Morning! We are doing some test runs for when I go back to work next week so I am bright eyed and bushy tailed. Q is with my H since he will be the one watching him, so what should I do with this morning to myself? I feel like I should clean but I don't want to.
I'm getting some laundry done early before errands. I swear I just did laundry so why is the bag so full?! Then I remember I have a spit up monster baby and mud playing toddler.
ambiguousmango who knew that such adorable little kid clothes took up so much space in the laundry basket?! The things they don't tell expectant parents.
ellabee how did the crib and room switch go last night? This morning I remembered that opheliainwaders munchkins share/will share a room, she might have tips!

Morning. I was up from 12:30-3 with ether B or DS1. Then up every two hours again to feed my monster baby. My mom told me she will watch the boys after she does some work so I can nap. I can't wait.

I am so tired today. E was a screaming crying baby when I got home and finally she calmed down and napped but completely off schedule of course. So she was up still around 9:30 last night when she is usually sleeping. Luckily it was a Tuesday and MIL was around. I want a nap so badly.
Tomorrow I have the day off, we have our appointment for E with the hospital tomorrow. I'm hoping it allows me a later afternoon nap. I have a feeling today will be a slow work day....
I feel like crap this morning. I've got a sore throat and headache, my sore boobs are keeping me up at night, and I got 5 mosquito bites yesterday while sitting out on our deck for 15min which are itching like crazy. On the plus side H only woke up once for the third night in a row so hopefully this wi ll be the new norm.
Speaking of which, my pregnant friend was taking about how her H sleep trained their 3yr old to STTN at 8 weeks. I kind of dismissed it before because I though this want recommended before 6mo. She was talking about how her H is taking a week off work to do the same at 8 weeks with #2 so I asked more questions. Apparently this is a thing even with BF babies! Not sure I could have done it with either baby, or even now with H, but I thought it was interesting...

It went alright, thanks for asking! Bedtime was okay - I put B down in the crib while DH read books to DD in our room, then I brought her back in to tuck her in. I only had to go back in twice to remind her to be quiet. B woke up after 40 minutes and I had to nurse him again (he's been doing this the last few nights, it's so weird - like he can't get over that first transition into deeper sleep). After that he did a stretch of just under 6hrs. From there it went downhill and we were up every hour or two. He was exhausted and overtired when I sent him to daycare this morning so I feel bad for the rough day he's in for.
Night 2 has to be better, right? The 2 weeks prior to easter he had been doing an 8 or 9 hr stretch followed by eating at 4:30 and then back down until 6:30. I guess that short span of time spoiled me a little bit.
We have the babybjorn bassinet and the legs on it are kinda springy, so when B fusses in the motn, it gives this little jiggle. I think that's been helping him get right back to sleep if he wakes up in between sleep cycles. With the crib we don't have that, so I think that's also one of the adjustments we're up against.

Add me to the sleepy list. After pumping at 2am, my usually wonderful sleeper was up at 3 and 4:45. She wasn't sleepy, just wide awake making noise/"talking" to herself. I tried to feed her both times to trick her back to sleep but it didn't work. I LOATHE the wake-ups that happen right before my alarm goes off.
I have the parking lot rage. FFFC: sometimes I wish I had an old beater car and it was socially acceptable to bash the car door into cars that are awfully parked.
I had a foot on either side of the line. I came out of the store and the lady had parked over the line and at an angle. It was physically impossible to get into the drivers seat or put ds in on his side. The kicker is the lady could barely squeeze into her drivers seat and had a toddler so she should know the drill. She looked sufficiently embarrassed coming out to see me reaching over dd's base trying to strap ds in from the opposite side of the car (I tossed him in from the wrong side), with dd screaming on the ground in her bucket. I don't understand because I always make sure I have space on both side and notice if other people have car seats too.
Also don't walk diagonally across the parking lot at a leisurely pace. Get out of traffic asap! Grrrrr

judyblume14 and heybulldog56, Q used to do this at 3 in the morning. It was awful because he was giving me the biggest smiles and best coos and I'm just like "go the f to sleep!!!" We have outgrown this and he now waits till 7 am to start to coo, I can live with this.
lakegirl that is the worst o hate stupid drivers. Ffc I leave a pad of paper and a pen in my car to leave notes for the REALLY bad drivers/parkers.

lakegirl, people who walk diagonally across parking lots drive me insane.
Also, PSA: my mom bought DS this kinetic rock construction site kit... AWFUL! DS loves it but omg there are little pebbles all over the damn place. I keep stepping on them and it sucks. This is definitely staying at grandma and abuelo's house.

So for Easter E got quite a few at least 5 or 6 stuffed animals, OMG people with the stuffed animals. She has been around almost 6 months and I swear there are close to 30 in the house in various places.

peaseblossom55 I feel you on the stuffed animals, and surprisingly books too. For Easter Q got 9 books, that's a little much. We need to buy a bookshelf just for all his stuff.

ambiguousmango, if a nap and a pedi are remote possibilities DO IT, I will be there with you in spirit!
peaseblossom55, +1 for the smiley morning baby. I'm not a morning person whatsoever, but seeing that smiley baby, I think some days I could be! OMG the stuffed animals AKA Dog and dust magnets...I HATE them, and MIL brings one every time we see her. I want to tell her save your money!

Start thinning the collection out now. Donate, re-gift, whatever. It is 100x harder to give away a toddler's treasures.

I'm sure. H already mentioned donating some. We just need to figure out where.

+1 to judyblume14's advice re: stuffed animals. I loath them and am very quick to donate before attachments form. Luckily DS1 doesn't care for them much so he's oblivious to their disappearance.

I don't mind the books as much. We definitely will need a bookshelf soon.

peaseblossom55, I love books and I will take them over stuffed animals any day of the week, but we have limited space and it seems like if we visit anyone he walks away with multiple books.
