We had a good Easter. Big P hunted eggs at my in-laws. Later that day she had a really hard time going poop. She was super super constipated. She was crying it hurt so much and nearly fell asleep trying to get it out. She leaned on me and it took so long. I felt so bad because I forgot to give her grape juice that keeps her regular.
I have my medication management appointment at 11 and am nervous to admit I need to raise my dose. I haven't really been fully open with myself or my doctor about how I've been doing until this past week. I can't keep going having my back tense up more than 10 times a day though. Then my back just hurts all from stress and anxiety. I was hoping to use some of the tools from therapy to manage it, but I haven't had much time to work on them.
Good morning. My house is allegedly starting to be painted today. They powerwashed and prepped it yesterday and I talked to the guy last night and he's going to fix some rotted trim and patch a bunch of woodpecker holes before he starts painting. He said he was going to get to my house early to get started, but he still wasn't there by the time I left at 8:15, so I don't know what he considers early.
DS slept on his belly the entire night for the first time. He's been starting to roll over on his belly and sleep a little bit like that, but then he usually wakes up and gets all pissed off. When I put him in the crib, he immediately rolled onto his belly. I checked on him a couple of times, mainly out of curiosity, and he was on his belly every time. He was up for the day at around 4:30, though, which I wasn't thrilled with, but whatever.
How many times a day are you offering baby food. I've been giving Lil P rice cereal in the morning and a veggie at dinner time. Are you feeding them at lunch too. I feel like a newbie again when it comes to feeding baby food.
penguin129 - DS gets breakfast, lunch and dinner and sometimes a snack, if we're eating fruit or something. He wants everything he sees you eating. LOL

penguin129 Be honest with your doctor. Hope increasing your dose helps.
I'm only managing to feed DS food once a day at this point. I'm slacking.
DH decided to call in today and stay home with us. Even though it was a 3 day weekend for him we had company the whole time so he doesn't feel like he got a weekend and spend time with us.
Roofers finished the garage yesterday, coming back to do the house today. Need to bring my SUV in for an oil change this morning. DH will follow me there and we'll go to Costco while it's getting done. I'm glad I don't have to kill time on my own with 2 kids.
Since he's home I'll also get to go for a run. DD is off school this week so my opportunities are very limited.
My aunt is driving through this week (moving from Vancouver Island to the prairies) so she's coming for dinner. Haven't seen her since last summer and her husband in years.

penguin129, it's so important to be honest with your doctor and yourself. There is nothing wrong with increasing your dose of the meds, especially if it will help. Your doctor is not going to judge you or think less because of it. Hugs to you. As for the food, G gets it twice a day. He has oatmeal at lunch time and either a fruit or veggie at dinner time. We're probably going to wait until he's had a bigger variety of foods before adding in the third meal. I feel like a newbie a lot with this feeding stuff, too.
jwinct, I hope the painter is able to get everything done, especially with the rain in the forecast. Belly sleeping has been a godsend to us.
N woke up at 5:30 this morning and came in to snuggle. I did a few things after he got up, and then, as I was getting into the shower, I hear, "Hi, G. Good morning, G." Luckily, G was already awake or I would have been very unhappy. I put together the grocery list for MH before I left as well. Tonight we have to get the dining room cleaned up and the old furniture moved because our new set is coming tomorrow. We also have to get the rest of the house cleaned before the weekend because my ILs are coming to visit.
penguin129 think about it like your doctor wants the facts. Tell them exactly how you've been feeling, what is happening physically, then based on the facts they will decide if they think it would be wise to increase your medicine. Obviously the patient has a say in it but maybe focusing on what your doctor recommends based on the facts will be a helpful way to think about it.
Just pumping at work. It's gorgeous and I am very unmotivated to be here today.
smallpotato - I doubt they'll finish all the painting before tomorrow's rain, but they're using Sherwin-Williams Resilience paint, which is moisture-resistant, so you can paint even when there's rain in the forecast and you don't have to worry about dew. They're going to get as much done today as they can and then check the forecast to see when the rain is expected to start tomorrow. I guess it's not supposed to start until nighttime, so they might be able to do a bit more in the morning. If not, they'll wait until we get another good day.
fem is she taking bottles? What are you doing wth your pumped milk? Just keeping your supply up and hoping she'll take it sometime?
She'll take an ounce or two from the bottle now, but I still feed her over lunch. They then mix some with food and spoon feed her. But yes part of it is pumping to keep my supply up. I am getting a good freezer stash!
penguin hope your appointment goes well! jwinct yay for painting! I got a mailer at work the other day from your work - made me think of you and we have a belly sleeper over here too! hikingmama222 have a good day with your hubs! smallpotato I'm jealous of your new dining set. We need one so badly! fem it's so nice here too, and I am at work unmotivated like you.
jwinct - Ah, you got our newsletter! Did you see the stupid article I wrote? I am in charge of writing the "Creative Corner" article each quarter and there's only so much you can write about when it comes to direct mail. LOL
Work today. Nothing exciting going on. I ordered two new car seats today for my husband's car (PSA: if you need a convertible seat, Amazon has several Graco ones as their Gold Box Deal of the Day today). DD's baptism is on Sunday, so I placed a catering order with Wegman's. Basically, all I've done today is shell out a bunch of money. Lol.
A is eating a fruit or a veggie at lunch and dinner. She just discovered Puffs and is in love. You have to put the whole container away when you are done or she sits and whines for more. I honestly think she likes them for the pressure on her sore gums when she chews them. Easter was nice, I got some mulching done while DH was out fishing with my brother. Knowing that one big chore is off my to do list before the Christening next weekend is greatly helping my anxiety.
I did have a serious anxiety attack this weekend though and I felt like crap most of the day afterwards. We got bad news from the marine shop that our 30 year old boat engine had finally kicked the bucket. We had already agreed beforehand on what we needed to do to get a new one before the boating season started, but to hand over that massive check sent me over the edge. I am thankful we are in a position to purchase a new to us engine and that we will be safe for the next 10-15 years, but damn. I wasn't expecting it to cost that much.

adouces06 , our current set was given to my ILs as a wedding gift 39 years ago LOL. We decided to take advantage of the promotional deal at Jordan's to get it. So fingers crossed the Red Sox get to the World Series and sweep; then we'll get the set for free.
jillian, I'm so sorry about the anxiety attack. My pedi told us we could start giving puffs, but we haven't yet. My mom bought G blueberry and purple sweet potato puffs, which were N's favorite when he was a baby. I am excited to have him try them.

I had some left over from my niece and gave her one just to see how she would react. She started chewing away like she knew exactly what to do. I was pretty shocked to be honest. Daycare said she has never given her anything other than the purees, so I don't know. She cant feed them to herself yet, obviously, but she will let you know when she's ready for another one.
The daycare asked if DS could have puffs. I was like, he just started veggies this week! Put some peas on his tray and see if he picks them up. If he gets puffs, he won't eat anything else.

Yesterday was a whirlwind at work and I basically didn't get to come here except for a brief minute. I ended up having my interview yesterday - they came to me at 2pm and asked if I could do it at 3pm! I was caught off guard, big time. But hopefully it won't matter. Now I just wait...
The boys both had EPIC MELTDOWNS last night, I have to believe it was from the long, crazy weekend (and no naps Sunday) but they were driving me absolutely insane. I'm seriously in cranky mode over DH's baseball season and I really, really need a reprieve. He has a game tomorrow and Friday, then he's off for a week and sadly I know that will feel like a huge vacation for me. If I can make it to the end of May, he'll be able to take over daycare drop-offs for me too, which will be a HUGE burden lifted. I hate that I'm basically wishing away the time, but I'm exhausted, tired, and frustrated and I need a break to happen somewhere.
Started planning DS2's birthday party as well - it's not til May 20th but I'm trying to get ahead since I have a hard time remembering to do anything these days. becole what kind of party are you having for DS? I can't believe it's already time to plan birthdays and they are going to be 3. It flies by.
ksyknelvr73 he is wanting a super hero theme. So I am renting a bounce house that has superheroes on it for our backyard. I'll have snacks and drinks and cake. I usually set up a tailgating tent for shade and have my family bring chairs. It's super easy and costs the same as having it at a "place" and he's entertained all weekend since the bounce house rental is Friday- Sunday.

That's a great idea! I haven't decided if I want to try and do a bounce house. We do have the fence in our yard now to at least contain the kids...I am going to try to keep everyone outside as much as possible too. We are doing dinosaurs - I let DS2 pick and that's what he said. Should be fun! And nice weather!
becole, ksyknelvr73, - I'm not doing a party this year - just pizza and a cake with the grandparents. We are taking her out of school on her birthday and taking her to the aquarium in Baltimore.
becole - that's so awesome that it's a weekend rental. Do you have to purchase additional insurance or does homeowner's insurance cover?

The rental place carries like a million dollar policy and they have permission slips they give you to have the parents sign. I've never had an additional policy added.
I totally get people not having parties. Totally unnecessary. DS is really into birthdays and everyone else's birthday and so I want to give it to him if he's into it.

I like having a point of entertainment because all the parents are watching their kids jump and they stay out of my house!

My appointment went ok. He wanted me to switch from Celexa to Zoloft, but we agreed on increasing my Celexa to 20 mg and taking it in the morning to see if that helps. Then if it doesn't help I'll switch meds. I've been on Zoloft in the past but I associate it with depression which I don't have so I'm hesitant to go back on it. Plus I like the Celexa. I left with an extra diagnosis of " a little social phobia" so that's new.
