Today is payday! Which would be more exciting if I had woken up to my paycheck actually in my account🙄 We have a new payroll CEO and something tells me he did something wrong.... I'm assuming I'll have to drive in and pick up a paper check🙄🙄🙄
I'm starting a braces fund for ds1 lol he basically said his teeth look perfect right now but since they are so close together (he doesn't have any space in between his teeth like ds2 does), that his adult teeth will be coming in overcrowded.
You will be unsurprised to know LBB has the same problem.
Last day of work! (At this job) I'm debating about whether I want to go for a run after work or not. On the one hand, it's my last day able to run the routes around my office and I haven't run in over a week. On the other hand, it's not like the routes are that great...and it's Friday. Save
I'm sickish-sore throat and super tired regardless of the good night of sleep I had last night. O has not been well all week; low fevers, snot galore, crap sleep, and generally not himself. I'm contemplating taking him to the doctor. My mom makes me feel paranoid about him whenever he's sick. I've taken him in a couple times because she thought he was sicker than he was. He doesnt have a fever today but was still super cranky about nothing so I gave him Advil. I put on a favorite MMC episode and now he's snuggling with me while he watches it. I have to finish meal planning for next week and we'll go grocery shopping. I know O will be happy to get out of the house. Maybe I treat myself to more coffee.
Good morning! Today is surgery day, so I was pretty bummed to drop my kid off at day care on our normal W and mama day. But it's not all bad - the weather sucks, and they had these adorable little bumble bee ride on toys that he immediately started riding on, so he's having fun. And now that I have some errands done, my butt is parked on the couch for the next two hours or so until it's time to go. I fully plan on making H stop at Jimmy Johns when we're done so I can eat a sandwich and treat myself to one of those giant cookies. Lots of fun things on tap for the rest of the weekend!
michyme123, I'd get a second opinion from and orthodontist since they specialize in stuff like that especially since your son is still so young. My dentist recommended something for me that fixed one problem and created a more drastic issue.
This is a rare day I'm bummed it's Friday because it's H's last official day of spring break, besides the weekend! We did squeeze a walk in this morning but it started to sprinkle on the way back and is just cold and rainy now, so not much for outside today or the next few it looks like. I just invited my dad over to hang out today because my grandma has been sick and he's getting really tired and overwhelmed, and I'm pretty sure my mom is away tonight.

Thanks, guys! Surgery is done, my uterus is now all clean and ready for hopefully a new occupant soon, and H is on toddler the rest of the day. And I finally got to eat, so winning all around!

stinybean - my philosophy with races is distance, not time. So I believe in you. You can do 6 miles. Find a pace that works, if you have to walk, then walk. Finishing is the accomplishment.
When is the race? How many miles are you used to doing? Do you have time to add mileage between now and race day?
billyhorrible I have 16 days until race day. My max distance in training has been 4.5 m. I know in a race I can go further, just because of those around me. It's just scary. Thanks for the words of encouragement! I want to try to run as much as possible because I feel like a 10k is more serious than a 5k & that walking is frowned upon, but I'm glad you think it's ok.
budders I can't even imagine a half marathon! Ahhh! Only training for 8 and having to do 13, you're friend is amazing!
sugarkissed is always about the steps! But you'll always have more than me 😉
My thoughts: *typically in training you don't run the full distance of the race, so even if you were training for a 10k, you might top out at 4.5 miles.
*personally, I'd try for a 5 mile run in the next 16 days, but keep my other runs around 3 miles. But again, if you can't fit it in, you'll be fine with where you are now.
*walking is never frowned upon! I've done a couple half marathons with Jeff Galloway who has this whole technique that involves run/walk splits. People use it for half marathons AND full marathons. Some people will walk a race no matter the distance. As long as you're within the time cutoff, no one will give you any grief.
