How many loads do you wash a week? 5 ish?
When do you wash them? All at once? Some each day? I've tried multiple plans. Right now, I prefer to cram it all in to the weekend so mh can help me fold and put away. It seems less overwhelming than one load a day.
How do you sort your laundry? Darks and lights for adults, kids all together, bedsheets, towels.
Is everyone's laundry together or separate? Adults together, kids together
Do you dry everything in the dryer? On the line? Most stuff in the dryer, most of my things laid out on the couch to air dry.
What is your favorite part of laundry? Uhhhhhh, none of it?
What's the worst part of laundry? All of it? But mostly folding and putting it away.
Any tips or tricks to make it easier? Usually, I like to separate things as they come out of the dryer. I pull them out and sort them into the basket by type of thing per person. Then when I fold, I fold all of mh's socks at once, all my workout clothes at once, etc. I hate reaching into a messy pile and folding random garments that are all folded differently and belong to different people.

I feel like so much of my life at home is spent doing laundry. OMG.
How many loads do you wash a week? I'd guess four to six. When do you wash them? All at once? Some each day? Some days I go through many loads all at once, and sometimes I just throw in what I specifically need to be clean so I or someone else can wear it again. How do you sort your laundry? What is sorting? Is everyone's laundry together or separate? Everyone's laundry is together, see above comment. Do you dry everything in the dryer? On the line? Dryer. I like the idea of the line, but I have too much laundry and not enough time. What is your favorite part of laundry? My favorite part of laundry is feeling accomplished when I push the "start" button. What's the worst part of laundry? Folding it and putting it away. I mean putting it away is my least favorite thing of all time. Any tips or tricks to make it easier? Teach the kids how to do it! I still struggle with getting them to put their piles of clean laundry away, so.

On the line? a mix, mostly the dryer unless it's something that should not go in there. i line dry all of R's WAHM clothing What is your favorite part of laundry? absolutely none of it What's the worst part of laundry? putting away is bad - but ironing is the absolute worst Any tips or tricks to make it easier? no
About 12 loads/week. Usually 2 loads/week day and one each on the weekends. Clean dry laundry often lives for several days on the designated laundry couch until one of us has time to fold and put t away. The handwash stuff has to wait like 6 months before I muster up the energy to do that stuff though.
No to sorting anything or washing certain people's stuff together.
The worst part of laundry is everything. Especially trying to swap out clothing sizes.

Oh I quit matching socks. I just throw them in a the drawer for each kid and they pick out the ones they want each morning. Saves a ton of time. Highly recommended.

How many loads do you wash a week?
I think 6 or 7. I don't really count.
When do you wash them? All at once? Some each day?
I try to stick to Fly Lady's "a load a day keeps the chaos away" but I tend to fall off of the wagon at some point each week and end up doing like 5 loads in one day, usually on Monday, which is also the day I change sheets.
How do you sort your laundry?
Mostly just light/whites that I wash on warm and darks that I wash on cold. Occasionally I will bleach a load of whites. I used to separate things further but I would end up with massive piles of laundry. It is easier for me to keep up with less separation.
Is everyone's laundry together or separate?
Together. I really should separate DH's work clothes because they get a build up of grease (like from french fries) on them and I started noticing all of our darks smelling like that. I switched from Tide to Persil and it has helped the smell so I'm still washing them with the other laundry.
Do you dry everything in the dryer? On the line?
Dryer. I'd love to have an outdoor line but my dog would eat my laundry.
What is your favorite part of laundry?
When the laundry basket is empty.
What's the worst part of laundry?
Putting the clean laundry away. I don't mind throwing things into the washer and dryer and I don't even mind folding, but hanging up the shirts and carrying things to everyone's room to put away I just cannot. I usually fold while the kids are asleep since they love to play in the piles I've just folded, so then I end up with an overflowing basket of clean kids clothes in my room until they run out of clean clothes in their closets.
Any tips or tricks to make it easier?
Simplifying the routine really helped me, as did chanting that Fly Lady thing to myself. At some point my kids will be old enough to put their own laundry away at some point, right?

How many loads do you wash a week? 5-7 plus diapers When do you wash them? All at once? Some each day? Depends on how fast the loads build up. Usually 1-2 loads per wash day. How do you sort your laundry? Diapers, cold whites, colors, towels (towels includes family cloth, towels, kitchen cloth, etc washed exactly like diaper load) Is everyone's laundry together or separate? Dh, Pip's, and mine washed together, adults responsible for their own laundry. Do you dry everything in the dryer? On the line? I dry mostly in dryer but will hang on clothes line in summer. What is your favorite part of laundry? Diapers. I used to love watching laundry agitate but new washer won't let me do that anymore. What's the worst part of laundry? Remembering to retrieve it from the machines. Any tips or tricks to make it easier? Don't let it build up to overwhelming levels. If hanging on clothes hangers is easier than folding for you then hang as much as possible and ditch the dressers.

Other tips to make laundry easier - reduce the amount of clothes each person owns to aboout 7-10 days worth. Less clothes sitting in a clothes basket, clean or dirty, helps mentally. Fewer clothes also makes putting away less daunting - no fights to fit more stuff in an over stuffed container.
Pay attention to clothes care labels before buying. Avoid special care items if practical. No matter how cute an item is, this mama ain't got time for clothes that can't just be tossed into the washer with the other clothes - even work clothes. The only exception is dh's suit and dress shirts he takes to have dry cleaned and professionally pressed.

How many loads do you wash a week? About 4
When do you wash them? All at once? Some each day? Well, I wash the diapers all at once during the week. Then I wash the baby's clothes all at once. DH does the rest of our laundry on the weekends, sometimes it takes him a few days.
How do you sort your laundry? I don't sort. DH sorts by lights, darks, colors, whites, towels. Is everyone's laundry together or separate? Together, except the baby's. Hers is always separate.
Do you dry everything in the dryer? On the line? Most stuff goes in the dryer, except jeans, some shirts, and my bras. We hang those/lay flat to dry.
What is your favorite part of laundry? Putting it away, and being done.
What's the worst part of laundry? When I forget it's in the wash, and it gets that horrible wet smell.
Any tips or tricks to make it easier? Like others said, try not to let it build up and get overwhelming. Watch/listen to tv or something while you're sorting or folding, and it won't seem so bad.
How many loads do you wash a week? Really depends on the week. Sometimes 6 or 7. Sometimes 2. (not including diapers) I just let it collect until I have enough for a load or 2 of a certain type.
When do you wash them? All at once? Some each day? Also depends. Some weeks I'll do a marathon on the weekends and do like 4 or 5 loads in one day. Most weeks though I alternate evenings with diaper laundry and then do the rest on the weekend.
How do you sort your laundry? The whole family's clothes get split into the following loads: darks, brights, whites. Then there's towels/kitchen cloth/bibs. Delicates of all colors. Sometimes sheets are their own load, sometimes they bulk up a smaller whites load.
Is everyone's laundry together or separate? Together.
Do you dry everything in the dryer? On the line? Dryer.
What is your favorite part of laundry? The smell of clean clothes coming out of the dryer.
What's the worst part of laundry? Putting folded laundry away. Currently my bedroom has roughly 5 baskets full of clean, folded laundry that I just can't make myself put away. I have a problem.
Any tips or tricks to make it easier? None really. DH has gotten (mostly) good about learning how I sort things, so that helps. We have separate baskets for all the different loads so that I'm not sorting things as I try to do laundry, it's already sorted.
Very true!! I've not bought several cute clothing items because they're dry clean only. DNW. I know myself well enough to know that I'd wear that item once or twice and then it would sit, dirty waiting to be dry cleaned for a year.
How many loads do you wash a week? 4-6 When do you wash them? All at once? Some each day? Usually throughout the week How do you sort your laundry? If there is enough, lights and darks Is everyone's laundry together or separate? DH and my laundry is mixed, each kid is separate Do you dry everything in the dryer? On the line? Dryer What is your favorite part of laundry? Starting the washer What's the worst part of laundry? Folding and putting away Any tips or tricks to make it easier? I like to fold my clothes on a table so if I get interrupted it's less likely the toddler or animals will get at the piles.
How many loads do you wash a week? 6-7, not counting diapers When do you wash them? All at once? Some each day? Usually split between Saturday and Sunday. If I get behind, I alternate days with diapers during the week. How do you sort your laundry? Mine, H's, baby, sheets/towels, kitchen cloth Is everyone's laundry together or separate? See above Do you dry everything in the dryer? On the line? Dryer. What is your favorite part of laundry? Having clean clothes What's the worst part of laundry? Folding/putting away. Any tips or tricks to make it easier? MAke H do his own?

-Late to the party but still want to play! How many loads do you wash a week? -6 to 8? Never actually tracked it
When do you wash them? All at once? Some each day? -1 or 2 loads almost everyday
How do you sort your laundry? -MH is almost always separate from mine and L's. Depending how much there is, mine and L's are either separate or together. Kitchen laundry or cleaning rags or sheets/blankets by itself as needed. Socks and underwear with CDs or bath towels/mats EOD or E3D. No longer by color for clothes.
Is everyone's laundry together or separate? -See above LOL
Do you dry everything in the dryer? On the line? -Nearly everything in dryer except diapers and my clothes I don't want faded or accidentally shrunk.
What is your favorite part of laundry? -Fresh sheets and towels
What's the worst part of laundry? -Actually putting it away
Any tips or tricks to make it easier? - All the separating by type is easier for me. I used to do it by colors. When we were newlyweds, I safety pinned MH socks together before washing so he'd have a matching pair. Eventually I realized he didn't care so I stopped. Of course that made it easier LOL.

ETA like pipsqueak, I used to like watching laundry agitate in my old school top loader.

How many loads do you wash a week? 4 to 6 or so
When do you wash them? All at once? Some each day? I'm attempting to atleast 1 load each day instead of spending my weekends doing laundry
How do you sort your laundry? I sort mine out to many different loads. I don't do a load until I have a full load: Baby's clothes, Toddler's clothes, Kid's sheets/towels/jeans/thick pants, Jeans/Shorts, darks, whites, towels/sheets, delicates
I also keep a separate laundry basket to throw my dry clean and delicate laundry so that they don't get thrown into a wash accidentally.
Is everyone's laundry together or separate? Each kid's clothes are separated (mainly due to it being too bugbear of a load and hating separating while folding), kids towels/sheets are done together, adult stuff is all done together
Do you dry everything in the dryer? On the line? Dryer except for a few of my items that are hang dry only
What is your favorite part of laundry? It being done and having clean clothes
What's the worst part of laundry? Folding, I really don't mind the putting away, but despise folding
Any tips or tricks to make it easier? I make DH fold and put away his own clothes. I hate folding undershirts, so I make him do it.

When I started my 1 load a day plan and couldnt get caught up, I seriously thought "I don't know how SAK does it. Too bad she's not on the around anymore to ask." Do you feel like you are constantly doing laundry or do you do one load in the morning and one at night type routine?

How many loads do you wash a week? When do you wash them? All at once? Some each day? I don't really know. I either do 1-2 loads per day or wait until everything is dirty and binge wash, depending on mood and circumstance.
How do you sort your laundry? Dark clothes, light clothes, jeans/pants, white clothes, white socks, bath and beach towels, cleaning and kitchen towels, delicates, hand wash/wool/cashmere, sheets, blankets. This thread has me feeling like my sorting is at an 11.
Is everyone's laundry together or separate? Everyone's stuff goes together in the proper sorting bin.
Do you dry everything in the dryer? On the line? I put most things in the dryer, but air dry delicates, wool, certain shirts that I think would shrink.
What is your favorite part of laundry? I actually really like sorting.
What's the worst part of laundry? Putting things away once they're hung or folded.
Any tips or tricks to make it easier? I lay everything flat out of the dryer and it goes onto the guest bed. I have really hit a rut with taking care of it, so I take care of just a few items at a time instead of feeling obligated to take care of all of it at once. Also I hang everything that I can. At my old apartment we had a bar over the dryer to hang everything straight away, and laundry was so much more manageable there. Also I keep two hampers in the bedrooms for unsorted clothes, and I regularly sort those things out into the proper hampers, then do a load whenever that hamper is full.
