly to the left so that in order to push it straight-ish with all four kids in it I have to lean to the side at about a 15-20 degree angle into the left side of the handle. This is not usable. I'm hoping the company will refund the purchase, but I'm not too hopeful. Technically it was purchased late last year, but besides a test run or two we just started using it two months ago. I am extremely annoyed that a stroller that costs close to $500 has so many problems. It's the Foundations LX quad stroller, if you're curious. In general the design is a good idea, but the implementation so far is just not working.
Also, my mom is coming down to help me clean the house for the next few days. I'm looking forward to it, but not without reservations. I hope she's sober the whole time.
It's my first day back to work. I've only cried once so far, and the babies are doing well at home with MH. And all my students and coworkers seem to have missed me so that makes me feel nice lol. It's gonna be a long week.

nomnom I would be pissed if a new $500 stroller didn't function. I hope the company stands behind their product.
This morning I finally got around to packing up Sara's newborn clothing. I did not expect the flood of emotions. I really, really hope I'm able to use these again.

So S slept horribly when we were away. I had to feed her 5 times overnight and she was awake between some of the feedings. We came back last night and she slept a little better, but she still cried after I fed her instead of going back to sleep. Now I'm afraid to travel with her.
notagoddess I promise the traveling gets better as they get older!
nomnom Yeaaaa I hope they give you a refund. That's crazy. I would be speaking to multiple people if you get pushback.
Our weekend was crazy busy but really really fun. My bff who is away for school is coming over to see us today. It'll be the first time since the hospital visit when DS was born! Other than that no real plans. Just trying to enjoy my last two weeks on leave. 😭

LO has his two month appointment today. At least I think it's today, I forgot to write it down so I have to call to confirm.
Easter was so much fun! We went to my sister's and she put together a treasure hunt for DD. Afterwards we visited my grandma who's doing really well. She's 92, had surgery on Thursday and was already walking around yesterday.
DS is detoxing from Easter weekend. So many playmates and so much sugar... He's been... challenging... this morning. It was a good weekend, though. I'm trying to think of somewhere I can take the kids this week to try my hand at shopping with both of them. I am slightly terrified, but it needs to happen eventually.
I'm trying to get my house back together today. Then hopefully we can play outside this afternoon. I'm getting spoiled by all this nice weather!

We had a great holiday weekend. It was so nice to have family around. K was super happy to have so many people around to entertain her. Today DH is in Boston for the marathon and I an home with the babes. I went to the gym this morning, and then the park with both girls for a play date. It's nap time and I already feel exhausted! I can't believe I have two weeks left of maternity leave (also work hasn't even put out my schedule yet)...
I'm just not ready to go back.
R has been sleeping so much better. She has been doing about a 4.5/5 hour stretch, then a 3/3.5, then 2/2.5. The probiotic seems to have helped so much with her early morning farting. I hope she keeps it up! She is also sleeping all night in her crib with the mattress flat. This took until about 5 months with our first. So I am really happy about that.

cosmicav - I hope you are having a good first day back 2 work!
flyinghorses6 - is DH running Boston today? I need to make it up there to spectate someday, my marathon time will never qualify me to run.
My baby will not nap and is fussy as all heck.
My vayjayjay has cysts of fluid from where the stitches were and will get cut out in 2 weeks if not gone. OB put on an antiseptic gel and holy crap that hurt. But I'm cleared to exercise now and have 0 desire to with the pain I'm still experiencing. Not cleared for sex, DH is not happy about that.
I'm dealing with insomnia and have slept very little the past 2 nights.
DH gets home in 3 hours and 15 minutes but who's counting?

I'm going to be an aunt! BIL and SIL are expecting mid December. Finally I get to enjoy other people's babies.
Took the kids out early to the beach for a walk. The rest of the week is supposed to be shit weather so I want to aim to get the house organized this week. Today is general cleaning because MIL is coming to watch the girls in the morning so I can get DS's with 2month shots done.
I already cleared out the candy cupboard and got rid of some old candy and he excess new candy and was able to make 4 new baskets that I donated.

crazycatlady6, um, ouch! That does not sound fun. I hope your lady bits heal on their own before that! Sorry for the fussy mon/sleeping baby. Fussiness is supposed to peak at 6-8 weeks, so hopefully it'll be downhill soon!
I have SOO many friends due in the next few months. I am so happy everyone's having babies and starting/adding to their families. Also happy to not be the only ones with little babies.

The kids and I left Friday afternoon for "home" for Easter and just got back this afternoon. We were supposed to come back last night, but the Blue Jackets game went into overtime and I didn't want to start the 2 hour drive at 9:30 by myself (DH drove seperate because he went to the game for work). So today instead of coming straight home mil and I took the kids to the zoo.
It was a great weekend and C was so spoiled by both grandmas. I am so exhausted and looking forward to R and I getting back to our lazy weekday routine.
This kid is getting too tall for his bassinet. I think I have to start using the crib during the day to see if he can get used to it, everytime I have tried so far he wakes up. :/
