This is genius! Why did this not occur to me sooner?
Sometimes I feel a little guilty about it. We have an unspoken agreement that no one gets to sit on the couch/go to bed until all necessary chore are done (which is really only bottles/dishes/lunches... sometimes folding laundry). So I'm sitting in a rocker, snuggling my bebe, playing on my phone. But when I wake up at 3am to calm the baby, or hook my boobs up to the pump? I remember that I earned that chill-out time, and feel less guilty about H washing the flanges ;-)
I'm insanely jealous of this. My H hasn't washed a bottle since N was born, and definitely hasn't touched my pump parts.

H will wash bottles but he won't touch the pump parts. I call it a win win.

Have you ever asked? I tend to say things like "Do you want to breast feed the baby, or wash bottles and pump parts?"

To be honest, no. But I do remind him constantly that he hasn't washed a single bottle, hoping he'd take the hint. Next time I'm about to change a massively poopy diaper I'll have to do this.
