Babes gave me decent sleep last night. Down at 9. Up at 12:30 to eat and now again at 4:30. My mom has my aunt coming over today to watch the babes so only have to do daycare drop off with LO1.
DH talked me down some last night. Work today willl be easy. People will be getting updates and look at pic of the babies, I'll be pumping 3x, and lastly I'll have no access to anything but email. So I can get my IT ticket submitted and then just start my email purge. I havent gone on to see how many I have. Could be 50 could be 1000.
We're hanging today and heading to my office late. It's my co-worker's last day so we're going to the party. H is coming home late so it will break up the long day alone.

Good luck today @jacks605. Hooray for sleep!
I've got a big day today. IUD placement at 10:15. Therapy at 1pm. Meeting with my company to discuss returning from leave at 3pm. Call with freelance lady to accept/decline at 5pm.
MIL is babysitting this whole time. I'm feeding E now and will commence bottle making and getting ready as soon as she's down.

Good luck @jacks605 you've got this!!!
Good luck with the IUD loves2shop4shoes and with the rest of the day! Please report back, I will be waiting for updates
So my plan of giving bottles of half EBM and half formula last night definitely helped LO sleep better. We got almost 5 hours, then two 3 hour stretches. She still got gassy as around 5 am; but she "stayed asleep" until 6:15 so I let her sleep in there just scooting around. Now we are snuggling on the couch before the rest of the family wakes up.
I am glad she slept better, but I don't feel like I got much more sleep. After warming bottles, staying up after to pump and take care of the milk and then prep the next bottle, I couldn't drift as easily back into sleep. Especially at 3:30. Our toddler also was up crying a lot last night. Like I said very happy the baby slept better, hopefully it wasn't a fluke. But I've said that before...
No crazy plans- gotta get my butt to the gym after taking the last 2 days off. It's going to rain all day, so not sure what I am going to do to entertain K.
Baby gave me a 5 hour stretch, but then was up 1.75 and 1 hour after that. What!? Hopefully that doesn't happen regularly. She is 7 weeks old today!
H is being brave and taking DS camping tonight. I'm not sure how this is going to go. I told him he can bring DS home anytime - he just has to let me know that there's a kid in the crib...
So I need to get his bag packed. Just housework today otherwise. Washing diapers. I might work on cleaning up the nursery since Miss C is going to be sleeping there soon. It looks cluttered. I am sure decluttering it will help her sleep better
flyinghorses6 yay for better baby sleep. Sorry you didn't sleep well.
Z was awesome and slept from 8-6! I'm not going to get too used to that, but it was appreciated.
Day 3 on our own, two more to go after today. I'm waiting to hear if a friend of mine is coming up for the night tonight. She had a lap on Wednesday so I don't really expect her to, but she's pretty determined.
I've been able to get the last two days to go by pretty quickly by staying busy but it's rainy and gross here today so we may be stuck inside.
Oh! When I went to carters yesterday there was this guy there literally buying entire racks of clothes. He'd walk over and take everything, in every size, off the rack. He was clearly buying everything to resell it on Amazon or another site and it made me so angry because it was during the huge sale so he'll be ripping people off. Plus he was buying out the store before I could even look at things!
@preppy Did you hear anything yesterday? Sorry if you did and I missed it!
We have our 2 month appointment this afternoon. We're just going to hang out at the house today until we have to leave. I need to fit in some laundry and a workout between now and then. Literally no plans for this weekend. Feels kind of nice.

Not yet! I am just staring at my phone, it's giving me a stomach ache. The woman I'm up against has an MBA and I'm just hoping that doesn't put me out. I should hopefully find out today.
@flyinghorses is there a reason you need to pump each time she's up? Could you just do 1 or 2?
ETA or enlist your dh to give a bottle while you pump at least one of the times?
I'm pumping because my supply sucks! I don't want it to get any worse. So I pumped after her first bottle (7:30), and then midnight and 3:30. This also works for when I will be able to pump at work. Plus a 7 am pump where as now I nurse her at that time. As she sleeps better I will drop sessions.
DH could help in theory. I'm pretty stubborn and won't ask for help. Also I really can't handle him bitching about being tired so there's that. He will be doing all the night time stuff 3x a week starting May when I'm back to work.
I got new glasses yesterday!!! I ordered them from zenni optical and they are the shit. Still getting used to them but I think I like them. I wear glasses all day every day so it was much needed. My last glasses update was in April 2009. THAT WAS EIGHT YEARS AGO!! Damn.

@jacks605, good luck today! You've got this! @preppy FX for you!
Today should be chore day over here because I'm behind on laundry and cleaning and we have no food. I'm feeling tired and unmotivated though. It's so much harder to do everyday stuff with a baby. As much as I love being a mom, sometimes the idea of not getting any real breaks from it for years is overwhelming!

@jacks605 hope your day is calm and easy! loves2shop4shoes good luck on everything today. We're all wishing the best for you! flyinghorses6 Glad baby got better sleep. Hopefully the crazy routine will be over before you know it. Hang in there! shawnabm1320 decluttering always helps me sleep better. Fx it will do the trick for your LO
Another day of bad weather here. I had a successful nap yesterday by getting him to sleep on his side! The second one didn't go as well, but that's ok! And he can now roll his way out of tummy time, and he seems to think this is funny. So I'm hoping for more side/tummy naps to make up the difference since rolling him back over only lasts so long before he gets frustrated with me lol

Today is just me and baby. Coworkers invited me out to lunch, so since DH is WFH today we're going to attempt nap time while I'm gone and a bottle of fresh milk just in case I'm out too long. It'll be fun to see everyone on my team. One announced yesterday that he is expecting baby number two! I hope I can make myself presentable before lunch!

I already can't today. I have to call the social worker on base. They have to figure something out because I can't right now. Plus I finally managed a 3 minute shower only to have my hair projectile vomited on before it was even fully dried so my spirit is broken right now.

littleredfish I'm sorry. I hope they can be helpful -- you deserve that.
I straightened up and started a load of laundry. S is passed out in the wrap. We have mom and baby yoga in a bit. I wish I didn't have to wake her though. At some point I need to start letting her have a regular nap schedule.

loves2shop4shoes quite the day, good luck with the job related stuff.
littleredfish hugs mama. I'm thinking about you a lot.
@jacks605 good luck at work. Hugs!
Not sure what we're doing today. I should exercise and do one of many organization projects on my to do list. But I'm really tired and feeling lazy. So I want to take a nap, go shopping, and get a DQ Blizzard that I couldn't stop obsessing over yesterday. I'm really trying to eat better, I really need to lose the rest of this weight, but bad food is oh so good.
I just got home from the gym. I was dragging today; but glad I got it in. 3.5 lbs below my prepregnancy weight and 6.5 to go to reach my goal. I'm so excited about this! Just gotta keep it up.
IUD is in. Insertion was painless. I went with Kyleena.
Stopped home before therapy. MIL gave me shit because I keep the house "too quiet". The baby stirred when she put on the tv and she said it's because I keep the house too quiet and slapped my arm. It made me twitchy.
She helps out a ton and she means well, but some of these comments just seem desperately nitpicky. Like, I'm doing the best I can. I think I do a good job. Are you just looking for something, ANYTHING to criticize?

My cousin is pregnant and having a baby shower next week. She's suuuper crunchy. She posted on Facebook about what they want as gifts and she's all like "we will not be using conventional cosmetics, bottles, pacis, a crib blablabla".
I always find it funny that people who have no kids yet are so sure about everything LOL
*disclaimer I have no problem if you choose to do these things, you do you etc. It's just kids have a way of making you eat your "I will nevers"
The olds think you need a noisy house to help babies learn to sleep. I don't have an opinion either way. My big kid sleeps through thunder and some fairly major construction in our neighborhood. But when it's naptime, sure as shit I'm doing everything in my power to keep a quiet house.
loves2shop4shoes I would really just release it. I don't think she was intending to be critical or comment on your ability to mother. I would roll your eyes and keep moving. If you want to be snarky, make a screentime comment. But I would really spend zero energy fussing over her comment.
