Yesterday was fun. I drank too much wine last night. No hangover, but I was so tired by time we got home (at 9:30pm... I feel old) that I fell asleep with all my makeup on and without brushing my teeth. I have now remedied both of those issues and have my iced coffee. I was off on Good Friday, but none of our clients were so I have so. much. work to catch up on.

Yesterday was fun...FIL/SMIL came over for lunch, which we ate on our new patio furniture. They're doing a keto diet, so we had a ton of vegetables which were delicious and tasted like spring. And we have a ton of leftovers which means I don't have to cook tonight. Today is dragging at work, and I want to go home and take a nap.
Went to the County Clerk's office this morning to register my husbands cars. Then went to the travel agency to finalize our trip next month. We're going to Scotland, England, and France for our 10 year anniversary. I can't wait!

Since I'm not supposed to be moving my leg much, mom is coming to drive me to my various errands. Which is great and all but I'm so sick from these meds that I'm terrified to stray too far from my house.
My H is on spring break this week so just getting things done! Today we got a new swingset delivered so started setting it up this morning and I'm just in with the kids now while they settle in for nap/quiet time and I'll head back out with him soon to get more done. Just a metal set to replace and upgrade the size of an old hand me down one we had that was starting to fall apart on us. But it will be nice to have something new in the backyard! The kids were pretty excited for the big truck delivery this morning and didn't know they were getting a new swing set.

One of my residents families owns a sugar bush. She went home for the weekend and I asked her to bring me some back. She brought me the dark stuff, and it's freaking glorious. I kept "sampling" it today, and I totally just put some on my piece of cake. I'm so excited because I literally have 1.5 litres of the stuff XD
Eta I meant to say maple syrup! I guess I was too excited lol

smores I got bit and reacted really badly. Full on deep skin infection in less then 48hrs. I'm on antibiotics which my body has hated my entire life so I'm incredibly sick and I'm not supposed to walk much so I don't spread the infection (never mind that walking feels like I'm being stabbed in the leg).

Well that sounds terrible! Sorry you have to deal with that I hope the antibiotics kick in soon and at least help your leg feel better, even though they'll still be making you sick. How long do you have to be on them?
There are two ways I could spend DDs nap time. 1) sitting on the couch watching Shameless and eating DD's Easter candy (she got WAY too much anyway from my parents and my in laws) or 2) working out, showering, and putting away laundry that's been sitting in a pile for a week (.....or so).

The struggle is real.
I'm in the mind that the day after a holiday is a day to recuperate from the holiday. So bring on the couch and candy!

I totally do the most as a sahm and do zero chores during the day. I take care of dd and do everything for her, but chores can wait until h is home to help.
Eta: though sometimes I get hyper and will do chores that I actually feel like doing, but that's it.
So my mom is coming down for the weekend and the guest bedroom/spare bedroom/storage area needs to be cleaned out since with having the kids and cleaning out the closet we haven't finished getting it in bins or back in our closet completely....and now it has to get down somehow this week. We have classes tomorrow and Wednesday night so FX we can get some of it done tonight.

smores thanks. I have a 10 day prescription, so still 6 days more to go but my leg feels 75% better and I'm so very tempted to stop them because I'm just that sick.
@mflowers I didn't not know that a grouping of sugar maples was called a sugar bush. Huh, Learn something new everyday. Interestingly my book mentioned a sugar bush when I was reading today.

scoutradley, yup! And a building or group of buildings where the sap is boiled down is called a sugar shack or sugar cabin. My BFF is French first, so she was very confused the first time I called it a sugar shack, because she's always called it a "cabane a sucre" lol
